Frankie Kazarian asked for his release from TNA at the last set of television tapings because he's been frustrated with the creative direction for his character, Suicide. Management initially agreed to grant him the release, but AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels soothed over the situation and his release was never finalized.
"When I woke up and realized I should be my own man and be responsible for being happy, I realized I still have a lot to contribute to the wrestling business. And jumping into TNA [Total Nonstop Action] and being a part of that company is huge. I have a chance to give back and help these young wrestlers who don't understand the business and the art form."
- Thanks to Dylan Wolfe and PWInsider for these TNA iMPACT spoilers that air on October 29th:
Krystal Marshall-Lashley is sitting ringside again.
Desmond Wolf opens Impact saying hes not the next best thing he is the One. He tears down the U.S. and then moves on to Angle, claiming he didnt win his gold medal he only claimed it on points. Says that after last weeks beatdown on Angle he became the greatest TNA wrestler. Angle (now coming out the Face Tunnel) says Desmond has overstayed his welcome and will be leaving TNA tonight. Tonight one on one Angle vs. Desmond in a Street Fight.

TNA Legends Championship: Eric Young vs. Bobby Lashley Steiner goes after Krystal Marshall and Bobby goes to help her. He knocks Steiner out and gets back in the ring. Steiner comes to the ring and hits Lashley with a chair for the DQ.
Eric Young is still in the ring and World Elite comes out sporting some new white track suits. The British Invasion has been suspended without pay for assaulting Slick Johnson last week. But it was Beer Moneys last shot so they just had to leave with the belts. Young says he just handed Lashley his first TNA defeat. He changes the Legends Title to the TNA Global Championship, stating he wont defend it on American soil or against an American. Kevin Nash comes out with a chair. Jack Swagger def. Primo Alicia Fox def. Kelly Kelly Zack Ryder def. Tyler Reks Cryme Tyme & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty & Mike Knox

Cryme Tyme & R-Truth def. The Hart Dynasty & Mike Knox (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Hart Dynasty and R-Truth may have stood together victorious as part of Team SmackDown at WWE Bragging Rights, but on WWE Superstars, Friday nights rapping Superstar denied David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd the opportunity to achieve victory again. For the last several weeks, Cryme Tyme and The Hart Dynasty have proven to be evenly matched, and it was the variable of their partners that tipped the scales in one teams favor on this time. In the end, Truths speed and agility were too much, allowing him to pick up the pin over Kidd and have his hand raised with Cryme Tyme.
Zack Ryder def. Tyler Reks (PHOTOS | WATCH) Though Ryder may have a loud mouth, there is no reason for him to quiet down after picking up a victory against a formidable opponent like Reks. In a battle between east and west coasts, it was the Long Island native who stood tall despite his opponent giving all he had. When Ryder set up for the Zack Attack, it was all over with Rekss lights being turned out and Zack getting the 1-2-3.
Alicia Fox def. Kelly Kelly (PHOTOS | WATCH) Unfortunately for Kelly Kelly, the smart, sexy and powerful Diva was unable to get a repeat of her success the week before with Alicia Fox taking home the win. Though Kelly fought with all her heart, Alicia was riding full throttle and had an answer for everything thrown her way. The Foxy Floridian capped it all off with a vicious scissor kick to her Raw rival and followed up with the pin leaving Kelly a bit worse for wear with a notch in the loss column.
Jack Swagger def. Primo (PHOTOS | WATCH) Since The All-American American promised to go undefeated through the rest of the year, he has been successful in singles action and continued on that same path this week with a win over Primo. It wasnt easy by any means, as the former Unified Tag Team Champion went at Swagger with a flurry of offense, but in the end, the two-time collegiate All-American was just too powerful for his opponent, connecting with a devastating Gutwrench Powerbomb to secure his triumph.
- Samoa Joe was fuming mad after Bound For Glory when some kind of barbecue for friends of his he had planned at the show didn't happen. Somehow the deal didn't go through and he was furious to the point where there was a chance he would have been sent home before the pay-per-view began.
