Following WWE's recent evaluation of Ohio Valley Wrestling talent, in addition to Gavin Garrison, the company has signed Chris Cage and Ryan "Ryback" Reeves to developmental contracts. Both individuals were former WWE developmental wrestlers. Cage was considered a strong prospect by WWE, and was close to being called up in a tag team with The Miz in spring 2006, but he was hospitalized following an incident at a spring break resort (where they were shooting vignettes) and he was let go from his contract. Reeves was dropped from his developmental contract during a massive purge of talent in January 2007. In the meantime, he didn't work too many wrestling shows other than some shots in Ohio Valley Wrestling in the past year. He is the first wrestler to be brought back with a strike on his record as he violated WWE's drug testing policy in the summer of 2006 -- and was suspended for 30 days as a result. The previous strike is still being held against him. For people unfamiliar with Reeves, he was a contestant in the Tough Enough contest held in late 2004. WWE signed him to a developmental contract in 2005, and he lasted approximately a year and half before being let go.
Jack Swagger def. Brett Badery Shad def. The Miz (Disqualification) Evan Bourne def. Mark Henry and Finlay (Triple Threat Match)
LAREDO, Texas With Cyber Sunday and the battle for the ECW Championship just days away it was young star, Evan Bourne, who outshined his fellow challengers in a Triple Threat Match. WATCH all of the action now in the ECW Quick Cut and check out WWE.coms exclusive ringside PHOTOS.
Evan Bourne def. Mark Henry and Finlay (Triple Threat Match) (WATCH) (PHOTOS) In a battle pitting all three potential challengers for the ECW Championship at Cyber Sunday against each other, Mark Henry was firmly in control from the start. However, Finlay shook things up when he bashed Henry with his shillelagh. Evan Bourne capitalized by knocking Finlay to the canvas after leaping from the ropes. Then, with both the Belfast Brawler and Worlds Strongest Man down, Bourne took to the ropes again and hit Henry with a Shooting Star Press to pick up the biggest win of his career. Choose ECW Champion Matt Hardy's Cyber Sunday challenger.
Shad def. The Miz (Disqualification) (PHOTOS) Despite Shad's brute force and size advantage over The Miz, "The Dirt Sheet" host held his own against his "Word Up" nemesis. However, when The Mizs co-host, John Morrison, kicked Shad in the back, the referee immediately called for the bell and ruled the match a disqualification. "The Dirt Sheet" could face Word Up in a Cyber Sunday Tag Team Match if the WWE Universe chooses the encounter among three potential matches. Cast your Cyber Sunday vote.
Jack Swagger def. Brett Badery (PHOTOS) Using killer instinct, The All-American American Jack Swagger dominated Brett Badery, finishing off the young upstart with a brutal gutwrench powerbomb. After the match, WWEs Todd Grisham asked Swagger what he would do the next time he collided with ECW Original Tommy Dreamer. Swagger sarcastically replied, Tommy who? and sauntered out of the ring.
One of the reasons WWE brought Tony Atlas in was not so much to mentor Mark Henry, but to be a good influence on him on the road. Henry often traveled alone and was said to never be a healthy eater. WWE officials were concerned about his weight because when he gets too heavy, he becomes immobile. Atlas, who is in his early 50s, is in fantastic shape due to his strict training schedule and healthy eating habits. By making Atlas his traveling partner, the feeling is he'll keep Henry's weight, eating habits and conditioning under control.
New information has surfaced concerning the sudden release of WWE Raw superstar Lance Cade last week. According to a new report released by Jason Powell of prowrestling.net, abuse of prescription drugs appeared to be a major catalyst for the seizure Cade had during a flight with colleague Lillian Garcia. Generally, WWE would suspend wrestlers who are found abusing prescription drugs for 30-60 days, however, considering the abuse in Cade's case resulted in a potentially life threatening seizure, they decided to terminate his contract as they felt the situation was much more grave than any others they have dealt with in the past.
Following the seizure, Lillian Garcia informed flight attendants that Cade was a professional wrestler, and he was rushed to a hospital as soon as the plane landed. He was reportedly still incoherent while at the hospital, and the medical staff ran a battery of tests to determine if the injury was athletic as opposed to drug related. Of course this report is now indicating that drug abuse may have played a key factor in this potentially deadly seizure.
This weeks episode of WWE Monday Night RAW pulled a 2.9 cable rating, down from last weeks 3.1. The shows first hour did a 2.94 and the second hour dropped down to a 2.92, meaning the lead-in show for Cyber Sunday dropped in viewership as it went on.
