WWE Raw SuperShow: Punk explodes on The Game
By: Greg Adkins September 12, 2011 Tags: WWE Raw SuperShow: September 12, 2011 OTTAWA, Ontario - CM Punk's "pipe bomb" may have been defused just six days before Night of Champions, but the situation between he and his opponent, Triple H, has grown more explosive than ever.
Triple H and CM Punk faced off before Night of Champions (WATCH |PHOTOS) Technical difficulties, audio problems, microphone malfunctions. Whatever you call it, CM Punk couldnt seem to get a word in edgewise as he and Triple H engaged in a combustible verbal confrontation. The Second City Saviors microphone suddenly shorted out just as he was about to express something hed been dying to say to The Game. The scenario was reminiscent of Punks now famous diatribe against Triple H, Mr. McMahon and WWE when his mic also quit in the run up to SummerSlam.
A livid Punk cast his suspicions on WWEs Chief Operating Officer, who had a working microphone in his hand. After watching one mic go belly up, The Game offered The Second City Savior his mic. Just as he revved up his verbal engine, though you guessed it the second mic failed on him as well. Triple H summoned a third mic from ringside and handed it over. Punk, however, used it to clobber The King of Kings before leaving the ring. While WWEs COO seethed inside the square circle, his antiestablishment rival scowled back at him from the entrance ramp. The very personal animus between Punk and Triple H, who must resign as COO if he loses Sunday, is primed to blow in a No Disqualification Match at Night of Champions.
Hugh Jackman to appear as special guest star on the WWE Raw Supershow next week (WATCH | WWE.COM EXCLUSIVE: SNEAK PEEK) Hes one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, and next week Hugh Jackman will debut in one of his most exciting roles to date as special guest star on the WWE Raw Supershow. The star of the upcoming sci-fi action film Real Steel, Jackman will get the party started just one day after Night of Champions.
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes def. World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in a Non-title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS) World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton has seen better days. The Viper entered into a rematch with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes hoping to gain momentum going into Night of Champions. Instead, any drive Orton may have felt came to an alarming halt. As he battled Rhodes in the non-title match, his Night of Champions opponent, Mark Henry, pulled up a chair and watched from atop the entrance ramp. During the bout, though, The Worlds Strongest Man began an ominous walk toward the ring. As the frightening figure drew closer, Orton took his eyes off the Intercontinental Champion, who cracked him in the skull with his face mask, causing The Viper to flatten on the canvas.
After Rhodes victory, Henry stalked into the ring and drove the steel chair upon which he was sitting onto Ortons back. He then snatched the World Heavyweight Champions title and held it aloft, vowing to capture it from Orton this Sunday.
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Vickie Guerrero (WATCH | PHOTOS) U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger could use a timeout. The petulant pair clashed as Dolph stood at ringside to support manager Vickie Guerrero in her match against Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. Unfortunately for Vickie, Swagger ran down and smacked his blond rival, distracting WWEs resident cougar. As a result, the Divas Champion made easy work of her rival.
After the chaos cleared, Beth Phoenix marched to the ring and attempted to level an unsuspecting Kelly. The Divas Champion, however, nailed her Night of Champions adversary before she could attack.
John Cena & Bret Hart def. WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez (WATCH | PHOTOS) WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio may be gutless, but hes not senseless. As he and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez faced off against John Cena & Bret Hart in a tag team match, The Mexican Aristocrat tucked tail and ran. Six days before facing Cena at Night of Champions, Del Rio tagged in Ricardo, who had entered the ring for his first-ever match, and scampered up the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, his hapless lackey suffered both an Attitude Adjustment and a painful Sharpshooter on his way to a team loss.
