After 16 cancelled concerts all over the Europe, because of vocal cord problems frontman Bill Kaulitz had, and more than a month of brake, Tokio Hotel, the greatest German stars in the last 20 years, came back to the scene. It happened in the USA where their first album for North America was put on sale on May 6th.

Kids from the rock band Tokio Hotel, whose oldest band member is 21, have already conquered Europe and now they are also planning to conquer "the land of possibilities", where are thousand teenage girls, but also older members of the female gender already fainting for every move they make.

Singer Bill Kaulitz, his twin brother Tom who plays guitar, bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Schäfer have appeared for the first time on American TV on Wednesday, May 7th in a Mtv show TRL. And the hysteria their performance caused is best described with a comment on website buzzworthy.mtv.com (where you can also listen how do the boys sound live): "Where they were met with more hysteria than Elvis and John Lennon, had they both risen from the dead and played a spontaneous acoustic set with Jesus"

As pretty singer of Tokio Hotel stayed without a voice in the middle of the concert in Marseille on March 14th, numerous fans all over the world have, with fear, received the news that he has to go under the vocal cords surgery because he got a cyst discovered, that arised because of stress and not enough trained voice. The cyst was removed successfully, but Bill wasn't allowed to say a word for ten day after the surgery. But as soon as he came back to normal, the boys decided to catch up with all cancelled concerts, so we are going to see tokios on the festivals all over the Europe during June and July, after they do four performances in the USA and Canada.

Los Angeles – Germany’s most successful rock band Tokio Hotel are still on promotion tour through the USA, promoting their english language Album “Scream”. On the weekend, after performing in a TV show in New York they flew to Los Angeles, where they will give a concert tonight. BILD talked to the twins Bill(18) and Tom(18) Kaulitz about their success in America.

BILD: You’ve just arrived to Los Angeles. What is the difference for you between LA and New York?

Bill: For me these are two entirely different worlds. New York is much more European. LA in more like what a European imagines Amerika.

BILD: Tomorrow you’ll play your first complete concert after Bill’s surgery in Hollywood. Are you nervous?

Bill: Yes, of course, shit, we’re going berserk with excitement. Additionally it’s the only US-concert. We’re usually nervous, but this time it’s even worse.

BILD: Wie fühlt Ihr euch jetzt, nachdem Ihr auch in den USA so erfolgreich seid?

Tom: Wir freuen uns total über die grossen Fanresonanzen hier in den USA, aber ich sehe das Ganze trotzdem eher als einen ersten Achtungserfolg an.

BILD: How do you feel now, that you’re also successful in the USA?

Tom: We’re totally happy about the great fan resonance here in the USA, but I still see this whole thing more as a success of esteem(quote from leo: something (as a work of art) that wins critical respect but not popular success)

BILD: You call that success of esteem? You’re not that modest normally.

Tom: don’t worry, when we talk about girls next time again, I’ll be un-modest again for sure. (laughs) No, seriously: I think, that the really big success in the USA will arrive with entirely new and worldwide unpublished songs. Our goal is to publish our third album at the same time worldwide.

Bill: But we are still of course very happy and thankful for what is happening in the USA right now. We didn’t expect that a few moths ago. We just don’t want to overrate the US-success so far.

Op deze dag zullen Tokio Hotel weer op het podium staan. De band heeft het concert in het Atlantic Pavilion moeten afzeggen, maar het optreden bij Rock in Rio gaat in ieder geval wel door. Het kwartet belooft een nacht vol rock en hysterie!

Hoewel de band nu overal ter wereld sucessen boekt, had zij het vroeger toch niet bepaald makkelijk. Gustav en Georg legden het aan met de Kaulitz twins, maar voordat de eerste plaat uitgebracht kon worden, maakte Sony het contract ongeldig.

Pas drie jaar geleden zag Universal Music wat in hen. Dat was precies op tijd, want alle nummers werden stuk voor stuk hits. "Monsoon", "Ready, Set, Go!" en "1000 Oceans" zullen dus zeker wel worden gespeeld!

Nog een tip van de sluier: het eerstvolgende concert is nog niet eens opgevoerd of de band heeft al toegezegd om op 29 juni in het  Atlantic Pavilion te performen!

35. Laugh when Stressed-Out-Bill-Who-Cannot-Find-Hairspray throws a fit. Ask if he wants some vanilla tea.
36. Plant a badly written Bill/Tom NC-17 innocent brotherly love fanfic on Bill’s bedside table. Make sure Tom finds it.
37. Walk in on Tom confronting Bill about the fic. Insist you do some ‘drama exercises’ to solve the situation and get rid of the tension. Ask Bill to read the fic out loud.
38. Volunteer to accompany him to shop for the costume party. Dress up as an FBI agent. Tackle him into a bush, insist he stays put while you scout the area for rabid fangirls.
39. He’s having troubles choosing between a Vampire outfit and a Phantom of the Opera outfit. Ask him what was wrong with the Zebra.
40. Bill still hasn’t decided on an outfit when Tom calls you asking for advise on what he should wear to the party. Suggest he gets a suit and dresses up as
!Sexy Hans Gruber from Die Hard. Then hung up, turn to Bill and exclaim: I’ve got it! You’d be perfect as a !Sexy Play Boy Bunny!
41. Burst out laughing while listening to Monsoon. When he asks what you are laughing at, answer with the most British accent you can manage and tell him that you think his pronunciation of ‘storm’ is really funny

New York - Mega-succes in New York!

