Wrestlemania, Ladders, and the Swanton Bomb March 27, 2007 - Jeff Hardy, ladders, Wrestlemania. This recipe has given WWE fans some of the most breathtaking moments in sports entertainment history. Only thing is, Hardy says you haven't seen anything yet.

He's watched the tapes of Shelton Benjamin, RVD, and the rest of the Money in the Bank crew, and his goal this Sunday for Wrestlemania is to top them all.

IGN Sports: Who were the wrestlers who influenced you as a kid?
Jeff Hardy: Early, when I first started wrestling, I wanted to be a combination of Sting and the Ultimate Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior's craziness and weird personality and Sting's coolness and the way he carried himself to the ring. But then later on, when it came to physicality and athleticism, Shawn Michaels topped the cake. Just watching that guy and seeing the types of matches he's had at Mania and throughout his career, pound-for-pound he's the best wrestler in the world. He has always been a great influence in Matt's and my career. He has a knack for stealing the show.
IGN Sports: Shawn is one of the big matches at Mania, but the one with the most buzz right now has to be the hair vs. hair match. Would you ever put your hair on the line in a match?
Jeff Hardy: Yeah, I probably would I guess I would depending on who it was with and what story surrounded it. If the situation was right, and the money too [laughs] I might take part in it. I really hate my hair when it's not braided because it's so big when it dries. When it's wet it looks cool, but when it dries it gets all in my mouth during a match and I hate it. I wouldn't mind shaving it off. But then I love it when it's braided. It looks cool and it's long and it doesn't get in my mouth. So if the writing is right, I'd be a part of it.
IGN Sports: You seem like the kind of guy who is always looking for something bigger to jump off of. Are you still looking for that big jump or are you starting to slow down?
Jeff Hardy: I think I've slowed down quite a bit. I don't try or attempt even half of the stuff I used to want to try way back in the day when I was a lot younger. It takes a toll on the body throughout the years, but still, The Swanton is something I feel extremely confident and safe in doing. I would still like to do an extremely high one one of these days. It would be great to do at Mania, but I don't think this year because it's not the right type of match, but when I was wrestling in this other organization, I did one that was crazy, it was 34 feet high where I jumped from and I nearly had a heart attack before I did it. I would really love to do something like that in WWE because it would last through time a lot more and a lot more people would see it. When the time is right, I plan on doing an extremely high Swanton Bomb. I always wanted to bring out a hydraulic lift somehow, ride it to the ring like in a Stone Cold type scenario, back it up then jump off of it and go through some tables.
IGN Sports: I couldn't believe you did the Swanton on top of the ladder in your match against Nitro?
Jeff Hardy: Yeah, that was pretty cool but it was also pretty stupid. Wow, I felt it, that's for sure. IGN Sports: You guys are on the road so much and putting your body on the line with every match, how difficult is it for someone to commit their lives to being a professional wrestler?
Jeff Hardy: It's tough. The biggest change is that time just goes by so fast when you're on the road. It seems like it's only been a month or so since I've been back and it's already been more than half a year. I can't complain, though. I'm in a great spot right now and it's up to me to take advantage of it while I can.
IGN Sports: Why did you feel the need to walk away from the sport a couple of years ago?
Jeff Hardy: I was big-time burned out. I needed that year to get away from it for a while and more than anything, that's what straightened my ass up for sure. Just to get away from it for a while and breath a little bit, take it easy. I was able to complete a motocross track at my house, and that's something I've always enjoyed. That time away is really what developed the passion I needed to come back and compete. The fans too, having such a huge fan base, it's hard to see that and be motivated when you have so many people who support you and want to see you perform.
IGN Sports: What's more dangerous, wrestling or riding motocross?
Jeff Hardy: They go hand in hand. Motocross might be more dangerous because it's hard to tame the machine sometimes. Wrestling, you're dealing with yourself and your own body, but when you're trying to tame the machine, that sh*t can be kind of hard sometimes. Those things are strong. It's also so cool to be able to develop the talent to be able to jump and control the motorcycle which is a very fun thing to do but it's hard to manage the two. It's so easy to get hurt, and that's the last thing I want to do. I would be screwed if I got hurt on my motorcycle and couldn't wrestle.
IGN Sports: You're having matches right now both as a singles competitor and as a tag team with your brother. Which do you prefer? Jeff Hardy: I'm all for tagging. I love tag team wrestling and I would choose that over singles any day. It's also cool that we can tag if we need to or we can be successful in the singles ranks, and that's one thing that makes the Hardy Boyz stand alone in their success is that we can go our separate ways and still be successful, but I love tagging with Matt, and I think I prefer tagging over singles wrestling.