WWE management cant blame Monday Night Football this time around, as the New England Patriots blowing out the Denver Broncos only did a 8.2 cable rating, below normal and down from last week.
The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter is now reporting that The Honky Tonk Man has told friends he still plans to show up at WWE's Cyber Sunday PPV this weekend in Phoenix, AZ. It was reported last week that it was unsure if he could wrestle, but the belief is that if he is voted in that WWE could work around it.

ECW wrestler John Morrison posted a long blog on the WWE Universe site blasting Cryme Tyme. Morrison wrote: "Its no wonder that Crime Time has never earned any sort of championship in the WWE. They are a pile of stale ideas that will never amount to anything more than blurry reflections of societys interpretation of what gangstas or thugs should be. Crime Time and the people that cheer for them are superficial and shallow; things they dont understand they call gay. Other things that Crime Time doesnt understand include politics, women, and basic hygiene. Are politics, women, and hygiene gay?... By the way Shad smells like hot garbage." The blog features several more insults directed towards Cryme Tyme.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas With less than a week to go before Cyber Sunday, Monday Night Raw came roaring into the Lone Star State, with WWE Superstars battling it out leading up to the one day of the year where you, our fans of the WWE Universe, are in control. Before they face off on Sunday with a referee of the WWE Universes choosing, the two ring warriors with the most at stake, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and No. 1 contender Batista, were forced to run the Gauntlet, facing the same three opponents in another Adamle Original. WATCH all of the action now in the Raw Quick Cut and check out WWE.coms exclusive ringside PHOTOS.
Batista outlasted Chris Jericho in a Gauntlet Match (PHOTOS | WATCH) For the first time ever, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Batista were forced to take turns competing against the same three impressive athletes in a Gauntlet Match as the other ring warrior stood in the opposite corner. The Animal was the first one up, defeating the Brawling Brit, William Regal. Not letting the No. 1 contender show him up, Jericho defeated a weakened Regal, and competed first in the next round.
The next challenger was a decidedly larger one: former ECW Champion Mark Henry. Chris Jericho hit the Worlds Strongest Man with his title, losing the match by disqualification. While Henry recovered from the blow, Batista took advantage, pinning the behemoth. The third and final hurdle in the Gauntlet Match was none other than the Big Red Monster, Kane. After an impressive performance, Jericho was overpowered by the Big Red Monster. But Batista quickly stepped in, defeating the 7-footer, and boasting to the battered World Heavyweight Champion, just days before their match at Cyber Sunday, where the WWE Universe will decide who will officiate the contest. Vote now!
Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase & Manu assaulted Cryme Tyme (PHOTOS) Though World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase and Cryme Tyme both have a chance to compete in the Pick the Tag Team Match at Cyber Sunday, they were set to battle one another on Raw. Before the match could even begin, however, the champions, along with fellow second-generation Superstar Manu, assaulted their opponents. They proceeded to brutalize Shad & JTG, after which Manu raised Rhodes & DiBiases hands in a show of their ruthless strength and ability. Vote now!
Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella and Womens Champion Beth Phoenix attacked Hacksaw Jim Duggan (PHOTOS | WATCH) Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella came out to the ring accompanied as usual by Womens Champion Beth Phoenix, but the Italian Superstar was oddly attired in a mix of clothing representative of the three former Intercontinental Champions he could potentially face at Cyber Sunday: Rowdy Roddy Piper, Goldust and Honky Tonk Man. After degrading the three ring legends, Marella was interrupted by the fan-favorite entrance of Hacksaw Jim Duggan, incensed by the Intercontinental Champions lack of respect. After Duggan suggested that the Italian Superstar wouldnt have his title if not for his girlfriend, Beth Phoenix, Marella clobbered him in the head with the guitar he brought to the ring in imitation of Honky Tonk Man. Vote now!
The Miz & John Morrison def. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston (PHOTOS) Both CM Punk & Kofi Kingston and ECWs The Miz & John Morrison had a chance on Raw to show the WWE Universe why they should be the ones to compete in the Pick the Tag Team Match at Cyber Sunday. It was the self-proclaimed chick magnet and the Shaman of Sexy that proved themselves, however, as The Miz managed to pin former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Vote now!
Rey Mysterio def. Snitsky (PHOTOS) Though he will be facing Kane at Cyber Sunday in a match type of the WWE Universes choosing, Rey Mysterio faced another monstrous Superstar, Snitsky. In spite of some vicious pre-match threats from the yellow-toothed ogre, Mysterio proved why he is the Biggest Little Man in WWE, cutting Snitsky down to size. Vote now!
