Finally I'm inside to eat something ... Was busy again ... the 3 kids and the blind moved back down ... when they are in front of my house I can at least keep them in sight ... The little ones are still so small that they try to get under the wires of the fence trying so I could not just leave them outside without supervision... Redistribution of the stables below.
Voor onze jongen met penisontsteking poederpeniceline gaan halen....hij is de enige die echt angst had voor de mens en ik heb geen zin om zijn vertrouwen nu te gaan beschamen door hem in het nauw te drijven...t belangrijkste is dat ze antibiotica krijgen. I went to get peniceline in powder for our boy with the penis inflammation .... he is the only one who really has to fear for humans and I do not want to betray his confidence now to push him into a corner to give him an injection...it s more important that he just gets his antibiotics.
Our blind girl is now neighing every time she hears my voice ... what a sweetheart

When I left my house this morning, everything was nice and quiet .... all the big ones were outside looking on the ground to seek for a bit ... avena or alfalfa ...the littlens and blind Filly were locked inside for the night ...
When they heard me coming, suddenly and violently screaming came from the stables .... so I hurried over there ... One of the kids had rolled down to the wall, could not turn and therefor could not get up .... Luckily I was there to help .... If this had happened while they were at the other stables, then I would not have heard it and would have maybe been too late
I'm waiting for my neighbour now to help me get blind Filly up on her feed again. And then work again to have a better fence for the littlens who sneak around, make a new seperation in the stables, go to the brico to buy large panels and at 13h30 I m going to the market for fruit and vegetables for them .... I need to go slowly in changing their eating habbits. So until later!
This gray one made it clear to me from the first moment that I had to intervene and save him, along with the others ... he has put everything into motion !
Without these two .... it would not have been possible ... they showed me the way

Our blind girl is doing well ... still too weak to stand up on her own ... but is getting stronger every day!. .
This one is very special .... he follows me everywhere ... with his eyes .... everywhere .... and tells me: "I m the one"!

So short version now as I want to go back to our girl.
The vet had cancelled the appointment this morning because they had to go for a coliccase to Benidorm.
With the help of my dogs vet Juan M. Griñán from VETJG in Mutxamel, we did not have to go to the clinic anymore and everything could be done at home: clean the eyes with camomillewater, oftalmowelldrops in the eyes (6x per day) and antibiotics in the form of 5 ml clamoxyl injection.
But at 5.30 p.m. she was laying down ... I had to get my neighbours to help me lift her because she could no longer get up. I applied Photonic therapy and treated also the colicpoints... I just hope she comes trough it ...

The pathetic sick blind mare is one year old or so, there are only a few foals from 3 months old and the others are all between 1-2 years old:
I just got back inside now to finally get something to eat ... spent whole morning with the horses, at 12:30 they brought a load of alfalfa, at 1p.m. I left to go and see my vet Juan M. Griñán and then I went to a market for lettuce and green stuff because I have to change their eating habbits slowly so that the risk of colic remains as small as possible and today is Sunday and there is nothing open around here ...
Now I can not give them the good food that my horses get because it is too rich for them and completely different to what they are used to... Of course they had some alfalfa too
I got back at 3 p.m....I went upstairs to give the littlens their dose and then the big ones got theirs ...
And then my neighbour Joe came by and gave us some apples, bread and other residues for the foals!
And now I m going back upstairs to the "blind Filly" to give her an injection of clamoxyl 5 ml, eye drops and wash her eyes out with camomillewater.
Ow yes I haven t told you yet... we had an appointment in the horse clinic this morning at 10h30 but the doctor called me around 9 to tell me that he had to go to Benidorm for a horse with colic...

Everything is ok with my rescue dogs ... they had no problem with the foals ...

I m going to take care of my horses and dogs here and then I m going back with the trailer to retrieve the sick girl and bring her to the horse clinic, if necessary for a last shot ...at my expense of course ... ... ... rather that than to know that she suffers.

Edit: the boss will only be back at 4 p.m.... just told me he ll give me a foal or 2 of just a few months old ...apparently the moms were ill and had no milk...he asked 300 for each...I said "NO"
Ow yes I could take them all to 300 each, but the papers are not in order ...they are thoroughbreds but they only wear the chip of the breeder, not the chip from the government ... So they are definitely not worth 500 ... and I also really can not feed 16 foals ... then my foodreserve would be eaten by next week .... and the only one we really wanted to get, we can t ... it would not be his....
ow yes thumbs up for me & the foals ...because if the state police stops us ... then we really will be in the ****!