Chris Jericho est sans aucun doute l'un des catcheurs les plus doués de sa génération. Son passage à la WCW, avant qu'elle ne soit rachetée par la WWE, lui aura permis de se faire des millions de fans, rejoints peu après par ceux qui l'ont découverts à la WWE. Excellent au micro et tout aussi bon sur le ring, Chris Jericho se paye en plus le luxe d'être le heel le plus dominant de 2008. Et tout ça avec classe.
Matt en Jeff Hardy droomden er al jong van om worstelaars te worden. Ze keken vaak naar worstelen en tegen de tijd dat Jeff 16 was, was hij al op WWF televisie geweest als een jobber. Jeff begon, samen met Matt en vrienden hun eigen federatie, de TWF (Trampoline Wrestling Federation) en deed moves na die hij op TV had gezien. Later kreeg de federatie verschillende andere namen, tot het uiteindelijk werd geïntegreerd in een kermis in North Carolina. Jeff, Matt en hun vrienden gingen werken voor andere onafhankelijke bedrijven. Ze reden de hele Oostkust van de Verenigde Staten af en werkten voor bedrijven zoals de ACW en andere kleine promoties. The Hardyz werden uiteindelijk opgemerkt door de World Wrestling Federation en nadat ze een contract hadden getekend werden ze getraind door de voormalige worstelaar Dory Funk Jr. in zijn Funkin' Dojo met andere opmerkelijke worstelaars zoals Kurt Angle, Christian, Test en A-Train. Voordat ze aankwamen in de WWE vormde Matt zijn eigen worstel promotie OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) met Thomas Simpson. De promotie was een meer succesvolle versie van de oorspronkelijke TWF en had onder andere talenten als Matt, Jeff, Shannon Moore, Gregory Helms, Lita, Joey Matthews, Caprice Coleman en vele anderen. In OMEGA hadden Matt en Jeff elk verschillende karakters. Jeff beeldde onder andere de karakters Willow the Wisp, Iceman, Mean Jimmy Jack Tomkins, Wolverine en The Masked Mountain uit.