Jerry Lawler & Sheamus def. Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga (WATCH | PHOTOS) Since their defeat last week at the hands of Jerry The King Lawler & Zack Ryder, Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga have been eager for their rematch. That fervor turned to frustration after learning that Long Island Iced-Z could not compete thanks to Mark Henry, who rocked him on SmackDown. Instead, Lawler recruited someone less tan but a lot more intimidating: The Celtic Warrior. McGillicutty & Otunga were none too pleased when Sheamus emerged for the match and with good reason. The ferocious Irishman dominated the former WWE Tag Team Champions, helping secure the win for himself and Lawler.
The Miz def. WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston (WATCH | PHOTOS) The conspiracy continues at least in the warped minds of R-Truth and The Miz. The two continued to vent about the supposed mistreatment theyve received at the hands of WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H just before Miz entered the ring to tackle WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston. With just six days until they and their respective partners square off at Night of Champions, The Cleveland Screamer and the leader of the Boom Squad hit the mat for an intense bout. As the other half of Air Boom, Evan Bourne, and his squirrely counterpart, Truth, looked on from ringside, Miz conquered Kofi when he hit the Skull Crushing Finale, putting the champions on notice for Sunday.
John Morrison & Alex Riley def. U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger (WATCH | PHOTOS) Vickie Guerrero has her hands full. In addition to United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, WWEs resident cougar has recently been eyeing Jack Swagger as a client as well. Unfortunately for her, the two dont play well with others. When they were teamed in a tag match against John Morrison & Alex Riley, the mistrust and jealousy was apparent. As they quarreled with each other, A-Ry & JoMo were quick to take advantage and nail down a win.
Later in the evening, an irate Vickie screeched as SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long informed her that Ziggler must defend his title in a Fatal 4-Way Match at Night of Champions against Swagger, Morrison and Riley.
WWE COO Triple H arranged tag team match (WATCH) WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio is fond of referring to himself as the greatest of the great, but as everyone knows, actions speak louder than words. So when The Mexican Aristocrat began gushing about himself, yet again, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart decided to mercifully intervene. On behalf of his fellow Canadians, Hit Man informed Del Rio that a true champion fights his own battles and doesnt take advantage of an injured man. When Del Rio threatened Hart, his Night of Champions opponent, John Cena, thwarted his bravado. The moneyed Mexican then decided to arranged a match pitting Cena against Ricardo Rodriguez! The Cenation Commander-in-Chief then insisted Del Rio compete against Hart.
Before the situation devolved into chaos, Mr. John Laurinaitis intervened. The Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, on behalf of Triple H, arranged a tag team match pitting WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez against John Cena & Bret Hart.
Not only that, later in the night, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will also take on Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and Triple H will face off one last volatile time with CM Punk before their No Disqualification Match at Night of Champion.

Regarding his retirement, William Regal wrote the following on Twitter:
"Let me make this very clear.I have not once said that I'm going to retire.I've said I don't know how long I have left.Big difference.
Having had a decent brake from in ring I am feeling ready to go for a while. But the fact is that's down to two things. One is how long my body holds out and two is if people want me to wrestle."
John Laurinaitis issues a statement Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 09/10/2011 at 10:46 AM
WWEs website has a new storyline article up looking at why John Laurinaitis was in the limousine with Kevin Nash on Mondays RAW Supershow. Laurinaitis issued the following statement to WWEs website:
Kevin Nash is a friend of mine. We have a long history and Im the one who hired him. I think the circumstances of Kevins firing are unfortunate, but ultimately, I dont make the rules around here. [WWE Chief Operating Officer] Triple H does. As far as the conversation in that limo, as the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, I cannot disclose the nature of any private conversation with our talent in order to protect the integrity of the office. I respect the hell out of Kevin and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Gunner rips into internet wrestling fans Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 09/12/2011 at 12:26 PM
Gunner posted the following message on Twitter in response to criticism from fans:
"Amazing job from all Impact talent tonite! No Surrender was a success! SUCK IT DIRT SHEETS AND FAT COMPUTER MARKS AT HOME. Bobby Roode is one heck of a wrestler! Upset I lost tonite in the final 4 but my chances will rise again! I will claw my way back."