I took the girl with the severe eye-infection and the boy with the bad feet ... he wanted 200 for him... after long negotiations, the owner had to sent a small truc for a few others ... guess by tomorrow how many I bought & saved... the winner gets a colt at costprice if he wants:

From Monday on I am supposed to start with my privatpractice again (I was not allowed to work because of a broken vertebrae), I have several serious ailments such as fribromialgie and ME but I feel a lot better thanks to the torch therapy ...
As of May I was supposed to have workshops at my place, regarding horses and nature ... now, all the boxes I ve build will be occupied with these rescuehorses and I will have no room for the horses of visitors ...
From January on I was supposed to go and give a workshop every month in neighboring countries ... who will take care then of these horses?
I am quite confused but must go now ...
My heart says one thing, my mind says something else ... if I could limit it to 2 ... that would be ok, but then there is the blind girl too ...

Report of today:
I left this morning with some carrots, apples, dry bread and some alfalfa ...
Well imagine....they did not know what that round green thing was, or that long narrow reddish thing and what should you do with that hard white thing they wondered there on the floor or in other words ... they did not know what an apple was or a carrot or bread...
At first I was afraid they would start fighting over the food .... instead they were afraid of it So then I cut the apples & carrots into small pieces and scattered them around ... gradually they tasted it and started eating everything nicely
But when they saw the alfalfa coming they left the rest alone ... alfalfa is the icing on the cake I put the alfalfa on the straw that was there already.
It was obvious that some colts were looking better than last week ... they had clearly been eating ... And then I saw what they were eating: lettice
And apparently they are crazy of it ... they even left the alfalfa just to go and eat what the truck had dumped
At first sight everything is better than last week ... would he fears that I would do something? Well I do not care as long as the foals are getting better!
One is in bad shape ... in a very bad shape according to our principles ...(but not bad enough according to the Spanish to call a vet apparently) She has a severe eye infection ... and therefor emited by the others, was not able to find water and she ate little ...she is so terribly skinny
To make a long story short ... this afternoon I met the current owner and negotiated seriously ... all the help that was offered to me from others was broken off ... no one wanted to rescue a foal at that price.
I came to an agreement at 500 per foal and I 'll take 6 of them tomorrow ... and the sick girl to drive her directly to the clinic. There they can tell me whether we can save her eyes, and if she can make it....if not I' ll put a stop to her suffering. Today she really enjoyed my attention...at first she was surprised of my touch but soon after she started to push into me to be cuddled even more ... I certainly spent over an hour just with her to feed her, cuddle her and help her drinking ... she s is a really sweet softy ... I hope I can help her ... I hope she still will be alive tomorrow:
I m going over there tomorrow morning at 10 .... I hope to be back home with the foals at 2 p.m....
Spare me your conviction:...I might not change anything to these terrible practices but I will save some lifes and an animal is still worth more to me than some...**
And no, I'm not rich and I can not really afford it ... Something else will have to go, no many things will... I don t want to think about the vetbill of next week when they will need their vaccinations, deworming and other things ... All that comes on top of it. Hopefully, my 15 year old car won t let me in the lurch next year:

I could possibly take 5 colts and I have found a ranchowner who would take the others ... all depends what the conditions and sellingprice will be ...
I will anyways apply the McLaren diagnostic technique and then I' ll know immediately where the foal has a problem whether it s his teeth, back, hips, legs or wherever and then I can give them the appropriate treatment. I hope to see them today or tomorrow, I have apples and carrots for them, a piece of stale bread and then grains, alfalfa and avena ... I m just awaiting a phone call...
I have 3 choices: to buy them at slaughter price (hopefully) or to file an official complaint against the man and therefor have the death of all the foals on my conscience, or do nothing and hope that the foals will be fed
And now I am about to make that flyer for the stores asking them to help me with stale bread, carrots, apples and other stuff.
Do you have any ideas? What else can I ask for ?
I went to department stores like Aldi, Carrefour, Mercadona to ask for their help .... However, All of them sent me away because they are not allowed to give anything but they have to throw everything out in the bin ... I may check the public trash though ....
Well, I will send them an email and lets hope to get a positive answer...
This morning I went to look at a Spanish black stallion for a foreign PNH instructor.
I ended up on a farm where the suffering hit me straight into the face ....
The horses hardly got any food, some had fungus and some had wounds on their bodies and were in a pitiful state... The owner is supposed to have serious financial problems ... I wanted to save some and pending an agreement (as I was not willing to pay the requested 2000 to a man who starves his animals) I asked myself the following question ....Which one do you actually save and how do you determine that? As I stood on their ground and while I was talking to them, there were 2 colts that came to me... so that already tells me something about their character .... but I'm sure there are others who could use my help even more.
How would you choose?
Ow yes, I proposed him to bring them all to my place and to pick them up in a year .... he just laughed at me
Notify animalcare? ...There is only 1 on the Costa here and that one is so overworked that they can do nothing more than treat the current situations.
Make a complaint? No use ... because then they will all be killed the same day ! That's how it goes here... Those are the rules over here ...
Sorry but I am doing the best I can ! but it has all become TOO much for me....My health can't take it anymore...I'm sooooo sorry but the horses come first.