- It is being said that Ken Anderson (Mr. Kennedy) is not involved in the Hulk Hogan/TNA deal and his main priority right now is trying to get an acting career going.
- Rob Van Dam is said to be looking for an easy schedule and good money and is open to wrestling again on those terms. RVD has an affiliation with Hogan and Eric Bischoff so him going to TNA seems more of a possibility than ever before.
- Even though he wants to wrestle again, Diamond Dallas Page has said that he doesn't have plans to go back to TNA or work on Hulk Hogan's Australian tour.
- Despite rumors going around, it is not expected that Steve Austin will have anything to do with TNA. Austin does not get along well with either Hulk Hogan or Eric Bischoff. In addition to that, his attitude is similar to The Rock where he is trying to stay as far away from wrestling as possible while pursuing an acting career.
- At this point, Ric Flair has not confirmed or denied involvement with the Hogan/TNA deal.
- Goldberg has made it clear that he is not interested in joining TNA as long as Vince Russo is around.
Word got out several days ago that TNA star Eric Young was about to undergo throat surgery. After today's operation, Jeremy Borash posted the following update on his Twitter account:
"Eric Young had successful surgery today and is home recovering. He will not miss any time from the ring."
- There has been a lot of concern lately within WWE that Edge wont return to the ring in time for Wrestlemania. His injury is one you really cant rush back from if its not 100% healed.
There are rumors of TNA Wrestling adding a second weekly television show to compete with Raw on Monday nights, but nothing has been confirmed. I'm told this is one of the first things that Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan want to accomplish as they feel to be perceived as a legitimate threat they have to get on cable TV on Monday nights. Eric Bischoff has been down this road before with WCW and obviously is hoping that history repeats itself.
WWE developmental talent Byron Saxton (real name Bryan Kelly) debuted as the newest member of WWE's announce team on tonight's edition of ECW on SyFy. Saxton, who is a former newscaster, has been doing commentary and managing wrestlers for the company's developmental promotion, Florida Championship Wrestling.
For the time being, Saxton and Josh Mathews will handle ECW broadcasts while Todd Grisham and Matt Striker will handle Friday Night SmackDown. The company had no choice but to make changes as a result of Jim Ross taking time off to deal with his most recent Bells Palsy attack.
Dean sent in the following notes tonight from the HSBC arena in Buffalo, NY:
DX, John Cena, and Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton, The Legacy, and The Big Show was the RAW dark match. Good match. Everyone left the ring leaving Orton w/ DX. Orton tried to shake hands and hugged Triple H. HBK hit the superkick for the win. DX did comedy at the end including a Triple H swine flu joke.
The rumor among wrestlers is that Hulk Hogan wanted Kevin Nash to be booker, but it doesn't appear there is anything to that. In fact, Nash is officially suspended from the next TV taping because of his going off script in the ring at the last taping.
According to PWInsider.com, there have indicated there have been at least preliminary discussions between TNA and Ric Flair as part of the same deal that brought Hulk Hogan and Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment into the company. Stay tuned.
Dave Meltzer is also reporting that Ric Flair's contract with Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment directly links Flair to whatever projects Hogan is working on.
TNA has been wanting to sign Flair ever since his retirement from WWE.
More announcements are expected so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
For the first time ever, TNA (or anything TNA-related for that matter) has become a trending topic on Twitter.
For those of you wondering why TNA would sign Hulk Hogan, now you know the reason. Hogan's name brings the kind of mainstream buzz that the company has needed for years.
Hulkamania is back, brother! The biggest name in professional wrestling has officially returned and is joining TNA Wrestling.
An announcement was made today by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City. Hulk Hogan is one of the worlds top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family, said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. Our goal is to become the biggest professional wrestling company in the world. Hell yes.
Hogans specific role in TNA has not been announced, but Im sure its going to be epic. The fact that Hulk gets to step back in the ring again with legends like Sting is enough reason to tune in each and every week. The possibility of Hogan getting face to face with Mick Foley for the first time will also be another obvious reason to watch.
