Na mijn afwezigheid moet ik natuurlijk redelijk veel inhalen ...

Wel, de internetveiling van het bushokje is massaal geflopt:

Internetveiling geflopt!

Een internetveiling in Tokio Hotel zanger Bill Kaulitz' woonplaats Loitsche in Sachsen-Anhalt wilde maar niet van de grond loskomen.

De gemeente wilde aan een bushokje geld verdienen. Op het huisje zijn in de loop der tijd talrijke Tokio-Hotel-fans vereeuwigd. Waarom? Omdat de oorspronkelijke halteplaats zich direct in de buurt van het huis van Bill Kaulitz en zijn broer Tom bevindt.

De benodigde prijs van een hoogte van € 14.600,- wilde uiteindelijk niemand betalen, en dat terwijl gisteren aan het einde van de de veiling bleek dat maarliefst 30.000 mensen het ding hebben bekeken. Of het hierbij alleen om fans van Tokio Hotel gaat, is nog niet duidelijk.

De initiatiefnemers uit Loitsche willen nu het bushokje in stukken zagen en deze voor een vanafprijs van € 1,99 verkopen. Zo hoopt men, dat meer Tokio Hotel fans er op afkomen en een stukje van de provincie een goed huis willen geven.

Bill's hersenpan kookt over van de ideëen: het zal echt rocken!

Kreisch! Niets feesten aan de zee: Tokio Hotel sluiten zichzelf na de US-Tour in de studio op, om aan hun nieuwe album te werken dat begin 2009 in de verkoop zal gaan en nog rockiger wordt!

Voor de Maagdeburgse jongens blijft er geen tijd meer over om uit te rusten. Tijdens de US-tour brengen ze op dit moment de Amerikaanse kids zelfs aan het krijsen. En na de MTV-Awards-uitreiking in Los Angeles in September, waar ze naast Britney Spears voor de beste Video en als beste Newcomer genomineerd zijn, gaan ze gelijk naar huis en de studio.

Materiaal voor het derde TH-album is er in ieder geval genoeg.

"Bill komt al maandenlang continu met nieuwe song-ideetjes naar mij toe," zegt de manager David Jost. "Elke vrije minuut gebruiken ze om nieuwe liedjes te schrijver."

De band Tokio Hotel heeft zich voorgenomen dat het album harder als diens voorgangers moet worden.

"Wederom nemen we het album in het Duits en in het Engels op," zegt Jost.

De Duitse versie zal ergens tussen januari en maart komend jaar verschijnen, iets later verschijnt de Engelse variant in de US. Jost: "Op dat album zullen ook een aantal Duitse nummers staan."

Met de kerst moet het album klaar zijn en vanaf dan kunnen Tokio Hotel van een vakantie genieten.

Jost: "Waarschijnlijk gaan ze weer naar een of ander klein eilandje."

De laatste vakantie brachten Tokio Hotel de tijd door op de Malediven.

The Truth About the Rumours

Tom was stopped by the police (True)
Ever since Tom got his dream car - a black Cadillac Escalade, he uses every opportunity to drive it. But too bad that his beautiful car stands out too much and caught the eyes of the German police. Tom was stopped during the operation called "No drugs and alcohol for drivers" executed by the police around Hamburg. After making sure that Tom was innocent and all his documents were in order, the police let him go.

The Kaulitz twins won the jack-pot (true)
According to the contract with Universal, Tom and Bill Kauiltz were not allowed to be in charge of their income before coming of age. After turning eighteen on September 1, the twins are in total control of their earnings, which are said to be a few million euros. Hi everyone!
Today we had a day off in Chicago and it was gorgeous. But let’s start from the beginning – at the Detroit show and the Oakland signing session at Hot Topic. Well, the show in Detroit was awesome since the venue there was really beautiful and the fans were just incredible…we couldn’t ask for anything better!