De Amerikaanse fans eerden de vier Duitse rocksterren op het beroemde "Times Square" nadat zij twee omjubelde concerten hadden gespeeld.

Enkele fans hebben zelfs twee dagen van tevoren op "Time Square" gecampeerd, zodat ze bij het optreden in de gigangtische muziekwinkel "Virgin Store" vooraan konden staan.

Tokio Hotel-zanger Bill tegen Bild: "Ik had gedacht, dat de fans ons de vele afgezegde concerten kwalijk zouden nemen en ik had echt niet verwacht dat er zoveel van hen vandaag zouden komen!"

Eindelijk kan hij weer zowel spreken als zingen, die Bill (18). En als ik alles eens goed opneem, dan zijn de groupies van Tokio Hotel BILLiger en gewilliger dan voor de operatie...

Een goede reclamestunt zo tussendoor voor de teenieband. New York is gek op de vier sterren uit Duitsland. Eerst het uitverkochte concert in "Giants Stadium" op zondagavond en dan de release van het nieuwe album "Scream" dat direct in de USA-i-Tunes-charts naar plaatsje nr. 13 schoot, een kort live-optreden bij MTV's TRL en gisteren de handtekeningenronde in de "Virgin Mega Store" waarbij troosteloze verliefde meisjes tot om het cityblok in de rij stonden in hun Converse-gympies en strakke jeans terwijl ze hun buik onder korte shirtjes probeerden te verbergen.

Ongelofelijk, het moet aanvoelen als een comeback na 29 jaar. Tokio Hotel zelf zijn verrast, heeft de manager en producer David Jost mij verteld. Die is er natuurlijk blij mee dat die Amerikaanse fans elk nummer in het Engels én het Duits in zijn geheel kunnen mee zingen.

Niets anders kan dan geconcludeerd worden dan dat de stembandoperatie nog geen problemen heeft opgeleverd. Daarom ben ik ook blij voor de jongens.

Een privéleven zit er niet meer in, dan toch maar al die waanzin...

"Kijk! Het beste concert en dat allemaal dankzij Tom. Nu kan je dat ook eens goed zien, haha!"

Bill met zijn 'ik ben dé hunk' award.

"Ik ben zo blij met de grootste hunk!"

Tom:
"Hmm...ik vind die het minst leuk. Die award had er beter uitgezien als in plaats van jij ik erop had gestaan."
Bill:
"Het enige is dat ik hunk een vreemd woord vind. Het lijkt op het Duitse woord honk en dat betekent nerd."

"Haha, bovenaan staat 'gekozen', dat laatste hebben we dan als kotsen uitgesproken!"

Wat vinden Bill en Tom over zichzelf, de Olsentweeling én Tokio Hotel? Zij verklappen het zelf! -nu verwachte ik dus een kei lang artikel-
Een babbel met Tom en Bill van Tokio Hotel is niet zo makkelijk nu Bill zo veel mogelijk moet zwijgen. Terwijl Tom onmiddelijk reageert, zoekt Bill eerst pen en papier om zijn antwoorden neer te schrijven. -die periode is al lang voorbij, ze zijn zelfs weer toe aan optreden...-

Of het meisje dat hij bijan zoent zijn nieuwe vriendin is, houdt de 'Tokio Hotel' ster nog even geheim. Openhartiger is de TH-er Tom over zijn nieuwste tattoo: -tiens, wist eerlijk gezegt niet dat hij er eentje had (sarcasme)- grote vleugels en een zwaard op zijn schouderbladen. Deze grote tattoo is de tweede lichaamsversiering van Tom -dus nu heeft die er al ineens twee?!- Eerder liet hij zijn rechteronderarm al tatoeëren. -Hallo? schrap die "Tom" maar en zet er in de plaats Gustav! Dit bewijst weer de echtheid van het artikel...-

Hi guys, it’s Bill!
I’m so glad to be back...you can’t imagine how good this feels! We’re in NYC at the moment, we arrived here Friday afternoon. The next morning we had to get up at 5 am which was kind of tough, but being here makes up for all these little hassles…it’s terrific being in the States!
Saturday we performed at the Bamboozle Festival which was tons of fun - being back on stage was such a big relief for me! Sunday was our day off so we slept in for a really long time. After Tom and I got up we went out to grab some coffee and in the afternoon we took the chance to cruise through some New York bars ! Our next seven days will be packed with promotion and performances in New York. Stay tuned and I’ll let you know next Monday how everything went! Take care and I’ll talk to you soon.

We like to think of ourselves as a mini United Nations here, so we were delighted when the nice young Germans of Tokio Hotel stopped by the office today, hair and all.

We were pretty shocked Tom would make the undiplomatic move of wearing a Red Sox hat here in Yankee town [Ed: WTF??], but the be-dreaded guitarist assured me he was “so pretty” people can’t really get mad at him. Sorry, Tom, they so can. Fortunately for him, there’s usually a pack of screaming 14-year-old girls (and one burly bodyguard) surrounding you at all times.

