Black Monday is the name commonly given to the global, sudden, severe, and largely unexpected stock market crash on October 19, 1987.
Major world markets experienced a sharp decline in October 1987. Measured in USD markets declined by 20 to 46%
The severity of the crash sparked fears of extended economic instability or even a reprise of the Great Depression .
That day, exactly 34 years from now, I sadly experienced my first CRASH and lost 1/3 of my assets that week.

On Dec 10, we sold part of AKORN with a 11% return on less than 2 months.
Otherwise December was a month to forget.
Portfolio's overall return dropped to a lean +1%
This month we had a hard time to evaluate the markets. We couldn't find any bullish signal, nor a bearish one.
One day the markets were UP, the other day they were DOWN.

On 10 December we sold 50 of our 280 parts in AKORN at $41.39 in order to reshuffle the portfolio.
We made 11% profit in about 7 weeks.

British industrial equipment rental firm Ashtead Group Plc (AHT.L , ASHTF.PK) Wednesday said second-quarter profit before taxation was 141.7 million pounds, compared to 110.4 million pounds in the prior year.
Excluding amortization, pre-tax profit was 145.1 million pounds, while it totaled 112.8 million pounds in the prior year.
Earnings per share were 18.0 pence, in comparison with 13.9 pence last year.
Revenue increased to 529.4 million pounds from last year's 439.2 million pounds.
The Board increased the interim dividend by 33 percent to 3.0 pence per share from 2.25 pence per share in 2013. This will be paid on February 4, 2015 to shareholders on record on January 16, 2015.
Further, the firm said its strong performance continued in November. With both divisions performing well and the benefit of weaker sterling, the company now expects a full year result ahead of its previous expectations.