The day after the show we departed on our tour bus for Oakland where we met our fans in one of the Hot Topic stores in a mall. The employees at the store were at least as astounded as we at how many fans came out to the signing – it was huge!
To me these signing sessions are always something very special because we get to meet the fans face-to-face and hear so many of their stories, they tell us what moves them and also share their feelings. This is truly inspirational and I get so many ideas for our new songs from that – thanks so much for all of that!

After the in-store we headed towards Chicago. Georg and Tom talked pretty much the whole way about the fans…like who was the sweetest girl or whose number they’d love to have – such dreamers they are sometimes! A highlight on the drive to Chicago was a stop at one of the supermarkets! The bus dropped us right in front of the entrance and I have to tell you: I love these gigantic supermarkets – they just have everything you want, including my favourite sweets, all the fruit you can dream of and even birdhouses – seriously, they carry birdhouses… crazy! On top of that they didn’t even have a cashier – all I bought I had to scan myself at a station where I also had to pay…but you’ll get all the inside scoop about this little supermarket adventure on Tokio Hotel TV soon!

Shortly thereafter we finally arrived in Chicago where we had a day off! As usual we slept in really late but I also wanted to explore the city, which is why we got up particularly early - at 3pm. Gustav had already gone out long before and Georg refused to get up so I had to bug Tom until he finally said he would join me to check out the city! Downtown Chicago was gorgeous – the sun was shining and it had this summer flair that put everyone in a great mood! Chicago as a city seems just perfect – it was a mix of these huge buildings like you see in NYC and the summer flair you experience in L.A., which is basically a perfect mix! Tom and I grabbed a coffee and pretty much explored the city for the rest of the day – Tom was like a tourist the whole time since he took pictures of everything. At the end of the day we visited a cool restaurant on the beach and enjoyed the sunset while having dinner…absolutely WICKED day!!!

Welcome back to “The 10” Hit list with the biggest Teen Stars! And the sentence that I have heard in the last week was “Ahh, teenie stars, so that would be Tokio Hotel and so...”
But somehow they are all right! They are teens, and they are the teen idols, and at the moment they are our biggest exports, and with that, going to spot #3.

The coolest band in the teen league that we ever had in Germany

There are these brothers, the singer Bill, (he said that in a female way, calling Bill a she) and Tom the guitar player (called him in a she way as well) then there is Gustav, plays I believe the drums or the bass, and then there is another one, whose name I just can’t remember right now...

Then the TV announcer talks:
GEORG is the 4th one called...together are the guys from Magdeburg one of the most popular bands from last year.

A young band, that was like back in the day, sounded like they were from a basement, not something that was predictably put together, but it sounded more edgy than anyone else...

And that’s what I think is great! They have never tried to be like somebody else, Tokio Hotel never copied anyone. They have found themselves.

And that at a young age of 12, that’s how young the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz were, when they were practising in their east town on Germany , and were working on their big hits.

Even in NY, the Tokio Hotel fever has stuck. For their 1st live performance, the American teens camped outside for days, for a band that they only knew from the internet. Massive hysteria in the middle of Manhattan.

For us its really weird, to see ourselves in Time Square, and that we are actually here, and sometimes it’s a little scary, because we cannot believe that its actually us, because just a little over 3 and a half years ago we were still in Magdeburg and were there in front of the stage...

I totally grant them the success; they make great music and have great performances.

To be able to be this successful throughout all the years, and to be at that young age, I have the most respect for it, and I think it’s really good.

Even though, it’s become a little quiet when it comes to them right now, I really don’t know why...

It is not that Disney have returned anarchist, alone that for the first time they have various representatives of the channel in the VMA 2008 (that this year they will be transmitted from Hollywood) their maximum representative:  Miley Cyrus in "Better New Artist", taken into account by the popular series on a worldwide basis 'Hannah Montana', millions of disks sold and the video but order at present in MTV:  '7 Things'. 