Anyway, the band’s English language album Scream drops here tomorrow — it’s already out in Europe, which is why so many shrieking American tweens have all the lyrics memorized. Anime porcupine/frontboy Bill said it was pretty weird recording songs in English that he was used to singing in German. His favorite track to do live off the album is title song, while twin Tom favors “Read, Set, Go!” But don’t worry — they agree on, like, everything else!

Bij het "Bamboozle Festival" in New York traden "Tokio Hotel" voor de eerste keer na Bills stemband-OP weer op.

Tokio-Bill Schreit weer!

"Schrei! Bis du du selbst bist" is een van de nummers van Tokio Hotel.

Bill (18) is weer zichzelf en kan eindelijk weer schreeuwen. Op zaterdagavond, 34 dagen na zijn stembandoperatie, staat hij weer op het podium en wel tijdens het "Bamboozle Festival" in Amerika (USA).

"De laatste weken na de operatie leken wel een eeuwigheid voor Bill. Het was dan ook een geschenk uit de hemel dat hij eindelijk weer op de bühne kan staan," zo bandmanager David Jost tegenover B.Z. "Bill heeft de harten van de New Yorkers weten te veroveren."

Dat laatste gaat vooral op voor de vrouwelijke fans. Trots tonen zij in fora foto's van hun onderarmen 'bekleed' met handtekeningen. Enkelen leren zelfs Duits, zodat ze de nummers van de vier "Tokio Hotel"-boys kunnen meezingen.

Maar nee, dat was niet eens nodig, want ditmaal speelden Bill, Tom, Gustav en Georg slechts Engelstalige nummers (1. "Ready set go – Übers Ende der Welt", 2. "Break away – Ich brech aus", 3. "Monsoon"). Zo'n 4.000 fans konden de songs zonder problemen meezingen terwijl de Tokio Hotel CD nog niet eens in Amerika in de verkoop is gegaan!

Een mega-succes voor de vier boys, die op 13 juni eindelijk weer in Duitsland zullen optreden. Het concert zal plaatsvinden in de uitverkochte Dortmundse Westfalenhalle. Voor schreiende Fans - die dan ook weer zichzelf kunnen zijn...

Tokio Hotel: Bill Kaulitz - Voor de Amis zingt hij weer!

Vier weken lang mocht zanger Bill Kaulitz geen woord spreken, Tokio Hotel kon geen concerten meer geven, de tour moest worden afgezegd... Maar nu vieren de jonge Magdeburger hun mini-comeback tijdens een Festival in New Jersey. Maar voor zij konden optreden, stond Snoop Dogg nog op het podium...

Een cyste moest van Bill's linkerstemband worden verwijderd, na de operatie werd hem het zwijgen opgelegd en tot slot moest hij zijn stem weer in vorm zien te krijgen door die te trainen.

Een maand zonder Bill! Voor de fans van Tokio Hotel veranderde de situatie in een ware nachtmerrie.

"Ik dacht: O God! Hopelijk neemt niemand mij dit kwalijk," zegt Bill over de situatie. "En hopelijk is niemand boos."

Talrijke Anti-fans van de band ervaarden deze tijd als en vakantie voor de horen. Tokio Hotel polariseert namelijk als geen enkele andere band...

Maar zaterdagavond was het weer zo ver! De geboren Magdeburger staat samen met zijn drie bandmembers - tweelingbroer Tom Kaulitz (18), Gustav Schäfer (19) en Georg Listing (21) - in New Jersey op het podium. En dat bij hét "Bamboozle Festival", het eerste optreden na de operatie.

Omdat Bill's stem nog niet geheel uit het helingsproces is, konden Tokio Hotel slechts 3 nummers performen.

"4.000 Fans stonden voor het podium en konden alle nummers zó meezingen!" zegt bandmanager David Jost, en dat terwijl het US-Album nog niet eens in de verkoop is gegaan. "Bill was nogal ongeduldig en snel op zijn teentjes getrapt voor het optreden, maar toen hij eenmaal op de bühne stond was hij de nervoziteit zo kwijt," aldus Jost over het eerste concert na de OP.

Bij dit festival in New Jersey hebben in het verleden grote namen als de Rolling Stones, Prince en Nirvana opgetreden. Vlak voordat de Magdeburger erop mochten, was de Amerikaanse rapper Snoop Dogg nog aan het performen -een volbloedmuzikant, die de Duitse nieuwelingen vast even vreemd heeft aangekeken. Toch moet het kwartet daar snel aan wennen aangezien ze aanstaande donderdag tijdens de Late Night Show van Conan O'Brien zullen optreden en daar dus ook op enkele veelbetekenende blikken kunnen rekenen.

Na dat publieke optreden volgt nog een concert op 13 mei. Dit zal het enige concert in de USA zijn en het zal plaatsvinden in de "Avalon" in Hollywood.

"Bill heeft de harten van de New Yorkers veroverd," meent manager Jost.   
Al in februari van dit jaar stonden Tokio Hotel in New York op het podium. De "New York Times" publiceerde in hun online-versie een coververhaal en een filmpje over de band! Daardoor ziet men nu in Amerika overal op plakkaten eenduidige liefdesaanbiedingen opduiken en hoort men zinnetjes als: "Wir lieben Tokio Hotel!"

