What could be more fun than after a long day of strolling around the city and enjoying many of Paris' highlights, to end it in style in one of the many fine restaurants around the city? Needless to say that Paris, as the capital of France, probably houses the best restaurants in the world, the richness and diversity of meals is unseen anywhere else in the world. In the lobby of my last hotel Paris centro I found a brochure which summed up the best adresses. There's the Brasserie Mollard in the 8th arrondissement, the Grand Véfour in the 1st and the Bagatelle in 16th arrondissement. All three of them very, very nice restaurants, I wanted to order just about everything on their menu! Sometimes the hotel Parijs you're staying at, has a restaurant itself, I have had this privilege numerous of times, after a wonderful dinner you only have to take the elevator to go to sleep, marvellous!
There's eating, and then there's drinking. One of the best bars in Paris i've ever been to was the Bound Bar, at the Avenue George V, a stylish place where New York meets Paris. It's a very hip and popular bar which is spiritual home of the city's bon chic bon genre. The young and beautiful, whether they are Parisiens or spend the night in one of the Billige Hotels in Paris come here to enjoy the unique ambience which feels a little exclusive but oh-so right. It almost has become my home away from home, in the very heart of Paris.
