Zoals de meesten onder jullie weten, stond mijn moto te kopen om geld in te zamelen voor de verdere verzorging van de rescue paarden. :wink:
Midden juni werd ik gecontacteerd door een Amerikaan die de moto wilde kopen.
Afgelopen zaterdag zond hij mij bewijs van betaling...en gelukkig had ik vrij snel door dat het om een vals document ging.
Nu PAYPAL mij ook bevestigd dat het document niet van hen afkomstig is kan ik het hier publiek maken:
Een gewaarschuwd mens is er immers 2 waard !
Welke elementen waren tekenen aan de wand ?
* de man beantwoordde nooit mijn vragen (waarom een BMW naar USA exporteren ? wie is je contactpersoon (shipping) ?
* wilde de moto kopen zonder hem te zien, zonder te testen
* ondertekende verkoopscontract niet maar betaalde (zogezegd direct) via Paypal met tijdelijke blokkering van de gelden
*het smsje vanwaar hij me destijds contacteerde was een niet te bereiken nr. Je kon dus niet antwoorden of bellen
Na het ontvangen van de PAYPALbevestiging bleek:
* de "clicking here" knop in de mail werkte niet
* het emailadres service@intl.paypal.com = vehicles-paypal@transfer-intl.com leek me verdacht
* hij betaalde 1300 meer dan afgesproken en daarvan moest ik 1100 doorbetalen aan de shipping dealer, voorschieten dus ...
* verschillende lettertypes in dezelfde brief
* PAYPAL verwittigt mij normaal steeds in het Nederlands of Spaans (ik heb immers een Belgische en Spaanse PAYPALaccount), nooit in het Engels
* het adres van de shippingdealer bleek niet te bestaan (volgens mijn opzoeking via google)
* de "clicking here" knop in de mail werkte niet
* zijn email van 9u30 volgde op mijn email van 9u27....in 3 minuten kon hij nooit zo'n lange email typen...het was dus al een gebruikte email (die hij naar andere mogelijke slachtoffers heeft gestuurd)
Jammer genoeg zijn er nog steeds vele mensen die in deze scam vallen....ik hoop dat ik met dit bericht er misschien 1 van kan behoeden.
Ik voelde al wel bij aanvang dat er hier iets niet klopte (ik belde de eerste dag na contactname als met mijn bank in België om te zien of ze iets wisten van scams die gaande waren via Paypal) maar besloot het spel verder te spelen om te zien tot hoever ze zouden gaan
Aangezien erkend is dat het om een fraudescam gaat, kan ik hier alles zonder gevaar publiceren.
De man zal wel snel een andere naam nemen en opnieuw beginnen maar bon....misschien doet het toch iets goed.
Ik heb zaterdag zelf al aangifte gedaan bij PAYPAL en WESTERN UNION (naar waar ik het geld moest zenden) en hopelijk grijpen die ook in.
De man werkt momenteel onder de naam Bobby Dean David

I have just completed the payment for the (BMW) and you should have received a confirmation email from paypal in regards to the payment. If you could please re-send me the address to where i will send the courier company to pick up the (BMW) so that i can provide them with it. The company that I will be dealing with is CELC (Courier Exchange Logistics Company) I have dealt with them many times before and found them to be very efficient.
As you may have noticed I have made an additional payment on top of all the other charges, the sum of 1,100EURO. This needs to be sent to the courier company which can easily be done through Western Union. This is their requested form of payment when it comes to dealing with international exchanges. Upon receiving the payment they will arrange to pick up the (BMW) within the next 48 hours. They will most probably call you, which reminds me if you could also send me your contact number again i will forward it on to them so they can arrange a convenient pick up time.
The payment will have to be sent in cash which you will need to do, however as you see you will be reimbursed as soon as the funds will clear through paypal.
The amount that I have just transferred to you is on hold through paypal as they need the Western Union receipt to confirm the courier company has been paid. Once they received that then the payment will be cleared into your paypal account. Just to reassure you that he amount has already left my account and simply being held by Paypal until the transaction is completed successfully.

I did ask you expressively to only pay after the contract would have been signed.
I'm sorry but I can't help you with this. I do not have the cash to give to the courier company, I don't even have it in my account. Everything is gone because of the health problems, that's why I have to sell the motorbike. My house is for sale too, so...
You will have to arrange the payment yourself with the courier company, which should not be difficult at all as I have done it in the past too.
Looking forward to your confirmation today that is has been done and that the BMW will be picked up tuesday or wednesday at the latest. It won't leave though unless the money has been paid in full.

As per the PayPal email. You are required to pay the 1,100EURO to the shipping agent through western union from your own pocket and then send the western union information to PayPal for verification. Once they receive the western union from you, the total amount would be released into your account. So you should go ahead with sending the payment and then send the western union details to PayPal for verification,So that you can get your money and we can finalize this transaction... Respond to me soon
The money will only reflect in your account until you reply back to the confirmation email you received from PayPal by sending the MTCN number of the 1,100EURO that is to be send to my pick up agent so that they can come for the pick up..if you have gone through the email you received from PayPal very well regarding the payment i made...you must have been notify about all this so i hope you understand and go ahead and send the 1,100EURO then get back to PayPal with the western union information so that they will release the whole fund into your account without any delay. I will advice you to check your inbox or spam mail of junk am sure you will find the PayPal confirmation email in one of those box.I added their fee to your money because there is no western union in my present location.. Please am sorry for not informing you first You dont have to worry about anything Ok.. I want you to proceed to send the money to the agent just make sure you email the western union information to PayPal as soon as the western union information is receive from you the whole money then be release into your account without any delay...... I hope you are aware that the payment can not be reversed or stop or even split just for the seller security reason.
