This sunday, I went to Beach House. Not literally a beach house at the seaside but the American band.

When I arrived, I saw a really sober stage with just one simple table in the middle. This was the scene where Holy Other would perform his support act. Not knowing what to expect, I listened without any prejudice. I was really surprised about his talent, he created dreamy tunes with just a sampler and a few other electronic instruments. Unfortunately this atmosphere was interrupted by a girl who stood behind us and talked the whole time. Around nine o’clock the Ancienne Belgique got full for the main act. In the meantime, the stage got some decoration (a combination of a slatted bed base and a stage propeller). It still was rather sober until one of their last songs, when the curtains full of LEDs behind them, lit up. To me it was a great concert that gave me sweet dreams afterwards, the only thing that I would have done different was that I would have placed seats everywhere because this type of music did not require a lot of action in the concert hall, a fine seat and a cup of tea would be enough.