JBL def. Stone Cold Steve Haas-tin (PHOTOS | WATCH) Continuing his string of Superstar impersonations in the Texas Rattlesnakes home state, Charlie Haas interrupted JBLs pompous rantings dressed as Stone Cold Steve Austin himself. Haas-tin paid homage to Stone Colds legendary mic skills and promptly began his slobberknocker of a match against the self-made millionaire. JBL was able to turn things around, however, defeating the disguised Haas.
Raw GM Mike Adamle announced a Gauntlet Match between World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and Batista; Jericho attacked The Animal (PHOTOS) World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho came to the Raw ring with his characteristic cockiness and demanded that the WWE Universe give him the respect he believes he deserves for winning the first-ever World Heavyweight Championship Scramble as well as his recent defenses of his title. He was interrupted by his Cyber Sunday opponent, Batista, declaring that Jericho has to earn respect. Before their confrontation could escalate, however, Raw General Manager Mike Adamle emerged with an opportunity for both men to gain respect: Another Adamle Original, a Gauntlet Match in which each ring warrior will face the same three opponents of the GMs choosing. After receiving the brief explanation, the World Heavyweight Champion slapped Batista before retreating to the locker room area.
Kelly Kelly & Candice Michelle def. Jillian & Katie Lea Burchill (PHOTOS) Jillian attempted to open Raw in a rather painful manner, with her excruciating rendition of Willie Nelsons Mama, Dont Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys. Luckily, Jillian & Katie Lea Burchills opponents for the night, Kelly Kelly & Candice Michelle, were standing by to rescue the WWE Universe from the tone-deaf songstress screeching. Kelly interrupted Jillians solo, and even went on to pin the Diva for the win.

Undertaker vs. The Great Khali (No Contest) (PHOTOS) In an opportunity to showcase his dominance, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero set up a match pitting The Great Khali against Undertaker. But, before a winner could be determined, Big Show intervened, dropping Undertaker with a chokeslam. Then, when The Worlds Largest Athlete tried to coerce Khali into hitting the unconscious Deadman with a steel chair, the Punjabi Giant refused, knocking the chair out of his hand. In the end, The Phenom rose from his unconscious state and nailed Big Show from behind with the steel chair, sending him out of the ring and retreating up the ramp.

NEWS AND VIDEO FROM THURSDAY'S TNA "iMPACT!" BROADCAST ON SPIKE TV
There are several major news items to report from Thursday's "iMPACT!" as TNA prepares for our live HD broadcast from Las Vegas, as well as the November 9 "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View event.
- The Motor City Machineguns beat X Champion Sheik Abdul Bashir and "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt in tag team action. After the bout, Kurt Angle attacked both teams and said he wouldn't stop the carnage until he got Jeff Jarrett back in the ring.
- Later, after assaulting several TNA stars and staff, Jarrett confronted Angle and told him there wouldn't be another match, because Jarrett has a company to run. As Jarrett left the ring, Angle told him that perhaps he would pay a visit to Jeff's home - and his children! Jarrett tried to storm the ring in response, but security held him back.
- After that, Mick Foley came out to say goodbye to the TNA fans, as he gave his farewell speech to close the book on his career. However, Jarrett got to Foley before he left the arena, asking Mick to "hear him out" in privacy backstage. Later in the broadcast, JB tried to get to the bottom of their talk as Foley and Jarrett were leaving the arena, but all Foley would reveal was that they would announce their plans to the world on Thursday's live iMPACT from Las Vegas.
- The wrestling word heard from new TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting, who got into a war of words with AJ Styles over he respect issue. It resulted in a pull-apart between the two TNA superstars.
- "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash (in his in-ring return) defeated Consequences Creed. After the bout, Nash had some harsh words for Samoa Joe. Nash said he never forgot the disrespect Joe showed him, and gave Joe fair warning that "Big Sexy is back".
- In the main event of the broadcast, Kurt Angle beat Matt Morgan. After the bout as Angle poured on the punishment, Abyss attempted to help his tag team partner, but Angle attacked him as well!
- Booker T promises to reveal the contents of the mysterious briefcase on the live iMPACT from Las Vegas. Later, in singles action, Booker defeated Hernandez of The Latin American Xchange.
- Roxxi beat Raisha Saeed in Knockouts action, but Awesome Kong annihilated Roxxi after the match.
James Guttman welcomes Balls to the show and asks how things are by him. Mahoney says he's doing well. In fact, he's doing better than he was the previous weekend. For those that don't know, he wrestled an Indy show and got pretty worked over. After the match, he made a quick run to a local rest stop. When he returned to the arena, he found that the envelope with his pay was missing.
