So the story....:roll::roll:
After Mausies OP the surgeon from JG told me: You must keep her quiet... let her just eat, sleep & rest, eat, sleep & rest, nothing else.
So that' s what I did, I kept her quiet, fed her close to her bed, gave her her medication and torched her and let her rest & sleep... and it all went just fine.
On Sunday afternoon we were expecting a visitor.
At a certain moment I got a message that the visitor was coming 2 hours earlier as expected and would arrive in about 20 minutes.
Well fine by me of course. I quickly got dressed properly and then I heard the other dogs outside barking and in the far I heard the bells of goats ringing.
So I said to myself: If those goats come at my fence when our visitor is arriving, I will not be able to open the gate or the goat's man's dogs will come in or mine will go out...
You see, these dogs are not really social when they meet rhe W.R.R. onces at the fence.
So to be on the safe side I decided to call the rescues home and get them into the house...
Meanwhile Mausie was just lying in her bed resting & sleeping.
Then I opened the front door and called the dogs who came down from the fence one by one.
Meanwhile I turned round on the spot to get them the dogcookies lying on the counter next to the door.
Cheyenne came in, Gipsy came in... and there was Boomer too (he'll do anything for a cookie)
I called once again for Tommy who was just standing in front of the house outside not being sure if he should enter (he prefers to stay outside instead of being locked up in the house).
But he was brave and jumped inside.
As I was holding the door, to close it, Tommy heard something, and in a fraction he turned round and jumped outside again, and in the next second ALL were outside. Yes ALL !!!
All running a 100 miles an hour to the top to the fence at the street.
I yelled at myself, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, please don't, pleasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssseeeeee...noooooooooooooooooo
The dogs had hearded something I was not about the hear for a while, but they knew exactly when a car/bike is driving into the sandy road, even still a mile away.
I knew what was going to happen and was so scared...I could do nothing else then starting to run myself those 100 m up hill towards the dogs and... Mausie.
My knees hurted like crazy and I had no crutches with me... but I knew I had to run and run quick.
And by the time I reached the gate, a car arrived... and stopped in the middle of the road, about 50 m away from the gate.
With the window down and his dog on his knees, my visitor looked straight at me, then at Mausie, then me then Mausie... I saw the white in his eyes... ow my xxx
Without a word I knew exactly what he was thinking... with his eyes almost jumping out of his head, so shocked as he was from seeing Mausie jump and run and go through under Boomer to jump even higher then after.
The dogs felt my energy and stayed away from me.
I opened the automatic gate to let our visitor in with his car.
Eva, how is this possible... HOW CAN THIS BE ?????? he said in Spanish
I' m sure my head was as red as a balloon, and I just was shaking & laughing quitly from shame, to not cry. I asked, no I begged for mercy.
My visitor drove slowly down towards the house and the Whispering Ranch Rescue dogs ran behind him.
I wanted to pick up Mausie on her way down but she started to go the wrong way...
Oh my... the last thing I need is that she will fall 5 meters down going the other way...
So I quickly called Cheyenne back to me and once she saw Cheyenne, she followed her the right way.
But you think she would let me pick her up ? No way ... she fooled me like a footballplayer would with a manoeuver and once past me ran like crazy downhill towards the car of my visitor.
I was completely flabbergasted... what do I say, what can I say ???
My visitor came out of his car, looked at me and said to his dog (sitting in his car): Mouriño, creo que Eva esta engañandonos.
I was shaking and ashamed, but could only keep laughing as I was on the verge of falling to pieces I think.
I tried to explain what happened, but I don 't think he heard me speaking.
He was just to preocupied with Mausie: Has visto como corre ? Como salta ? Has visto... Has visto ?????
Well in fact I had seen nothing as it all happened so quick and the dogs ran sooooo fast I could not follow them.
Anyways he wanted me to pick Mausie up to check her out. So I picked her up once she was inside and put her on the counter and he checked her leg.
Ow yeah... have you now captured who our visitor was on Sunday ???
Archhhhhhh yes the big boss of the vetclinic, the surgeon who operated on her on Friday... archhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I' m dying here and gained at least 10-15 years in about 10 minutes.