Sheamus def. Shelton Benjamin ECW Champion Christian def. Yoshi Tatsu (ECW Championship Match)
ROCHESTER, N.Y. After a successful ECW Championship defense against Yoshi Tatsu, Christian is still the king of Extreme. But theres one Superstar who refuses to relinquish his ECW Title aspirations and will stop at nothing to achieve total domination William Regal.
ECW Champion Christian def. Yoshi Tatsu (ECW Championship Match) (PHOTOS | WATCH) Christian put his ECW Title on the line Tuesday night against one of the newest, brightest Superstars to recently join the Land of the Extreme Yoshi Tatsu. In the biggest match of his young career, the Japanese Superstar put up a competitive fight against Captain Charisma, who has said Tatsu is the most-deserving Superstar to fight for the Extreme gold. But Tatsus strong, high-energy effort wasnt enough to win the ECW Championship in his first title match against his experienced mentor. After a perfectly-timed Killswitch, Christian pinned Tatsu to retain the ECW Championship.
In a sportsmanlike act, Christian kneeled to help Tatsu up from the ring after their match, but they were quickly interrupted by an attack from William Regals associates, Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson. As Tatsu rose to help Christian, The Moscow Mauler brutally kicked the Japanese Superstar out of the ring, while Jackson continued his assault. Regal then entered the ring, snatching the ECW Championship from Christian, holding it high above his head as the Peeps in the Blue Cross Arena jeered at he and his Ruthless Roundtable.
The British Brawler has sent a strong message to Christian, ECW General Manager Tiffany and the entire WWE Universe: Hes determined to win the ECW Championship, and he and Kozlov and Jackson wont let anyone get in his way. Will Regal feel any repercussions for his bold actions this week? How will Tiffany react?
The Abraham Washington Show with Tiffany (PHOTOS | WATCH) The Abraham Washington Show featured a very special guest with an important message Tuesday night. ECW General Manager Tiffany joined the critically-acclaimed talk show to reinforce to WWE Universe that the New Superstar Initiative is in full effect and ECW is and will continue to be the place the see the brightest and most exciting young Superstars in WWE. The Diva also pointed out that many of the Superstars in Sundays WWE Bragging Rights, such as CM Punk, Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston, got their first big break in the Land of the Extreme.
But William Regal hasnt agreed with Tiffanys managerial skills lately. The British Brawler and his associates, Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson, interrupted The Abraham Washington Show this week, which further aggravated the General Manager.
I implore you, give me what I deserve, Regal demanded. Please, give me an ECW Championship Match.
But Tiffany stood her ground: Mr. Regal, you have asked me repeatedly and my answer has not changed. No! You are not getting an ECW Championship Match tonight. Perhaps you will never get another shot at the ECW Championship!
Sheamus def. Shelton Benjamin (PHOTOS | WATCH) One day after making his Raw debut, Sheamus returned to the Land of the Extreme to face his ECW rival, Shelton Benjamin. These two Superstars have been fighting for weeks, with Sheamus calling Benjamin mediocre and The Gold Standard referring to The Celtic Warrior as a coward. Benjamin wanted to give Sheamus a going away present Tuesday night, but instead, after a brutal, intense fast-paced match, the Irish Superstar left ECW for Raw with a victory.
Paul Burchill confronts Gregory Helms (WATCH) As Gregory Helms listened to Rosa Mendes chatter about her wonderful experiences as ECWs newest Diva, Paul and Katie Lea Burchill interrupted to confront the ECW backstage interviewer. The Ripper demanded that he meet him in the ring on the next ECW on Syfy, a challenge he accepted.
Welcome Byron Saxton ECW on Syfy introduced Byron Saxton to the WWE Universe Tuesday night. The newest member of the Tuesday night announce team joined Josh Mathews on commentary.
As reported this morning, WWE will be debuting a new opening video for Monday Night Raw on next week's show.
In an update, the new theme song for Raw will be "Burn it to the Ground" by Nickelback. The song is also featured on the front page of WWE's corporate website.