"For the first time in my career ever, I had money stolen out of my bag."
JG says that a situation like that is doubly rough because not only do you lose money, but you have to spend time trying to figure out who actually stole it. Balls says that he has some suspects and, even more than that, has ways to deal with it.
"Let's put this on the site. If I ever find out who took this money I'm going to kill you. I'm not going to beat you up. I'm not going to slap you. I'm not going to cut a promo on you. I'm going to cut your throat. I'm going to kill you. I have a son I need to take care of. He's ten months old. It isn't f**kin' funny. What you did took money and food and educational (opportunities) away from my son. You f**ked up the ability I have to take care of my son and my wife and my mother. For this, I am going to end your f**king life. Period."
***ClubWWI.com Break***
James mentions that in his shoot with Tod Gordon, they spoke about the Original ECW and Vince McMahon's problems with it. Guttman also points out that Mahoney is synonymous with the original promotion. Was that something that worked against him in the company?
Mahoney says it worked against him huge. He points to the New Blood vs. ECW Original match at WrestleMania. He was omitted from that and when that happened, the writing was on the wall.
"They always omitted me. They wanted Sabu, Hak, Dreamer and Van Dam. But they wouldn't put me in it and I got pissed off. And I'm still kind of f**king bitter about that. And of course I got the apology a couple of weeks later. 'We're sorry. We forgot about you.' And that's when they were going to start the Kelly Kelly angle anyway. Basically they were f**king with me. They do that up there. I'm not trying to be mean, but that's what they do. They f**k with people and they f**k with your mind to see how you're going to react. You know what I mean? And if you end up blowing up on them hehehe. You're done."
During his time away from TNA, Kevin Nash had a lot of tattoo work done. Much like Randy Orton did during his time off, Kevin Nash had his entire arm covered with a red and black "sleeve" tattoo. The tattoo appears to be be far along but not yet complete, as some parts are not filled in with color. Nash returned to TNA at Bound For Glory last weekend after a brief hiatus and defeated X-Division star Consequences Creed on this week's iMPACT!
Former TNA star Johnny Devine posted a new Myspace.com blog explaining why he decided to ask TNA Wrestling for a release (which they granted him):
Well the questions are flying and the answers are few and far between so I figure I will bust out a little column for now to address the questions for my fans and friends. Yes, I asked for a release from TNA. Yes, it has been granted to me. I had until Oct 22, 09 on my contract remaining. Why you ask? Well that's a long answer with a number of reasons. All of which are personal, and need not be thrown out there. For now I will simply say that I made myself a promise early on in my career. That was: when it's no longer fun to wrestle it's time to go. And it was no longer fun for me at TNA.
Now I realize that there will be many of you who will jump all over me and say things like "I would kill to have that spot." etc. But unless you have been there it's very difficult to know how you would react in the same position.
TNA is a great place to work. The locker room is fun, the boys all get along for the most part. And everyone there can wrestle their butts off. But a lot of the time the guys are not allowed to show that as it's not what is right for the spot. A lot of people don't understand what does and doesn't make a good wrestling match or TV show. I will simply use myself as an example of this.
Simply put, my job is/was to make others look good. Did I do a good job of this? Yes. Sometimes too good? Yes. Could I have gone out there and done shooting star presses and 450 splashes galore? Yes. Those of you who know me know I am capable of many things in a wrestling ring. Would it have made my opponents look good? No. Would it have been too flashy for my role as X Division traitor? YES! Thus I didn't do the things people wanted to see, I did my job and did the things people didn't want to see.
I take a lot of pride in my job. It is my one MAJOR vice. Perhaps I have too much pride but that is my failing. I trained very hard with everyone I could to learn everything I can about the wrestling business. I still do it today and try to learn something every show, or every opportunity. The veterans who "knew" me always got questions as to the whys and how's of the business side of things. So when so much effort is put into something you are not allowed to show or capitalize on, it can get rather frustrating. And that frustration builds over time. Mine built to the level where I was no longer enjoying the little I was allowed to do. And that in a small nutshell is why I needed to leave.
What's next for me now? Well school is the first thing on the list. I am going to take a broadcasting and TV production course and see if the other side of the camera is as exciting as being in front of it. Wrestling wise I will continue to work indy's and instruct at Scott D'Amore's CanAm wrestling school in Windsor Ontario. So I am not gone form the biz just looking at things a little differently. Hope this helps to shed some light for those who have asked. I

Cyber Sunday announcement (PHOTOS) After WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas proclaimed to the WWE Universe in Las Vegas that Mark Henry is deserving of the ECW Championship, ECW General Manager Theodore Long entered the Thomas & Mack Center to make an announcement about Cyber Sunday. Evan Bourne def. Chavo Guerrero (WATCH) (PHOTOS) In the nights first Cyber Sunday qualifying match, Evan Air Bourne picked up the win over former ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero. The young, high-flyer, who is part of Longs New Superstar Initiative on ECW, earned the second spot on the Cyber Sunday ballot. Now its up to the WWE Universe to determine who will face Hardy for the ECW Title on Oct. 26. (Read more on this story.)
