The British prince Harry is immediately withdrawn from Afghanistan after it had been leaked in the press that he was fighting against the Taliban.
Prince Harry, the youngest son of prince Charles and third in line for the British crown, was fighting during ten weeks against the Taliban to the front in Afghanistan. The 23-year-old prince has fought secretely in the Southern province Helmand, where almost all British soldiers quartered in the country, 7,800 in sum, are. He is as a matter of fact still in Afghanistan, without taking part however in fightings.
An agreement had been closed with the British media to keep the mission of the prince in the interest of its security and those of its friends a secret. In exchange for that, a number of journalists had the chance of visiting the prince in Afghanistan. Nevertheless the news has leaked out on an American Internet site and in the Australian media.
The British defence ministry made the prince come home immediately for his security. The British army top examined if the presence of prince Harry in Afghanistan was still needed. The prince admitted he is a top target for the insurrectionists.
On the Internet rages a price battle between Internet sites which sells hotel overnight stays. for example, For one night in hotel Gravensteen in Gent, the prices lie between 85 and 165 Euro for the same standard double room during the same night. That writes Het Nieuwsblad on Sunday.

And also tour operators compete with each other with deals, which they have closed with the hotels. An operator, who appoints many chambers in a certain hotel, could make the rooms cheaper for the tourists. The consumer group advises consumers to search for the cheapest chamber, but warns that the standard rooms from one site are not necessarily just as qualitative as a more expensive room from another site, even if it concerns the same hotel.

The provincial authorities canceled the Photographic Exhibition "Fenomenale Feminatheek" of Louis PaulBoon. Normally it had to go on summer 2008, but deputy Ludo Helsen said that there was no artistic content.The "Feminatheek" has a content of 22.400 pictures with women posing, it are often just pictures from an old paper that the famous author Boon collected. Helsen finds it ,because of the fact that it's a collection of an author, more appropriate to keep the exhibition in a literary museum instead of a photographic museum. Now they decided to keep the exhibition during the lierary festival "Zogezegd" in Gent, so said curator Anne Provoost last Thursday. She also said she wants to do this exhibition to show the people that prudishness is over these days, and that politics shouldn't draw the line. You can go to the exhibition 4 april 2008.
Britney Spears has been dismissed from the psychiatric department of the hospital in los Angeles where she was treated for a week. The Los Angeles Times reported this.
"it is not known where she went after her discharge, but we have learned that she probably went to one of her houses and later she will undergo a new treatment.", reports the newspaper. A Month ago Britney was hospitalized in haste including ambulances, fire carriages and a police force helicopter. First, the police had to come to help with a family conflict concerning Britneys two children. According to sources Spears did not want to cede her two sons (2 and 1 year old) to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The judge had assigned the boys to the provisional protection of Federline. His bodyguard came to pick up the children at Britneys house according to the appointment. When the police force arrived, Spears was under the influence of narcotic substances. They had to carry Britney off wit an ambulance to the Los Angeles hospital. Also the two-year-old son, Jayden James, had to be transmitted to the hospital.
in the meantime the mother, Lynne Spears, suspects Britneys manager and friend Sam Lutfi of doping Britney. She has accused him in front of Court. Meanwhile he has a banning order to stay away from Britney.
It was an important day for Amy Winehouse yesterday, when the grammies were distributed. Her song 'rehab' appeared to be such a great success that she deserved at least five grammies!Amy herself couldn't be there because of a problem with her visum (or a problem with herself?). She won a grammy for best rookie, the best debut album, song of the year, best pop singer and Best song of the year. Winehouse was still in London and was following the show in a studio, when she heard she got the grammy for best song of the year she stared amazed and with her mouth wide open at the screen, then she kissed her mum and thanked everyone. She also said that those grammies were for her husband, her mother and father and Camden Town, which was burning down. Why she said that last thing? I have no idea! Well, our anorexic drug addict won five grammies, but how about her real life? Her mum is afraid that her daughter wouldn't be able to reach the end of this year and Little Amy keeps on drinking and taking drugs. And it appears that she is in rehab now, but for how long? Somehow I can foresee that Amy Winehouse will not last long if she keeps on boozing and I think that a girl named Britney Spears will do the same. Both of them or pathetic girls who have to much mony and spill it on bad stuff...and what's a rehab for them? Nothing more than just a dirty hotel!They go in ,and the next day, after breakfast, they're out! I hope Amy Winehouse will grow up fast and realise that she's wasting her life...but probably, while i'm writing this, she'll be drinking scotch with her five grammies in front of her.