Het maakt niet uit waar de band komt, ze laten de fans in wantoestand achter...

New York- Eindelijk staat hij weer op het podium!

Ruim vijf weken na zijn stembandoperatie staat rockstar Bill Kaulitz (18) met zijn band "Tokio Hotel" voor het eerst weer voor een publiek.

Samen met de boys zong hij tijdens een Open-Air-Festival bij het bekende "Giants Stadium" in New York (USA) drie hits in het Engels voor ruim 4000 Fans . Bill stem was nog nooit zo sterk en vol energie!

Manager en producent David Jost: "Bill was behoorlijk nerveus en kon er niet op wachten, zich op de bühne te begeven."

Bill voegde na het optreden er aan toe: "Het was een ware bevrijding om na zo'n lange tijd weer in de microfoon te zingen."

De komende week racen Tokio Hotel van hot naar her, van termijn naar termijn in New York en ze zullen daarnaast door Amerikaanse media worden geïnterviewd. Volgende week gaat de cd "Scream" in de USA in de verkoop.

Wel, voor ik (opnieuw) op zoek ga naar foto's van het Bamboozle Festival wil ik jullie nog wel iets anders laten zien:
Fans die geregeld youtube afzoeken naar dingen over Tokio Hotel herinneren zich dit vast wel
(het is al een iets ouder "dingetje" van vorig jaar ergens) :



-ik dacht nochtans dat er ook eentje was met Engelse ondertiteling, maar die vind ik niet meer-

Wel het gaat dus over het feit dat Tom en Bill Kaulitz "betrapt" waren op een porno Party.
Zij zeggen gewoon dat ze daar toevallog een vergadering hadden.
Tom geeft wel toe dat hij gekeken heeft

maar Bill beweert hier dat hij maar in een hoekje zat en er niets van vond...

MAAR, mogen we Bill wel op zijn woord geloven ?
Want in zijn "profiel" zegt hij zelf dat hij nogal vaak liegt ...

Vanacht was het zover...
Om 23.20 keek ik naar de klok en wenste in mezelf Tom, Bill, Georg en Gustav nog veel succes en plezier.
En zoals ik nu al gezien heb, hebben ze er een goei lap op gegeven!
Ik ben op zoek gegaan naar duidelijke filmpjes en foto's.

Er staan er nog, maar daar krijg je gewoon hoofdpijn van of een gevoel van zeeziekte of gewoon beiden.

Een groep van dertig onbekenden heeft de bekende bushalte voor het huis van Bill en Tom Kaulitz vernietigd!

Dat was de plaats waar de broertjes vroeger op hun bus wachtten. Later werd deze halt zo wat een pelgrimsplaats voor fans. De politie probeert de daders te vatten.

What advice would you give for people who get judged a lot by how they dress? What exactly do you say to people who don’t like you for who you are?

Bill: Tom and me always used to be different, so we are very experienced and used to people who didn’t like us cause of it. Tom: No, I don’t think it’s the last concert in France. On our third European tour we played twice in Paris, then in Dijon, Montpellier and Marseille. After Parc des Prince on June 6th we play an Open Air in Monaco at Le Port which will be on July 7th. That are the set dates so far!

Nu het me eindelijk gelukt is om filmpjes te plaatsen, zal de blog er natuurlijk veel leuker uitzien!
-Naast het foefelen met de filmpjes, heb ik ook weer andere zaken ontdekt-
Er zal nu niet meer zo een warboel van links ontstaan en dat is een hele opluchting.

Vermits ik vandaag nog een hele dag heb, vind ik het niet erg om het bericht van vanmorgen te herwerken ... Deze keer krijg je het filmpje erbij!

Laat ik er maar eens aan beginnen.

Als een mens niets anders te doen heeft dan vroeg opstaan, dan gaat ie maar nieuws zoeken op het internet van Tokio Hotel.
Het bleek geen verloren tijd te zijn! Want kijk wat deze mens gevonden heeft...




Bild.de doet de laatste tijd enorm moeite om ons nieuws te geven over Tokio Hotel

"Hij klonk wel grappig en ook een beetje vreemd, maar na een paar dagen was dat gevoel voorbij." Zal hij dan nu zonder angst kunnen zingen? Bill: "Ik zal deze ervaring niet vergeten en ik zal niet geheel zonder zorgen kunnen optreden. Maar ja, ik heb het gewoon overleefd en ik hoop, dat het niet nog een keer gebeurd."

Tom: Yes, of course. We are all from a little place called Magdeburg.

The-Forgotten.: Where You Been Friends Before You Formed The Band?
Georg: Gustav and I met at music school and we became friends before we met Tom and Bill after one of their performances. That's seven years ago and we all became really close friends.

lollipopthe: How did you guys get discovered?
Bill: We really put all our time and energy in our music. We sent tapes to record labels and Mtv, we made our own CD and sold it, we played as often and as much as we could. And then, finally one night, a producer saw us performing in a club!

:Michael,: What inspired you to choose the name: "TokioHotel"?
Tom: We used to have another band name. But after we met our producer and we started working in the studio we wanted another name – one that fit us better. We all like big cities, plus it really sounds cool. Also we were looking for a symbol that would represent our live as musicians – we pictured us staying most of the time in hotels, which became true. Here you go: Tokio Hotel.