Sci Fi's 31 Days of Halloween To celebrate Sci Fis 31 Days of Halloween, Tiffany showed off her latest and greatest costume as a Las Vegas showgirl. While GM Long was assuring the Diva shes a shoo-in to the Divas Costume Contest at Cyber Sunday, they were interrupted by The All-American American Jack Swagger and ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, who were arguing about who should have the chance to earn an opportunity to face Hardy at Cyber Sunday.
Finlay def. John Morrison (WATCH) (PHOTOS) In the final Cyber Sunday qualifying match on ECW, Finlay defeated John Morrison, but not before an interruption by Mike Knox and some help by Cryme Tyme. After Finlay's win, he clobbered both Shad & JTG with his shillelagh, but then Henry ambushed the man who loves to fight with a World's Strongest Slam on the ramp, clearly offering a harsh message. Finlay may now have the chance to face Hardy for the ECW Title at Cyber Sunday on Oct. 26, but its up to the WWE Universe to pick Hardys opponent. (Read more on this story.)
Honky Tonk Man was telling people this past week that he wasn't sure he'd be able to wrestle at Cyber Sunday if voted in. Earlier in the year, he had a severe finger injury, which may eventually need surgery. A photo recently surfaced online of Honky Tonk Man showing his badly injured finger and it's still scarred and in bad shape. Outside an indy show, he and another guy swung guitars at each other at the same time and the other guy hit the neck of Honky's guitar as well as his finger. Honky Tonk Man got 18 stitches put in and claimed he nearly lost the finger.
Scott Hall was involved in another incident over the weekend at the Monroe Crown Plaza Hotel's restaurant in which he flirted with a woman who was with her husband and kids. The man in question sent a letter online detailing the ordeal. Here are some of the things the man wrote:
* "Scott Hall came in a short time later, sat down and appeared to start drinking heavily. Keep in mind this is about 5:00 pm. At first there was no issue. Mr. Hall seemed in good enough spirits and caused no issue. Things quickly turned as he began to make inappropriate comments to my wife. Without getting too graphic, he basically stated to my wife that I must have a lot of money because a hot woman like her would never marry an ugly guy like him and that she should come to his room later and that I would never know. Keep in mind as well this was in front of my 6 year old and 2 year old daughters and well before 6 pm."
* "He then went on to state that he would like to perform oral sex (I'm apologize if I am being too graphic) on my wife "every day."
Hall left the establishment, but came back a short time later.
* "Almost immediately when trying to round up our things Mr. Hall stumbled to our table and in front of my two daughters begun to again tell my wife again how "sexy and hot" she was and that she needed to be with him. He then touched her face twice. At this point I needed to be a responsible husband and parent and ensure the safety of my wife and children irregardless how upset that I now was and believe me I was upset that this person would attempt to ruin the evening for my family for no reason."
* "I VERY politely told Mr. Hall that we were enjoying family time and that we would prefer to enjoy the rest of the evening alone. I then told him that my daughters were becoming very frightened. Mr. Hall looked at me, and began to yell at me calling me a f**king mark several times (I must have heard him say this at least 20 times throughout the evening in making fun of someone who asked for a picture or autograph. Of course, he said this after they left at least we know what Mr. Hall really thinks of the fans that now support him at these shows). Again, he was using this profane language in front of my 6 and 2 year old daughters. At this point my six year old began to shake and cry uncontrollably and I told my wife to get them out of the restaurant right away. Once I was sure they were safe, I came back and asked Mr. Hall what was his problem and he just walked away in a stupor."
* "I did not realize at this point that several other customers in the restaurant had already complained to management as well about his behavior. I was told after the fact by one group of customers that Mr. Hall had allegedly stuck his finger in his nose and attempted to put it in their food."
* "I talked to the police to let them know what transpired as well as heard from other customers who were equally disgusted with his actions. I was also told he harassed and attempted to intimidate hotel employees. Due to the fact that what Mr. Hall did to my wife and family was considered harassment and a crime, I was asked by the police if I wanted to press charges. I declined The man appears to have serious issues that need to be addressed."
