Turnhout is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish province of Antwerp. It is famous as the world center of the playing card and is both legally and administratively the capital of the Kempen region and of the local district. It is also the economic and cultural center of its region wih more than 40 schools. There is also an important services sector with 2 hospitals, a 2 stage theatre and an 8 screen cinema.
Turnhout is host to the biannual comic festival Strip Turnhout, the oldest comic festival of Flanders, and one of the largest. Every year, there is also the film festival Open Doek. During the summer months, the "Vrij-dagen" are organised. For a certain period, every friday two artists or bands give a live performance. The event is completely free and attracts large crowds, strongly benefitting the local economy.

Baroque, intelligent, complex, fascinating and surprising are just some key words to describe Rubens style. The city of Antwerp is the Masters home base where you can admire his house, workshop and grave. Some fifty of his paintings and oil sketches are permanently on show. Most of them have never left the building they were originally made in centuries ago.
How old is Antwerp? Excavations have shown that people were already living in the bend of the River Scheldt as long ago as the Gallo-Roman period (2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.). The site must have been inhabited again around 650 during the Christianisation of the region. In 836 the Vikings destroyed this residential nucleus. Later people migrated towards the 'aanwerp', the alluvial mound at the height of the later Steen castle from which the city probably derives its name. Today's Antwerp developed from that original nucleus.
We are Ad-it. Ad-it comes from Advertise it. We ad-it invent and carry out promotional actions . The people who we would like to reach are small retailers who would like to mak promotion for there shop or who would like to have more reputation. We are with 11 students in 7 sales and we run Ad-it. We started this enterprise so that we can feel how it is to work and to earn your money. We started an market research for to see if people in and around Turnhout are interested in the concept of ad-it. This research was positive so we stared Ad-it up. In october last year. So what do we do we are thinking commercial actions for small retailers and we are exporting this for them. So small retailers who havent got enough time for to do small actions for there own shops they can in charge us. Now we are working for 5 shops. For an fashionshow. All this 5 shops liked the idea butt there was no time to organise is. So now Ad-it will do that for them. In the future we will have an order from our school for the open day.