As we mentioned earlier, Former TNA wrestler Judas Mesias made his intentions clear that he wanted to face Sting's at the upcoming AAA pay per view. His wish has come true. He will be facing Sting in the upcoming Heroes Inmortales pay per view event.
Some websites have been reporting that TNA tag team The British Invasion are set to appear in AAA. This is not true at all. Only Magnus is scheduled to appear.
Abyss has been confirmed for the Heroes Inmortales pay per view
The following backstage segments were aired during AAA television hyping up both Sting, Abyss, Magnus and the upcoming pay per view. The videos contain racially charged words against certain hispanics ethnicities. Very strange that they would do this considering Konnan previously sued TNA citing racial discrimination. The both videos are in full english with spanish subtitles.

Bully Ray simply needed to win the match via pinfall or submission in order to continue in the series uncontested. The other three in the series would require a submission victory to pass Bully Ray if he lost. Bully Ray won by Disqualification and brought him to 52 pts. requiring the winner of the other BFG Series match to win by submission in order to tie with Bully Ray and stay alive in the series. The battle between Bobby Roode and Gunner resulted in Roode getting the submission victory and bringing him to 52 pts tying with Bully Ray. After Roodes win Bischoff dictated there will be a winner in the BFG Series tonight and created a match between Roode and Ray. In the newly added match, Bobby Roode defeated Bully Ray making him the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory in Philadelphia. Results from the No Surrender Pay-Per-View
-#1 Contender's Match: In a very exciting and fast paced match Jesse Sorensen defeated Kid Kash to obtain the #1 contendership for the X-Division Title.
-Bound for Glory Series: Ray did everything he could prevent the match from beginning. Storm continuously tried to gain the submission victory throughout and at one point Ray spit beer into the eyes of storm to temporarily blind him. After an intense match, Storm attempted to spit beer in his Rays face but instead spit in the referees face, which resulted in a disqualification win for Bully Ray (3 pts) putting him in First Place at 52 points and completely eliminating James Storm.
- Knockouts Championship: Winter defeated Mickie James to become the new Knockouts Champion! Angelina Love distracted Mickie James throughout the match, which also distracted the referee and allowed Winter to spit a mysterious red liquid in the face of Mickie James and helped Winter to get the pin and become the new Knockouts Champion.
- World Tag Team Championship: Anarquia and Hernandez retained the Tag Team Titles by defeating The Pope and Devon. Anarquia and Hernandez were joined by Rosita and Sarita at ringside. Both Rosita and Sarita attempted to distract throughout the hard fought match. Because of assistance from Sarita holding down Pope, Mexican America was able to get the pinfall and retain the Tag Titles.
-Matt Morgan defeated Samoa Joe. A heated match that involved absolutely brutal blows from both wrestlers. After taking Joe out with the Carbon Footprint Morgan got the pin fall victory.
-Bound for Glory Series: At the start, either contender needed a submission victory in order to stay alive in the BFG Series. After an epic battle that went back and forth, Roode was able to submit Gunner to get the submission win and gain 10 points to tie with Bully Ray at 52 points. Bischoff entered at the end of the match and created a new match between Bully Ray and Bobby Roode to settle the series to happen tonight.
-X Division Championship: Austin Aries dominated at the start of the match but Brian Kendrick would not back down and caused Aries to dive face first from the ring into the guardrail. After a very physical match Aries took out Kendrick with a brain buster that allowed for him to get the pin and become the new X Division Champion.
-Bound For Glory Series: (Newly added Match) Bully Ray used the same tactics he utilized early in the night with controlling the pace at the start of the match by going in and out of the ring. Roode seemed to be unaffected by Bully Rays chops and made his distaste for Bully Ray known which mentally got to Ray. Mind games continued between the two throughout the match. After Roode dropped a massive Spinebuster on Ray, Roode got the pin to become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title.