It is of the favorite to win the astronaut in that category and their main competence is the band Tokyo Hotel, that represents to the community Emo on a worldwide basis, they are them applauded to obtain the victory in this shortlist, and not alone in this, also they are nominated in:  'Better Pop Video' and almost, almost in 'Female Video' by the look of the singer but themselves not achievement, not lie.  The fact is that these VMA will be very pop ¡thanks to God!  Since the last they were a lot of bling bling, doggies in miniskirt, black singing him to another black one murdered and MTV was losing its pop culture. 

In this not alone year returns Britney Spears, but also they will yield tribute to Madonna by its first 50 years, they been present High School Musical, the Jonás Brothers and many but adolescent stars that will put a fresh sound that already so much needs this celebration.  Including also to stars of reality of the channel VH1 and the Hills, ¡That good that no longer but Paris Hilton and Lindsay!  Already religious picture cards seemed. 

Good, it win who win, Miley or Tokyo, this prize will serve of a lot, therefore aside from being a recognition, the music and the channel MTV on a worldwide basis took them but enserio, in the case of Cyrus, would be able to arrive to be become the new star pop on a worldwide basis and in the case of Tokyo Hotel to cause to be worth but their songs and the style of their band, that it they take not As a fashion but.

Welcome everyone to “Tom’s blog”!

Yes, we are finally back on tour! We are travelling from city to city on our bus, meeting so many of our awesome fans and have had some wicked shows so far. Since it’s our first real tour in the States and Canada there has seriously been a lot in store for us. So far we visited New York, New Jersey, Montreal and Cleveland. Let me tell you, each of the shows we played so far has been really special in it’s own way. And we are sooo excited to be nominated at the MTV VMAs for “Best Pop Video” and “Best New Artist” thanks to all our fans!

The kick off for our concert run in New Jersey went surprisingly well, which worries me a little. Usually during the first show something goes wrong but this time everything was so smooth! Well, obviously Georg missed some notes but that happens all the time (lol!).

On our way to Montreal it looked like our smooth run would come to an end…we had to wait at the Canadian border for ages since there was a Greyhound bus ahead of us and the officers searched every little bit of it – they even checked all the clothes the people brought with them in their suitcases. Luckily when it was our turn, the officers took it easy – they let us pass without taking our bus apart. Security checks and border controls are definitely not my thing… I just don’t have the very best experience with them!

In Montreal (to be precise, in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu) we performed at an awesome festival with about twenty thousand people. The weather was great and throughout the whole day all kinds of different hot-air balloons rose to the sky. The coolest one of them looked like the head of Darth Vader and I would have loved to be on board that one! But we stayed on the ground and performed a show, which was great – all the fans sang along to each of the songs with us…just amazing!

After the show we had a quick stopover at the hotel where we took a shower (yes, Georg did too) and then it was time to get on the tour bus to travel overnight to Cleveland. On the bus we played video games. We played a guitar playing challenge and obviously I beat all the other guys – what a surprise!

After that I went to sleep and woke up the next day in Cleveland where it was really sunny…at least in the morning. Pretty much the rest of the day it rained so we spent most of the day (it was an off day) watching DVDs. Gustav also had a little excursion to Lake Erie and when he came back he was soaking wet - not because he jumped in the lake but because it started to rain so hard!

Let me tell you guys, it’s pretty exciting to be on tour in North America – so many new things to explore. It’s great to be here and I’m looking forward to seeing YOU at one of the concerts soon.

Thanks for all your support at all the concerts so far and also at the MTV VMAs where you all made it possible for us to be nominated TWICE….that’s just unbelievable. Please keep on voting for us as “Best New Artist”

dan zat ik vanavond in Keulen (en morgen erbij).

Ik lees hier al dat Tokio Hotel het op de VMA zal moeten doen met twee nominaties:
namelijk Best Pop Video en Best New Artist.
Jammer genoeg haalden ze Best Rock Video en Video Of The Year niet.

-Nu, geen enkele Duiste band/artiest behaalde ooit twee nominaties op de VMA's-
