Here you can find the match report of our most exciting game until now. The 19th of october we played against KSV Oudenaarde A. A whole match is split in 4 quarters. Each quarter contains 20 minutes, so we play 80 minutes in total.

During the first 5 minutes of the match, we started very good and Wouter scored the first goal: 1-0. During the rest of this first quarter we were playing very bad and so the score was 1-4 after 20 minutes. Not easy to come back...

The second quarter, we played better and we forced a fiew opportunities to score, but we only scored once. Wolf made the goal. Oudenaarde forced two chances to make a goal... And they did it twice... 2-6 after two quarters.

It seems to be an impossible task to come back when you have a backlog of 4 goals against a good team as Oudenaarde. But you never know with our U11... I motivated them like a crazy one!

The third quarter started and we took Oudenaarde in a stranglehold. We forced chance by chance and so made 2 goals in this third quarter. Unfortunately, Oudenaarde got only one chance in this quarter and scored it immediately... 4-7 before starting the last quarter.

I had the feeling that we still had a chance to make a comeback during the last quarter of the game. So I gave my players a motivating peptalk before starting the last 20 minutes of the match. And they really did their best.... They did EVERYTHING to make 3 goals. They pressed and they forced chance by chance. But unfortunately we only scored twice, so the match ended on a 6-7 defeat...

But I'm happy with the way my little heroes played. They did everything but stranded on one goal of a tie. First losing game of the season, but that's no problem for me!

I'm already looking forward to the next game.

Welcome to my blog! I am the coach of a soccer team for kids of 10 years old in SC Dikkelvenne. The club SC Dikkelvenne is active in the 5th of 8 devisions in Belgium.

First let me introduce them to you:

The boys are by everage 10 years old but they are already really good soccerplayers. They win most of their games and most of the time with big difference in the score.

A little overview of our results in the competition:

SCD - Gavere-Asper 13-0

SK Ronse - SCD 3-13

SCD - Oudenaarde 7-2

Zottegem - SCD 0-10

SCD - Elene-Grotenberge 4-2

Borsbeke - SCD 4-9

SCD - Oudenaarde 6-7

Gavere-Asper - SCD 7-6

As you can see, we lost two games. One against another very good team: Oudenaarde and one against Gavere-Asper, Against Gavere-Asper we had a lot of players who were absent.

We also participate at the CécémelCup. In every round of the Cup we have one opponent to play against in a home and an away match. The first round of the cup we won with 1-8 in Elene-Grotenberge, the second match at home ends at 2-0 because Elene-Grotenberge wouldn't play. So we won automatically with 2-0. In the next round we have a confrontation with Ooidonck-Leerne.