-World Heavyweight Championship: At the beginning of the match Anderson and Sting worked together to take apart Angle. With Angle out of the ring Sting and Anderson faced off. Angle came to and took out Anderson outside of the ring and went to face off with Sting until Anderson returned and it became every man for himself. After Hogan interferes and sprays Stings eyes with something, Angle is able to take out a disoriented Sting with and Angle Slam and get the pin to retain the World Title.

SmackDown results: Henry adds to his "Hall of Pain" MATCHES
By: Mitch Passero September 9, 2011 Tags: SmackDown: September 9, 2011 COLUMBUS, Ohio The list of broken bodies in Mark Henrys wake continues to grow. With just nine days until Night of Champions, Zack Ryder, Ezekiel Jackson and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton all felt the wrath of The Worlds Strongest Man.
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes (WATCH | PHOTOS) Once former Legacy allies, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes went to war in the nights main event. After countering the Cross Rhodes, Orton went on to drop the masked Superstar with an RKO for the win. But the action was far from over.
Similar to the close of last week's Steel Cage Match, the massive Mark Henry had Orton in his sights. This time, though, Orton decided to strike first. But The Worlds Strongest Man quickly fired back, driving Orton to the canvas with two Worlds Strongest Slams. Then after grabbing a steel chair, the No. 1 contender perched above the champion with his title in hand and Ortons throat preciously positioned under the chair. With the champion gasping for air, Henry clearly proved his dominance. But instead of inflicting more damage including breaking Orton's leg Henry said his main objective is the World Title. At Night of Champions, can he accomplish his ultimate goal? (PREVIEW)
WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston def. Jinder Mahal & The Great Khali (WATCH | PHOTOS) Still reeling after a high-powered offense from WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, Jinder Mahal took out his frustration by yelling at and smacking The Great Khali. Enraged by Mahals actions, Khali shoved him right into Kingston's Trouble in Paradise. After starring down at his fallen tag partner, Khali exited the ring. Even more flustered, Mahal shouted at The Punjabi Giant as he simply sauntered away from the ring.
Sheamus def. Wade Barrett by Disqualification (WATCH | PHOTOS) As Sheamus and Wade Barrett went toe-to-toe in a cutthroat bout, Christian came calling. His sneak attack on Sheamus resulted in an immediate disqualification. Then before he knew it, Sheamus found himself the victim of a 2-on-1 onslaught. But The Celtic Warrior battled back, dropping Barrett with a Brogue Kick. Christian appeared to be heading for a similar brutal end, but managed to escape the Celtic Cross and run from the ring. Sheamus drove Christian out of the ring (PHOTOS) Give him credit. Christian just wont give up. After he rattled off his latest list of complaints and declared he deserves one more World Heavyweight Championship Match, Sheamus interrupted. After The Celtic Warrior compared Christian to a mangy dog, he demanded he leave the ring. After sizing up his critic, Christian reluctantly obliged.
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Natalya (WATCH | PHOTOS) From the start, Natalya looked well on her way to victory over Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. But, the champion managed to counter a Sharpshooter and wrap up the Diva of Doom with small package for win. After the bell, Beth Phoenix tried to get her hands on Kelly Kelly, but the champion proved too quick and eluded her grasp.
Sin Cara def. Tyson Kidd (WATCH | PHOTOS) Displaying his continued aggressive style, Sin Cara got the pinfall over Tyson Kidd using a combination of athletic maneuvers off the ropes. When prompted by Josh Mathews for comments after the win, Sin Cara uttered his first words in WWE: Ever since I started here in the WWE, I've held back out of respect for the other people. Now that I'm here ... nobodys gonna stop me this style and this aggression, it's me... the real Sin Cara.
After Sin Caras words, Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Byran came to the ring looking for some retribution for being kicked in the head last week by the international sensation. But when he suggested a rematch next week, Sin Cara responded by locking him in his own signature move the LeBell Lock. As Sin Cara showed no remorse, it took WWE Official Charles Robinson to help break the hold.