.:Dragon16:.: How old are you?
Bill: Tom and I will turn 19 in September, Gustav will turn 20 and Georg just turned 21 in March.

btm=12: Who is your idol?
Tom: We never really had idols. We always wanted to do our own stuff, create our own style. Also we never could agree on ONE band or artist cause we have such a different taste in music.

Foxigirl: Do you have any pets?
Gustav: We all have a dog and a cat.

:CutiePatutie:: Why is your new album called Scream?
Bill: Well, it's the title of our first German album. The English version is a mix of our favorite songs from the first and second album. Scream is def. one of them. And we love it's message. The song is about standing up for yourself, speaking your mind and express yourself no matter what other people might say!

Elmo!,: I love the song Ready Set Go. But What Is It Really About?
Bill: It's about going for you dreams, leaving everything behind you to start something new. It's about tearing down walls and not being caught in life and rules.

Sxiandbad!: Do you prefer singing and recording songs in English or German?
Bill: By now the English songs feel like the German ones. But when it comes to writing I will always write in German and the songs will be then translated into English. German is my native language and it helps me express myself the best.

MattInc: What's it like being on the road 24/7?
Tom: We love if. Of course you don't get to see your friends and family very often but you get to see so much. It's über-exciting and what we always wanted.

!.NeWYorK122.!: Do you all get along or do you get in fights sometimes?
Tom: We are friends but of course we do fight as well. Even me and Bill.
Georg (laughing): Yeah, and you don't want to be involved...

Bill: I always wanted become a singer and the others wanted to become musicians. That's why we started so early.

Bill: With a lot of hairspray ;)

Tokio Hotel is hot

De Duitse poprockband reist de hele wereld over en wordt overal opgewacht door smachtende tienermeisjes die soms al dagen voor het optreden in een slaapzak voor de concerthal liggen. Een gesprek over succes, hygiëne en de fans: "Ik organiseer wel eens privéfeestje".

Een tijd geleden hebben we in de rubriek startrax twee foto's naast elkaar geplaatst: een van Tokio Hotel zanger Bill Kaulitz en een van een stekelvarken. De gelijkenis was treffend, vonden wij. Op dinsdag lag het blad in de winkels en op de deurmatten, maar aan het einde van de middag kregen we de eerste mailtjes binnen van woeste tienermeisjes wier dag grondig was verpest. Waar halen wij het lef vandaan? vroegen deze meisjes zich af. Of we wel goed bij ons hoofd waren!

Ouders werden gedwongen hun abonnement per direct op te zeggen. Conclusie: humor en fans gaan niet samen. De meeste aanhangers van Tokio Hotel nemen de band bloedje-serieus, net als de band zelf. Zelf ontdekken we later dat de gemiddelde van idolen twintig is. Bill, Tom, Gustav en Georg gebruiken hun popularititeit niet om een werelds feest te maken en er worden geen groupies misbruikt, nee er wordt nog meer Fanta gedronken dan bier en bij het woordje 'drugs' worden de neusjes opgetrokken.

Het is een koude dag begin maart. Tokio Hotel treedt op in Rotterdam. Het personeel van Ahoy heeft het de afgelopen dagen druk gehad met het naar huis sturen van rillende meisje met blauwe lippen, die met slaapzak voor de concerthal bivakkeerden. Als we de parkeergarage inrijden, staan er net een paar tieners zich om te kleden. Blote armen, blote buik.

Wij trekken de sjaals om onze nek nog wat strakker aan.

Tokio Hotel is hot en met dank aan internet is de band uitgegroeid tot een reusachtige hype. Vooral zanger Bill Kaulitz brengt met zijn extravagante kapsel en de vele oogpotloden die hij er per jaar doorheen draait, de knieën aan het knikken. Dit is de derde Europese tournee van de band. De eerste twee waren al goed voor meer dan 200.000 bezoekers. Er reizen zo'n 60 crewleden mee van stad naar stad, van land naar land. Zeven trucks en vier enorme bussen.

ª De jongens zijn vandaag naar Amerika vertrokken, aan hen wens ik hen dus veel plezier !

Geloven doe ik het nog niet helemaal, maar het lijkt er meer en meer op dat het internet eindelijk weer werkt ... -dn moek ulle tenminste nemer lastigvallen met mijn gezaag over tinternet- Ach, laat ik maar gewoon beginnen hé ...

ª In de Joepie staat deze week de brief van Bill. (Duits + vertaling) Mensjes die mijn blog wat in het oog houden zullen wel gauw merken dat ik de brief van Bill al eerder had -bleuh naar joepie-.

ª Bill Kaulitz is door de Cosmo lezers benoemd tot 2e knapste persoon.

ª In de Bravo wordt het nu helemaal officieel gemaakt -had het ook al gedaan, maar dan voor een berperkt publiek- Gustav heeft twee tattoo's! Er is nu een duidelijke foto van de tattoo op zijn rug -die had ik niet, maar nu wel- en er zit ook een klein interviewtje bij. -vind maar goed ook, Gustav verdient net evenveel aandacht als Bill-

For a while now the Tokio Hotel fans have been confused: Does drummer Gustav have a tattoo or not?
Now it is out: He has one! And two right away! Exclusive in the Bravo, Gustav shows his huge back tattoo and a small one on the arm. And now? The one that always claimed in interviews that he would never get a tattoo?!

