Friday was a bad weather day so we went to a shopping mall.
Today, Saturday, we went for a walk by a lake nearby. The weather wasn't all that promosing but we started the walk dry and warm... After a good walk it was pouring... It didn't stop anymorz till we arrived at our car, totally wet... Even our underwear. But we had some good laughs 😂
We hope the next days the weather will be sunny again!!
Monday, 10th of September, we arrived at Malaga. After a ride on a very curved road we arrived at our vacation house. It's a little smaller than the pictures promised but it's nice and clean 😊
Tuesday we went to Torre Del Mar, a lovely beach where you can walk for miles and with a lot of nice places where you can sit down and enjoy the view with a drink/something tot eat...
Yesterday, Wednesday, we visites Ronda. A beautiful old city with historical monuments, for example Puente Nuevo, Plaza de Torros,...
After a 6h drive, a 5.50h flight and another 3.5h drive we got home safly yesterday. We didn't get any sleep on the plane and had to stay awake till the evening for the jetlag... After being awake for 31 hours we went to bed, how nice to sleep in our own beds again 😁
We bought some Canadian gin to enjoy once in a while and as a reminder of our great trip. We absolutely LOVE Canada!!!!!
On our last day we paid a visit to the Niagara falls, we where impressed with this beautiful peace of nature, altough it's a very tourisic place we enjoyed it.
Tomorrow we have a long drive, a long flight and another long drive ahead of us so we will go to bed early tonight, sweet dreams! Next blog will probably be from Belgium and we will take the time to answer to those who found our messages in a bottle 😁
We where on a tight schedule today to visit Toronto and we left the peace and quite behind us... We have to admit it was not our cup of tea, we did 4 cities and this one charmed us the least...
On our drive to Toronto we stopped on a parking and took some pictures of the great trucks, one of the drivers was so kind to show us the inside of his truck and even let us turn the key on, so cool 😎
Tomorrow is our last day and we have planned a visit to Niagara falls.
Instead of exercising our legs we chose a workout for our arms, canoeing 😁 a four our trip on Canoe Lake in Algonquin park. It was a beautiful experience.
Still no moose... So afterwards we did another hike and the closest we got to a moose was it's footprints and a little poopoo... 💩
We drove from Ottawa to Huntsville today, straight through Algonquin park where we made a stop for a small hike and a picknick. Indian summer is really colouring the scenery, it is magnificent!
The rest of the day we took it easy...
On our way we stopped in a gas station and saw the following quote from mother Theresa (the quote in our subject is the city slogan):
During breakfast our host told us about Omega Park, the place to go to see Canadian wildlife. At first we hesitated, but then we flipped a coin, heads was don't and moose was go... It was the moose... So we went. It's a drive trough park, so we sat in the car and drove among the animals. This way we saw a moose today, but we still hope to spot one during our hikes... It kind of feels like cheating.
Woohoo we spotted some deers today during a beautiful walk in 'Parc National du Mont-Tremblant' 🦌
Some peoples were curious about the food here, so we made a picture of every meal today 😋 The breakfast is always included in our accomodations and so far it was really good! The local specialities we haven't tried yet, because we take a picknick with us every time. One of those specialities of Quebec is 'poutines'... It doesn't look really teasty (you should Google it) 😉 but maybe we will try it.