Mark Henry def. Ezekiel Jackson (WATCH | PHOTOS) At a hulking 309 pounds, Ezekiel Jackson looked like he might be the man to finally stop Mark Henrys path of destruction. But the former Intercontinental Champion could not get the job done. Displaying his power and dominance, Henry sent the massive 300-pounder to the canvas with the Worlds Strongest Slam for the win.
Mark Henry inducted Zack Ryder into the Hall of Pain (WATCH | PHOTOS) When Zack Ryder, Assistant to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, refused to say he thought Henry would beat Orton at Night of Champions, he sensed he might be in trouble. But when Henry said that since he was forbidden from touching Orton hed have to put his hands on somebody Ryder knew he was in for pain. Trying his best to avoid the inevitable, Ryder struck first. But he proved no match for his larger foe, who demolished him with the Worlds Strongest Slam. (WATCH: Mark Henry's "Hall of Pain")

More On The Jeff Hardy Drug Trial Verdict, What Led To His Arrest And More
As we previously reported, Jeff Hardy pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of conspiracy to traffic in a substance containing opium.
Fayobserver.com is reporting the details that led to the arrest of Hardy back in 2009 just days after he finished his contractual obligations with the WWE. The raid on Hardy's house came after employees at the local Fayetteville FedEx distribution center contacted police about a suspicious package.
The package was sent to Hardy by a person labeled as "a fan in Florida," and contained a coffee can that was filled with 262 prescription hydrocodone painkillers. The story states that police resealed the package and had it delivered to Hardy's home, and the police raided the home when he accepted the package and found other drugs.
The report also notes that Jeff Hardy will indeed be required to go into a drug treatment facility.
the Southern Pines Pilot newspaper is reporting that Hardy's 10 days in jail will be arraged for a future date with Hardy's probation officer. Hardy was sentenced to ten days in jail and avoided an extended prison sentence as part of the agreement. Many assumed he would simply do the jail time immediately upon sentencing. One of the terms of the plea agreement pushed by Hardy's attorney was for Hardy to be permitted to travel out of the state in order to continue his work with TNA. Hardy has promised to the pilot newspaper an interview at a later date.
"I was taking classes and I was getting very serious about it. I was also sportscasting I was a sportscaster in Pittsburgh for Fox, just trying to get in front of the camera a little bit. Then pro wrestling came around and I took a shot at that, and I didnt realize I was going to become that good. I made a lot of money, thank God, and I stuck with it, but every time I had a movie where my name would come up for some reason, I wasnt allowed to do it due to scheduling reasons in the WWE. So with TNA, they give me the opportunity to go ahead and do movies and if it conflicts with the schedule they work around it. Its a much better situation for me. So I actually signed a new three-year deal today with TNA. Im going to stick with TNA."
TNA iMPACT Wrestling Results 09/08/11 By TheCrow Sep 8, 2011 - 11:31:29 PM
Report by Stuart Carapola & PWInsider.com
They kick off the show with a video package of various TNA wrestlers talking about Jeff Hardy's "demons" which, by the way, he got sentenced on earlier tonight, then another short video of the neverending, twisting and turning conflict involving Immortal, Ken Anderson, and Sting, and then we're off to the arena as Anderson makes his way to the ring. He says he made a deal with the devils, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, and tells the fans to boo him. They comply, but he says he's on the outside of Immortal looking in thanks to Bully Ray, and if they thought he was annoying before, he's going to be a royal pain in their asses now because he's coming after Kurt Angle tonight. Everybody forgot that he never cashed in his rematch and he's going to do that tonight, but he knows Immortal are going to interfere so he's got Sting to watch his back. Weren't they just feuding like a month or two ago? I honestly can't keep any of this straight anymore. Sting comes out and says he's wielding the power of the Network, who have given him the ability to call the shots tonight because he's going to be the guest referee for tonight's Angle-Anderson match.
