After we brought Tim home, we showed him his room, we fed him, a little bit of quiche and a salad. We took Tim for a little walk to my mum. It was her birthday and way to meet. We didn't stay too long, but maybe we did for Tim's sake, Sorry Tim! So on Tuesday everybody slept in, my kids and Maurice didn't mind and I don't think Tim did. Hans had to sleep during the day because off the night job he was doing, he didn't see much of Tim... So after lunch we went to the supermarket, silly maybe he does know a supermarket, still might come in handy? Then I took him on a bycicle ride in the neighbourhood, showed him where I work! Important to know! Tim said he really likes to ride a bike so that was very nice to know, later that evening we took a tour a bit further and showed him where the trappist monks live, tell Reece! He's been. But before that we went for ice cream, Tim had a Belgian waffle with 2 scoops of vanilla, liked it I believe. I let him do the cooking that night, koriander chicken and rice, it was nice and quiet special since we saw him slice the onions!
Sorry, will be for some other time, pictures are still on other computer. I can't transfer them! But I found a picture of a great waffle!!!! Caramel au beurre salee! I won't spare you...
I prepared soup, quiche and apple pie, my very friendly neighbours from nr 10 and 33, took care of the entree. nextdoor neighbour cheesecake and nr 11 a slovakian dessert with sour cherrries.

the workers this is what's left over... it was a great day, we have 2 more celebrations to come, one with the neighbours in the speelstraat and with the family.
Yes, yes, we do celebrate it this year. We do it in stages and last Sunday was the kick off. We have a "kliek" day, an outing with our friends for over 30 years. This time Maurice and I organised it and we chose a boat trip to see world heritage. None of us has seen it before so time to go. We've seen lifts that take boats to cover the height difference and we travelled in one. I can't explain it very well, I hope you can make something out of it I'll look it up on Wikipedia...
My husband is very interested Leonardo Da Vinci invented the system and the Eiffel tower people cam e to help make it.
On our way to the next event... we make it as comfortable as we can. We had a pic-nic, Maurice and I where making it at 6 a.m. the girls the boys
hmmm, doesn't it look great? For dinner I ate delicious French mussels! Forgot the picture... After all this it is time to drive home, it rained all the way. At home the husbands and kids went fishing, had spaghetie and spend the evening together, so they had lots of fun as well.
Is that the right way too say it? Or maybe working experience from out of school. It starts in February goes untill June, for 4 days a week and the fifth she makes a thesis(??). It is at Continental Airlines ,next to our national airport, where Tim will land in Belgium!
We went looking for a room for Hans, while he studies in Kortrijk, here are the pictures... Later on we'll make new ones after we "dressed" it