In 1998 tekenden Jeff en zijn broer Matt WWF contracten. Toen ze uiteindelijk op WWF televisie gebracht werden vormden ze voor meerdere jaren het acrobatische tag team dat de Hardy Boyz heette.
Jeff staat bekend om zijn risicovolle luchtmanoeuvres, specifiek in TLC matches in het jaar 2000 en 2001 (als the Hardy Boyz) en in 2004 (Jeff Hardy en Rob Van Dam) en maakte naam voor zichzelf als een van de meest roekeloze en onorthodoxe WWF werkers van zijn tijd. Het team van Matt en Jeff won het WWF World Tag Team Championship zeven keer, waardoor ze bekend kwamen te staan als een van de meest succesvolle tag teams in de WWE geschiedenis. In 2000 vonden Matt en Jeff een nieuwe manager in hun real-life vriendin Lita. Samen stonden de drie bekend als "Team Xtreme". In 2001 hield Jeff tegelijkertijd het WWF Intercontinental Championship en het WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.
In 2002 begonnen The Hardy Boyz een feud met Brock Lesnar nadat Lesnar Matt een F-5 had gegeven tegen de stalen toegang, wat er toe leidde dat een boze Jeff wraak wilde nemen op Lesnar. Tijdens Backlash 2002 vocht Jeff tegen Lesnar in zijn eerste uitgezonden match. Lesnar domineerde Hardy en won de match door TKO. Lesnar en de Hardys gingen verder met hun feud in de maanden erna, waarbij Lesnar iedere keer won.
Na jaren in de tag team divisie nam Jeff de kans en vocht tegen The Undertaker in een Ladder Match voor het Undisputed Championship. Jeff wist niet te winnen maar kreeg wel het respect van the Undertaker. Jeff streed meerdere keren voor singles titels, maar was onsuccesvol. Uiteindelijk braken de Hardy Boyz met elkaar en ging Jeff door met zijn singles ambities en ging zijn broer Matt naar SmackDown! en ging Jeff door op RAW. Hierna leek het alsof hij een heel turn zou krijgen nadat hij verschillende superstars aanviel.
Hierna was Jeff nog in een aantal andere angles. Hij vormde een team met Shawn Michaels en toen met Trish Stratus nadat hij haar redde van Steven Richards en Victoria. In zijn laatste match voordat hij ontslagen werd, versloeg Jeff The Rock. Jeff werd ontslagen van de WWE op 22 april2003. De reden voor het ontslag was Jeff zijn slechte gedrag, zijn aftakelende performance in de ring, toenemend drugsgebruik en zijn weigering om naar een afkickkliniek te gaan en het feit dat hij constant te laat kwam of helemaal niet op kwam dagen voor shows.
Hardy vormde een team met A.J. Styles en Ron Killings in het midden van 2004. In oktober 2004 won hij een toernooi en verdiende een kans op het NWA World Heavyweight Championship op 7 november 2004 tijdens TNA Victory Road 2004. Hardy werd opnieuw verslagen door Jarrett in een Ladder Match tijdens Victory Road na inmenging van Kevin Nash en Scott Hall. Een maand later op 5 december 2004 tijdens TNA Turning Point 2004, versloegen Hardy, Styles en Randy Savage Jarrett, Hall en Nash (collectief bekend als de Kings of Wrestling). Hardy versloeg Hall in een single match tijdens TNA Final Resolution 2005 op 16 januari2005.
Tijdens TNA Against All Odds op 13 februari 2005 verloor Hardy tegen Abyss in een "Full Metal Mayhem" match voor het number one contendership tijdens het NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Toch versloeg hij Abyss in een Falls count anywhere match tijdens TNA Destination X 2005 op 13 maart 2005. Hardy raakte toen betrokken in een feud met Raven, waarbij Hardy Raven versloeg in een steel cage match tijdens TNA Lockdown 2005 op 24 april, 2005. Hardy werd daarna op non-actief gesteld door TNA omdat hij niet kwam opdagen bij zijn "Clockwork Orange House of Fun" rematch met Raven tijdens TNA Hard Justice 2005 op 15 mei 2005, volgens hem door problemen met zijn reis.
Hardy's schorsing werd opgeheven op 5 augustus 2005 toen Hardy terugkeerde naar TNA tijdens TNA Sacrifice 2005 op 14 augustus 2005, waarbij hij Jeff Jarrett aanviel. Hij worstelde zijn eerste TNA match in vier maanden tijdens TNA Unbreakable 2005 op 11 september, 2005, waarbij hij verloor tegen Bobby Roode volgend op bemoeienis van Jarrett.
Tijdens oktober 2005 was Hardy betrokken in een feud met Abyss, Rhino en Sabu. De vier mans feud eindigde in een Monster's Ball match tijdens TNA Bound For Glory 2005 op 23 oktober 2005, die werd gewonnen door Rhino. In de loop van de match voerde Jeff een Swanton Bomb uit op Abyss vanaf meer dan 5 meter hoogte. Later die avond nam Hardy deel in een tien-mans battle royal voor het number-one contendership voor het NWA World Heavyweight Championship, die ook werd gewonnen door Rhino. Tijdens TNA Genesis 2005 op 13 november 2005, verloor Hardy tegen "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown in een nieuwe number-one contender match.
Hardy stond opgesteld om te worstelen in de pre-show van TNA Turning Point 2005 op 11 december 2005, maar kwam opnieuw niet opdagen, opnieuw volgens reis problemen. Hardy werd geschorst als een resultaat hiervan en verscheen niet opnieuw op TNA. In maart, april en mei 2006 verscheen Hardy op verschillende house shows die door TNA georganiseerd werden in samenwerking met Dave Hebner en de United Wrestling Federation.
Op 4 augustus2006 maakte de WWE bekend dat Hardy opnieuw had getekend bij het bedrijf. In de weken die daar op volgden werden filmpjes van Jeff Hardy laten zien om zijn terugkeer te promoten. Bij zijn terugkeer versloeg hij de WWE ChampionEdge door diskwalificatie. Nadat hij een aantal maal faalde in zijn pogingen om het Intercontinental Championship af te pakken van Johnny Nitro waaronder tijdens Unforgiven 2006 versloeg Jeff Hardy Nitro eindelijk in een aflevering van RAW op 2 oktober. Op de aflevering van RAW op 6 november verloor hij de titel weer aan Nitro, nadat Nitro hem had geslagen met de titel riem. Hardy won hem terug op 13 november tijdens RAW. Hierdoor werd hij voor de derde keer Intercontinental Champion.
Hardy heeft een grote variatie aan interesses buiten worstelen. Op een bepaald moment heeft Hardy een 7 meter hoog beeld van een "aluminummy" gemaakt van zilverfolie, boven zijn opname studio (een gespoten caravan). Op een ander moment heeft hij een kunstmatige vulkaan gemaakt in zijn voortuin, waar hij oversprong met zijn motorcross bike. Hij is ook een kunstenaar en een dichter.
In 2003 vormde Hardy een band Peroxwhy?gen, samen met worstelaar Shannon Moore en leden van de band Burnside 6. De band heeft twee nummers opgenomen. Een was September Day, een liedje dat Jeff heeft geschreven als reactie op 11 september. Geruchten gaan dat Peroxwhy?gen uit elkaar was gegaan in 2004 kort na het opnemen van de song "Modest", die Hardy later gebruikte als zijn entrance muziek in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Toch werd er op de officiële Peroxwhygen MySpace op 27 april 2006 het volgende bericht gepost in de blog. "Yes we are still together and writing songs. No we are not broken up. JR from the band runs this site." Ondanks dit bericht heeft een beheerder van de "The Matt Hardy Show" website gezegd dat Jeff momenteel aan het werk is aan zijn solo carrière als muziek act en Peroxwhy?gen heeft verlaten.
In mei 2005 vergezelde Jeff zijn broer Matt in een zij project bekend als TheHardyShow.com. Shannon Moore werkt ook mee en thehardyshow.com is een creatieve uitlaat gebruikt door Jeff, Matt en Shannon om hun leven buiten de ring te laten zien. Jeff Hardy's favoriete karakter om te laten zien staat bekend als Itchweeed, een landschapmakende legende van de buitenste regionen van tijd en ruimte, en maakt soms verschijningen in de show.
Hardy verscheen op 7 februari1999 in een aflevering van That '70s Show, getiteld "That Wrestling Show", samen met zijn broer Matt. Hij verscheen als zichzelf in de aflevering van Fear Factor op 25 februari2002 samen met 5 andere WWE kampioenen en werd geëlimineerd in de eerste ronde.