Tonight, JEFF HARDY RETURNS...and a bunch of other stuff!!!
Let's head to the ring for our first match...
Devon & The Pope vs The British Invasion
This match is to determine Mexican America's challengers at No Surrender, and the British Invasion are already in the ring during Pope & Devon's entrance, which should tell you pretty much what's going to happen. Pope beats up Magnus and takes a shot at Williams, but Magnus takes the opening to boot him in the face and tag out to Williams. Williams works him over and then Magnus tags in and takes his head off with a clotheslines for 2. A top rope elbowdrop from Magnus gets 2, but Magnus misses a big boot and lays Williams out, allowing Pope to make the tag to Devon. Devon cleans house on both men and hitsa powerslam on Williams for 2, then Pope clotheslines Magnus to the floor and Devon hits a spinebuster on Williams for the win.
Winners: The Pope & Devon
Kurt Angle is backstage saying he'll believe Jeff Hardy's back when he sees it, then someone I believe is named Eddie Alvarez comes in to talk about his upcoming fight in Atlantic City. Kurt's really happy to see him, and they walk out together.
We're down to the final four in the Bound For Glory Series, and we'll see Bobby Roode (42 points) taking on Gunner (42 points) and Bully Ray (49 points) takes on James Storm (30 points) this weekend at No Surrender. But we'll get a preview of that match right now, as we go to the ring where all four participants are in the ring. Bubba takes the mic and kicks Jeremy Borash out of the ring, and says that he is a tag team god and is qualified to say that Beer Money will go down in history as one of the greatest tag teams not just in TNA, but all over the world. Bubba knows they both want to win the series and go on to win the title, but they won't admit it to each other because tag teams never look at each other and wonder how successful they could be by themselves. Hawk, Animal, Rick, Scott, and even he did it. He says Gunner will do whatever it takes to win the series and go on to win the World Title, but neither of them will do what's right for each other because wrestlers are selfish and neither will turn down the women and money. He's Bully Ray, he's from New York City, and he's the next World Champion.
Roode takes the microphone and says Bubba's right that Beer Money will go down as one of the greatest teams of all time, but he and Storm have their eyes set on becoming the World Champion because it's been both their dream since day one just like everyone in the back. Only one man can walk out of No Surrender as the challenger for the World Title, and he guarantees that whether it's Storm or himself, they'll both be there to share in the celebration because no matter what, nobody will ever come between them and nobody will ever kill Beer Money. Storm says he's sorry about their damn luck, and we'll see these guys face off in a four way match later tonight. Great promo!
Back to the ring...
TV Title Match: Eric Young vs Robbie E
Hopefully this will be painless. Robbie works Eric over until Eric fires up, pulls his pants down, and connects with a flying clothesline and a top rope elbowdrop for 2. Eric f'n SPIKES Robbie with a piledriver, and now is able to cover for 3.
Winner: Eric Young
Eric is celebrating when Rob Terry comes out of the back and attacks him, then gives him the Last Ride.
Rob Van Dam finds Jerry Lynn in the back and is angry that Lynn screwed him, and Lynn said he did it because it's always been about him and the phones are always ringing for him, and he only gets called to wrestle RVD because they know it'll be a good match. He had to get a job at a warehouse while RVD was being brought in here, and Hogan and Bischoff finally smartened him up. He knows he's better than RVD, to which RVD responds by laying him out and walking off.
Velvet Sky and Mickie James are backstage and Velvet congratulates Mickie on regaining the Knockouts Title and wonders what it would feel like around her waist, but before they can get too deep into that conversation, Karen Jarrett comes in for an inspection. She says it's like a pig sty back there and can't believe Mickie has her dog with her, and she says she made a Mickie-Winter rematch for No Surrender, and tells Velvet to lay off the cupcakes because her ass is getting too fat.
Jeff Hardy is backstage! And he's...WALKING!