"Secretly I always have thought about it," he admits, "but I was waiting for the perfect image. First I wanted two birds on my shoulder, with a wreath and a sword in their beak. But what kind of mini sword would that be?” the drummer laughs. Then finally my saving came: “I met this really good tattoo guy and told him about my birds-with-sword problem. After that he sent me some sketches." The 19 year old liked them so much, that even before the rehearsals of the 1000 Hotels European tour had finished in February, he'd run into the tattoo studio to have them done!
“It was really spontaneous, two people from our team went along with me. I didn’t tell the others at first," he smiles. Seven hours is how long his first tattoo took: four hours for the lines, three hours for the shades and even after that: “It still isn’t totally ready." The star tattoo on his arm went quicker. “That only took two and a half hours," Gustav tells.

Did it hurt?

“Oh yes, it was really painful! The one on his back was especially painful”; according to Gustav. “We had to pause constantly. To stand all the pain I was most of the time biting on my own shirt." But the suffering paid off. On Gustav’s back you can now see two wings, a sword and a wreath.

And what does the artist want to say with that?
“The wings stand for freedom. The sword is for all the bad things that have happened to me – or maybe will even happen in the future. The wreath stands for all the good things and positive achievements: the happiness with the band and my family for example" Gustav explains. Of all people his family was the one that had to get used to the piece of “body jewellery”: “My parents were always against tattoos. That’s why I didn’t tell them anything, when I was getting my star on my arm done. But now they like it.”

And what do the other Tokio Hotel rockers say?
“They really like it: Bill has gone through the pain himself. He immediately has taken a good look at it. Only Tom warned me: “Man, you know that will never come off?!” Though, that won’t shock the drummer – contrary: he just got a taste for it and wants more tattoo’s: “I will definitely take one more, but what, I won’t tell yet," Now Gustav is preparing for the trip to the USA. Bill has recovered well from his vocal cord surgery: “during his vocal rehabilitation he is singing his own songs again – and is accompanied on the guitar by Tom," band manager David Jost tells. How it looks now the band will be on a plane to the USA on 1 May.

Bill writes in descending lines:
Generally speaking descending lines may be caused by depression or pessimism. Experience shows that people in a mood swing may temporarily
write in descending lines. In some cases fatigue can be considered a reason for a descending line.

Bill has small space in between the lines:
The space in between the lines can be described as the picture of the writers mind. Small spaces between the lines may indicate a person who likes to be around other people. If the lower zone descends in the following lines upper zone it may indicate a person who has strong sexual impulses. (If you look at the first three lines and the last three lines you can see there clearly is a difference, which indicates Bill has strong sexual impules)

Margins:
The left margin indicates the distance we wish to maintain to other people. Bills left margin is considerably small. However this only betrays what we want, because it is the non-deliberate right margin that shows the distance we really assume. Bills right margin is even smaller. So that says it all. Very little or no margins is indicative of a person who wants no distance between other people. They want to be one with the world.

Upper margins; Bill has a wide upper margin which means withdrawal.

The slant:
Bill has a rigth slant. The right slant is the most common and and most natural slant. The right slant is found in people in a hurry, impatient people and the active writer.

Symmetry:
Symmetry is a yardstick of the writers inner balance and developement. Symmetry is used to establish style value. When the upper zones are strongly developed (as we can see in the first three lines of Bills letter) we are dealing with a person of intelligence and ambition. However their emotional development remains infantile.

Legibility:
Legibilty is a measure of the writers sense of purposefulness. Bills writing is legible. Legible handwriters make good teachers and speakers. They are sincere and co-operative.

Size of letters:
Bill has small capitals; Small capitals are people who are modest in nature. They concentrate on facts, not ideas. Wide letters are extroverted people, narrow letters come from loners. I'd categorize Bills letters rather narrow.

Space in between letters:
Space between letters show the extent the writer relies upon their own intuition. As we can see in Bills letter, alot of letters are connected, while others are unconnected. When only some letters are unconnected it shows an artistic and intuitive thinker. When most letters are unconnected it shows a person who is an egocentric. So Bill has a little of both.

High t-bars:
This means he sets high goals, but they can be acomplished

Peter One tegen Teenie-band

Gangsta-rapper maakt Tokio Hotel belachelijk

Gangster-Rapper PeterOne (19) is tegen Tokio Hotel. In zijn lied "Tokio Hotel Diss" wenst de rapper uit Hannover zelfs een aanslag op de meest succesvolle Teenie-Band uit Duitsland!

"Ich hoffe, dass sie bald wieder verschwunden sind, dass es bis dahin nur noch ein paar Stunden sind. Vielleicht gibt's ein Attentat, Bill kriegt 'nen Herzinfarkt"

Dit zijn slechts een paar zinnetjes uit de PeterOne-Song "Tokio Hotel Diss", maar waarom schrijft hij dan zo'n haatlied over de band?

"Als rapper moet je bands als Tokio Hotel gewoon bagger vinden. Zij doen het tegenoverstelde van wat wij, de rappers, doen," zo PeterOne. "Ik zag een keer die "Monsun"-Song van Tokio Hotel bij VIVA en toen voelde ik die haat opborrelen. Juist dat heb ik proberen te verwoorden.