La carrière de Kurt Angle n'impose qu'un mot: respect. Lorsque l'on voit tout ce qu'il a pu accomplir par le passé et qu'on s'attarde sur son niveau technique, on ne peut pas éprouver autre chose. Par contre, si l'on s'attarde un peu sur la psychologie du personnage et les risques qu'il prend malgré ses nombreuses blessures, alors c'est un autre mot qui nous vient à l'esprit: folie.

Après des débuts majoritairement en équipe (avec Christian) et des matchs d'anthologie contre les Hardy Boys, Edge s'est lancé en solo. Et c'est alors une carrière fulgurante et une montée en puissance totalement maîtrisée qui s'est produite. Aujourd'hui, Edge est devenu l'un des heels les plus détestés de la WWE et l'une des superstars les plus "vendeuses".

Be thankful for everything you have, be it your family, school, education, job, partner, anything, because there are people out there that don't have any of the things that you take for granted. Remember how lucky you are.
Jeff Hardy de hoogtes en laagtes van The Extreme Enigma
Nog geen 31, en al meer dan 15 jaar zit Jeff in het professioneel worstelen. Een paar weken voordat zijn contract met de WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) ten einde loopt lijkt het al alsof Jeff al alles heeft overwonnen. Dus zal hij zijn contract nog verlengen of niet? Dat is DE grote vraag. Deze grote held van al een hele generatie lang gaat op dit moment door moeilijke tijden.