Time for main event #1...
World Title Match: Kurt Angle vs Ken Anderson
As stated earlier, Sting is the special enforcer referee for this match. They feel each other out until Anderson comes off the ropes with a back elbow and then fires in with right hands to Angle. Anderson with a spinning neckbreaker for 2 and then rams Angle hard into the corner for another 2. Anderson charges Angle in the corner and Angle gets the boot up, then charges out and nails Anderson with a clothesline. Angle only gets a 1 off of that, but tries to wear Anderson down with a rear chinlock. Anderson fires elbows into the midsection of Angle, but Angle with a knee to the midsection and then goes back to that chinlock. They wipe each other out with a double clothesline, but get back to their feet and go toe to toe. Anderson wipes the champion out with a clothesline, but walks right into a bearhug and Angle pops him over his head into a release suplex. Anderson comes right back by scooping Angle into a fireman's carry and hit a Finlay Roll for 2, then he goes for the Mic Check but Angle escapes and hits one German suplex after another and covers for 2. Angle pulls the straps down and goes to the anklelock, but Anderson rolls through into a cradle for 2, then hits the Mic Check out of nowhere, but Angle manages to kick out at 2. Sting looks concerned at ringside as Anderson pulls Angle back to his feet, but Angle "accidentally" pokes the referee in the eye, then low blows Anderson and hits an Angle Slam. The referee goes to count, but Sting pulls him out of the ring to tell him what Angle did. Angle goes to the ropes to yell at Sting, but turns around and Anderson hits the Mic Check. Anderson goes for the cover, but Gunner runs in and nails him at 2 and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner by DQ: Ken Anderson
Okay, raise your hand if you didn't see that finish coming a mile away! Yeah, didn't think you would. All of Immortal, including hogan, comes down to the ring and they leave Anderson and Sting laying as Angle holds the title belt high.
We come back from commercial to rewatch what we just saw, then we go to the Immortal locker room where they apparently want to throw a party because they just perpetrated a beatdown. Bischoff kicks them all out because he can't hear what the person he's talking to on the phone is saying. They leave, and Bischoff acts angry at what he's hearing, so he probably wishes he hadn't kicked everyone out. Oh well, back to the ring.

I came up with all kinds of witty ways to describe the finish of that match for the headline, but none of them were really printable so I decided against it. But it's the thought that counts.
Austin Aries comes out and says that he's the #1 contender and Eric Bischoff's favorite X Division wrestler. Brian Kendrick may be all about love and harmony, but Kendrick doesn't practice what he preaches when he comes out to sneak attack Aries for taking his spot. Aries invites him out to the ring, and Kendrick comes out in a suit with his hair tied back and carrying a briefcase. Kendrick says he's out here enunciating and dressing for success like Aries, and success means that whoever dies with the most toys wins. He's received all kids of compliments today for cleaning up well and even wearing shoes. Kendrick asks the fans if they like this Brian Kendrick, and the fans boo, so he says that's fine because he can't stand the outfit and the materialistic world it represents. He's shed desire, and the god voice inside him is stronger than anything in existence. Aries says he doesn't know how many voices he's got in his head, but he wants that belt Kendrick just threw on the mat without any respect. Kendrick says it's just a material possession, and Aries responds by saying he's a fake, a phony, a fraud, and afraid. Kendrick says he's a peace loving man, then suckerpunches Aries again and sends him heading for the hills.
Hulk Hogan comes into the office backstage carrying on like such a moron that he makes John Cena look like Dan Severn, but Eric Bischoff is sitting on the couch looking unhappy because he just got a call from the Network and the title match this weekend is now a three way with Angle, Sting, and Anderson. Hogan says he can't do it and he's had enough with the Network because he's in control and he runs the company and this is not going to happen. Hogan's acting is so bad by this point that you almost can't help but laugh at his performances.