En inderdaad, er is wat uit Peter's pen gekomen namelijk een mensonterend lied. PeterOne noemt alle bandleden homo's, de muziek van Tokio Hotel is volgens hem dodelijk en ook de fans van de band verslindt de rapper met huid en haar in zijn lied.

Een  contract bij een platenmaatschappij krijgt men bij het maken van zulke muziek niet. "Het is iets te radicaal,' aldus PeterOne.

Ik schrik er meer en meer van! Op sommige van mijn "bronsites" staan er een zogenaamd blacklist. Ja zou je denken, dat ken ik. Maar waarvan mijn ogen zo uit hun kassen rollen is dat in veel lijsten www.bloggen.be/... staat ! Vermits ik hier ook via bloggen.be zit ... Voor mij is dit ook een stukje beangstigend, want bloggen.be ligt dichter bij mijn blog dan die van anderen ... Ik heb het al tegengekomen bij een andere site en dat vond ik al niet leuk ... Dus ik ga nu bloggen afgaan om eens rond te neuzen. Blogs die teveel op de mijne trekken en na die van mij aangemaakt zijn, weze gewaarschuwd!

Teen Dream included just a poster, and Kewl had a short
interview with them.

What are your plans for the future? Do you want to live here or in Europe?
Bill: I think we'll always have our roots in germany because our families and friends are all there. So because of that we'll always have ties to Germany...
Tom: But a second home here in LA, well we wouldn't say no to that!

What was it like winning the MTV Europe band of the year Award?
Bill: It was probably one of the most amazing and unforgettable evenings of our career up to now. It was pretty incredible thing that we were even nominated and with such incredible bands and then to win! It was unbelieveable.

What was the inspiration for the song and video "Ready, Set, Go"?
Bill: Its kind of our story. Its saying not to be afraid to begin a new life for yourself. Not to be afraid to take new paths in life in order to achieve your goals...to fight against everything that gets in your way, even the barriers that we set up for ourselves. And thats kind of what we've done.

Do you guys have any superstitions about performing?
Bill: Yeah. I have an amulet, a kind of good luck charm that I always have with me. And the others are also superstitious about it. Like if I don't have it with me, then they know something will go wrong.

Whats the strangest or best present you've ever gotten from a fan?
Tom: The best one is the hardest to explain, because we got a letter..a letter that was like 14 kilometers long!
Bill: Yeah! It took them over six months to write it or something.
Tom: Then someone bought us a..
Bill:..a star.
Tom: Somewhere out in the universe is a star named Tokio Hotel.

What would you like to say to the kids in America?
Bill: We're really excited that our shows are sold out, and we're looking forward to our concerts. We want to come back and play more live concerts and see more of the country.
Tom: ..And we want to thank you guys for the support you've shown that brought us here.

How is Bill feeling after the surgery?
Tom: Bill is feeling well. After the surgery, he was not allowed to speak for 10 days. That's a really big challenge because Bill normaly speaks 24/7. To be honest, he is bored to hell and he can not wait to get back on stage.

Are you excited to go back on stage and preform?

All: Yes!
Tom: We were in the middle of our European tour and we felt really bad that we had to cancel the dates and dissapoint our fans. Bill felt really bad, but we all told him it was not his fault. Our fans have been so supportive. They sent so many get well greetings. We can't wait to get back on stage and spend time with our fans and thank them for being so understanding and supportive.
Georg: We really have the best fans in the world. They are just amazing

Describe a TH show?
Gustav: It's a very driven show!
Georg: It's an energetic show!
Tom (laughing): it is a real rock show with an amazing guitar player who is also very sexy...
All: ohhhhhhhhh!
Tom: yeah it is a pretty intense show and there is always a great vibe coming from the fans- a very special, intense, and energetic vibe. It's hard to describe. We would love to see you there.

Scream is doing extremely well in Canada. Do you have a strategy for conquering the US?

Georg: We freaked out when we got the news that Scream hit the Canadian charts at #6- that's crazy!
Tom: Yes, we are really flattered. (laughing) But I think we have to disapoint you because we do not have something like a major pla. Getting the chance to go overseas and playing in the states is a really big thing for us, because these things normally don't happen to a German band.

Will there be any new additons to the US release of Scream?
Tom: We do have some special suprises for the states and we're really excited. There will be 3 versions of the album avalibe. All of them will have "Live Every Second" and the German version of "Monsoon". The Hot Topic version also includes " Raise Your Hands". We can't wait to see how the fans will react!

When you listen to your songs from you English album do they have a differant mood or sound from the original due to the language change?

Tom: Our lyrics are really important to us and we wanted everyone to understand us so we decided to do the English version so people don't need to sit down and translate. The most important thing to us was that it sounded great and none of the meaning and feeling of the songs would get lost. Our English really is not that great so we got help on that. But we ar really happy with the English album. So all the songs feel like the German versions to us ( laughing). The only difference now is that Bill has to keep 2 versions of nearly every song in his memory. And we actually have bets running when he will mix them up for the very 1st time.