Jeff Hardy is still backstage, and he's...STILL WALKING! Well, that's a good sign this late in the show.
Mike and Taz run down the card for this weekend's PPV, and then we're off to the ring for our second main event!
Bully Ray vs James Storm vs Robert Roode vs Gunner
The bell rings and Samoa Joe comes marching down the ramp, no doubt meaning to do some damage, but Matt Morgan runs out and attacks him and they brawl around ringside as a four way melee breaks out in the ring with Beer Money each pairing off with a member of Immortal. They all take turns laying each other out with clotheslines, then Beer Money lay both of Immortal out with double clotheslines. They have a brief staredown before Bubba attacks them, and Gunner covers Roode for 2 only for Bubba to yell at him that he's supposed to win this match. Storm with a crossbody on Bubba for 2 and a running neckbreaker for 2 on Gunner. Roode with a Blockbuster to Bubba and a spinebuster to Gunner for 2. Roode dumps Bubba to the floor and Roode and Storm have another staredown before going after Gunner and hitting a double vertical suplex. They do BEER...MONEY! and turn around to Bubba laying them both out with a double clothesline and the Bubba Bomb on Roode, but Gunner suddenly dashes across the ring and hits a kneestrike to the face of Bubba and covers for the win.
Winner: Gunner
Gunner backs up the ramp looking very pleased with himself as Bubba collects himself off the mat.
Jeff Hardy is STILL backstage, and he's STILL W-A-L-K-I-N-G! And next, he'll use his walking skills to come out to the ring and talk, too!
Jeff Hardy comes out to the ring looking really embarrassed about something and thanks the fans for the reaction. He thanks the Network for letting him come out and says that he was pathetic and messed up the last time he was out there, and he let everybody down. He let himself down for not being the main eventer he knew he is, and the doubt when he walked into the building was overwhelming because he felt hated. Everyone in the back has every right to be mad at him, and he can't change what happened at Victory Road, but he can admit that he hit rock bottom that night. He stops for a long moment before continuing to say that he can't expect everyone to give him another chance, but all he can do is ask to give him one more shot. The fans chant "one more shot" as Hardy continues and says that all he can do is ask. He drops the mic and climbs out of the ring as teh fans chant "one more shot" again as we fade to black.
- Mason Ryan debuted a new theme song called "Last Days" on this past Thursday's WWE Superstars as he returned and defeated JTG. It appears WWE is going the babyface route with the former Nexus member.
On a related note, during his entrance on Superstars, Mason came out to the stage and turned his back to the crowd, raising his hands in the air as he looked up to the Titantron. A fan showed Chris Jericho this on Twitter, saying Ryan was stealing Jericho's entrance, and Jericho replied that Mason had "no respect."
WWE Star Wants a Title Shot Before He Retires Posted by Steve Carrier on 09/09/2011 at 11:09 AM
- SmackDown Superstar William Regal, who has been announcing and wrestling on NXT as of late, says he wants a World Heavyweight Title shot when WWE returns to Liverpool, England later this year. He wrote on Thursday:
"Trying to think if Teddy Long owes me a favour.I need to get a World Championship match on Smackdown on Liverpool. Maybe the last chance I have of becoming the first English World Champion in front of WWE's loyalist fans.
Some people are saying I'm passed it.Maybe so but @WWE,look at it as charity.Give an old rogue a chance."
Regal later re-tweeted a ton of feedback from fans supporting him getting a title shot and wrote:
"I normally never retweet about wrestling,WWE or me(I don't need to because I'm so over anyway)so sorry to everyone who it's driving mental. I just want @WWE to take notice.Give back to your loyalest fans(and purely selfish reasons as I want to be the first British World champ)."
At a live last November in the UK, Regal announced to the crowd that would be his last tour because he is retiring soon. Regal will apparently be sticking around long enough for this year's tour, probably longer. Regal is under contract to WWE until 2014 and in addition to his recent work on NXT, he has worked as an announcer in FCW.