When you listen to your songs from the English album, do they have a differant mood or sound from the original versions due to the language change? To someone unfamiliar with your music, what would you tell them your songs are about?
Tom: Well every song has it own meaning. Bill writes about everthing that is going on in our llives, in the lives of our families and friends, or in the lives of our fans. It's about what we feel, what we have been through, what we are about, and the thoughts we have. One song that Bill wrote is call "Live Every Second" and it is about enjoying life and not wasting tome. And "RSG" is about tearing down the walls and leaving everything behind you to make your dreams happen. " Scream" is about being yourself, speaking your mind, and not letting peole tell you how to act.

How did the band come together?

Tom: Bill and I started when we were about 9. I got my 1st guitar from my stepdad who is a musician and runs a music school. Bill always used to sing and always wanted to become a singer for as long as I can remember. So we started writing our first songs which were not that good. After that w palyed whereever we could. One night Bill and I played in our main club Gröninger Bad, we met Gerog and Gustav.
Gustav: Georg and I met at music school and became friends.
Georg: Yes, and that night we saw these 2 guys on the stage-
Gustav (laughing): They needed help, that was obvious.
Tom: (grinning): we were looking for a base player and a drummer anway, but we could not find anyone, and after we preformed these 2 guys begged us to join the band. And it seemed that they were the only drummer and bass player in town, so we gave it a go.
Georg: You mean the best bass player and drummer.
Tom (laughing) I mean the only. Magdeburg, the city we are from, is not reallly known as a place of great music or great talents. Anyway that was like 7 years ago. Then we got our rehersal room and started writtng. We recorded out own CD and sold it for 5 Deutschmarks, that was a really ig deal. And we also sent tapes to record companies, but didn't get any response. Gosh, I hope these tapes don't exist anymore. we were thinking everyday ' Please, can't just a producer come by and discover us?', And then he came. He saw us preforming at our main club and asked us if we wanted to work with him in the studio. And that's what we did for 2 years. Man we did not think that we would ever get a deal and release a single or even an album. But finally it happened and we released Durch den Monsun August 2005.

Is all the fame and success sometimes overwhelming at your young age?

Tom: I don't think it's about age. Of course we've started pretty young, and especially Bill and I had to grow up in front of the public eye. So we had to get used to a lot of things. We've been brought up very libral and free and all of the suden it was a big deal when we went out to party. Everything that happened to us is really more than we ever dreamed of, and we can't even explain it to ourselves.
Georg (laughing): Sometimes when we see a piece of TV about us I go ' yes that really happend'.

With all the awards tha TH have received, is there one that stands out as the most important?
Tom: Each and every single award that we got so far has a special meaning to us because it stands out for a particular time in our lives. But I have to say the awards voted by our fans are the most precious to us....
All: Yes, Definitley!!
Tom: Our fans are just so amazing and supportive. When we were nominated for the EMA's we were in a catagory with really big bands like Linkin' Park and Depeche Mode. Being nominated with these big bands- that was overwhelming. But winning the award? Our fans made that happen- that was crazy!

As a band, did you set out to make rock music?

Tom: We never really said "Let's do rock". It just came out of us once we stared to go together in the rehersal room,

Who would you say are your favorite American bands?
Gustav: Of course there are tons of great band in America. I love the Foo Fighters and Metllica.
Georg: Green Day is great as well.
Tom: When I was younger I listened to a lot of Aerosmith and they are still one of the biggest bands in the world.

Do you find rock music from Germany different American rock?
Tom: I think that it's not where you come from, it is about every band having its own induvidual style and sound. And the greatest thing about musc is that there are noeboarders and no limits-  music is the language that everyone in the world understands.

Met mijn broek opgerold tot aan mijn knieën, natte sokken en een sjaal voor mijn pull die nat is omdat het water gewoon door mijn -geweldige- regenjas druipte, zit ik hier nu. Nog moe van het weekend niet al te vroeg te zijn gaan slapen en nog vermoeider van de klas waar ik inzit -drugs, mensen in de fik, met stoelen gooien !en het is verdorie geen BSO -> beroepsklas! Sorry voor mensen die eventueel deze richting doen, heb niets tegen jullie hoor. Neen, het is ASO Latijn. Kunt ge da geloven?!-

Ach, gelukkig is er weer iets leuks om iedereen zo wat op te vrolijken, want Bill spreekt weer -jah, heb je dat gistren al verteld, ben ni seniel- Maar heb er nog een leuk ietsje rond gevonden ...

Tokio Hotel Bill zegt "bedankt" op Bild.de

Berlijn - Het zullen zijn eerste officieel vastgelegde woorden zijn na de keeloperatie van vier weken terug!

Rockster Bill Kaulitz (18) van "Tokio Hotel" heeft zijn stem terug en zijn fans kunnen eindelijk écht opgelucht ademhalen!

Hoe dan ook, de typische "Tokio-Hotel"Cult van Europa schijnt zich steeds meer naar Amerika te verplaatsen. De US-fans nemen zelfs de moeite om Duits te leren om de songteksten beter kunnen verstaan. Ook de Amerikaanse media zijn van Tokio Hotel onder de indruk. Recensenten van belangrijke tijdschrijften als de "New York Times" en de "Rolling Stone" spreken euforisch over de band. Een goed begin van de wereldcarrière van Tokio Hotel!
