hi there, a few days ago i started on a challenge! make 25 scrapprojects without shopping for new materials! sounds hard, no? lucky for me i have loads and loads of stuff in my studio, but also lots of older paper, sometimes i even think: " did i buy that!?" but i'm starting to appreciate the older lines again, i've been freestyling, not my usaul style but i like to freestyle whenever i am mixing things from different companies and brands. normally i have to be aware of what i am putting on a project, as a freelancer for a few companies i have to seperate my supplies. but now, with my own challenge of 25 projects, totally for my own pleasure! i'm freestyling and mixing and it makes me happy! i also made a great memorybook for my friend's birthday! 30! i hope she likes pink haha! did go back to my usual stule of distressing and inking for this! so far i have finished 7 projects in about a week, not bad hé!
hi iedereen, een paar dagen geleden ben ik aan een challenge begonnen! maak 25 scrapprojecten zonder nieuwe spullen te gaan kopen! klinkt moeilijk? neen! ik heb natuurlijk het geluk van heeeel veeeel materialen in mijn atelier te hebben, maar ook veel ouder papier, soms denk ik:" heb ik dat ooit gekocht?!" maar ik begin ze weer te appreciëren, ik ben aan het freestylen gegaan, niet mijn gebruikelijke stijl maar ik freestyle graag als ik de verschillende merken mg mixen en mengen. normaal moet ik erg oppassen wat ik gebruik als ik scrap, als freelancer voor verschillende merken moet ik alles mooi gescheiden houden. maar nu, met mijn eigen challenge van 25 projecten, gewoon helemaal voor mijn eigen plezier! ben ik aan 't freestylen en mengen en ik wordt er helemaal gelukkig van! ik heb ook een mooi memoryboek gemaakt voor mijn vriendin haar verjaardag! 30! ik hoop dat ze roze leuk vindt! voor deze project ben ik wel terug naar mijn eigen stijl gegaan van distressing en inkten! tot nu toe heb ik 7 projecten klaar op bijna een week, niet slecht hé!

op dit moment kom ik helemaal gek van deze vervelende gips aan mijn been! maar ik heb al ontzettend veel kunnen scrappen dus dat is een goeie zaak moet ik maar denken!
hi people, i've been a bit absent, i know, but imagine two teenagers with exams, for my son, we are talking about his finals, so stress is an understatement! every year around exam time he gets ill, he honestly becomes ill with stress. This year he is holding up, but he is ever so crancky! the attitude i have to put up with! boy oh boy, i have to count to 10 about a 100 times a day and tell myself it will all be over at the end of this week! i don't get mad! but i will get even haha! really, i hope they both do well so they can enjoy a great Summer without the stress of redoing exams or doing holiday tasks, my daughter will be lucky though, she really had a bad year for French! so i am keeping my fingers crossed it will only be a holiday task for her! it has been a hard 2 weeks, teenagers studying, young ones playing and making noise, my workload far too heavy, my ankle still playing up so i needed to rest! more work coming in, me always saying "yes", as if i'm superwoman or something! new job offer hanging in the air, making me toss and turn at night, no specific holiday arrangements, ahhhhh i could go on!
but! i'm still a happy person, still on a creative roll and still enjoying every minute of it!
do you ever get up in the morning with the feeling: " i love my life, i am so lucky to have this life!"? i do! nearly every morning! and if i forget to feel happy i remind myself! try it some time!
strange day today, i met up with a few realities about people, some people at least! have you ever got the feeling that someone just doesn't feel good, that there are vibes telling you not to let some peoplinto your life, in any wa, not even from adistancei get these feelings, with some people and i know my feelings are right and i should let go and not even try to keep contact with these people, but then again, i always want to prove myself wrong, i want to believe that all people are good and have the best intentions in life, but how wrong i am then! my my my! why don't i just run a 100 miles as soon as i know inmy heart that someone is no good, i'm not saying they are bad people, just people i don't need in my life, people that have no part in me feeling happy.
today i was confronted with some people that have been nice in the face for some time, people ho i had my 'no' vibes with and refused to follow my feeling. today i found that these people are scared of me, scared of who i am, what i do, my creativity and abbilities frighten them so them have banned me from there little spot on internet with some lame excuse that i advertised myself at there expense, that i was impolite to others, others being people who are in the club of big spenders, those who are soft to social pressure and status by buying more than others to prove how good they must be anyway, even though i knew in my heart that these people were not true from the beginning, that they handled purely out of greed,using other people's good name and success to there own profit, i still felt shock to the way they handle, to the way they think they can mean anything in this world were only love and understanding rules
i let go of people like these, gladly and freely let go and i feel good about it
and i know i'm being very cyptic about all this, but who needs to know will know and i just want to make it clear that i never hold grudges, i love my life and i hope to meet many more loving people who are true to others and to themselves, this is a wonderful world with room for everyone it's a wonderful secor i work in, with room for genuine people with thier heads in the clouds but their feet on the ground!

yesterday i had a nose around a garage sale day in Henis, Tongeren, that's in Limburg, Belgium for those who don't know haha! anyway, i didn't buy much, just some old photographs somebody had found up in their attick, they didn't know who was in the pistures but they were old, i would guess around 1900- 1930, i collect old pics so i'm starting to recognize the times. today i made a layout for my demo album, the labum i carry around to fairs, demonstrations,... so it didn't matter that i took a total stranger to scrap with, and it was fun to do. i don't have pics that old of anyone in my family so now i had the chance to use someone elses family
materials used: black magic with green core, this is new cardstock by coredinations, find out more at www.kars.bizz, some K&company paper i had a long time, old butons,an old clasp of a coat, prima flowers, Prima stamps, they are soooo beautiful! distress inks by Tim Holtz, waterprog ink by Ranger, Grungeboard letters by Tim Holtz, a page from a book, a minisaftey pin, some leftover ribbon, a journaling square by Prima, blanding foam by Ranger, dubblesided tape, beige cardstock, glossy accents by Ranger working methode: first i sanded the black magic cardstock to give a rustic and worn feel to it, seeing that i'm using an old pic! i made background blocks with the K&c° paper, sraped the edges and applied some black soot distress ink, i distressed the edges of the pic too i crumbled up the journaling square really well to get some tear to it, then applied distress inks dtp, stamped an image onto beige cardstock and distressed with inks, layered everything and adhered using little pieces of dubblesided tape, i'll tell you why! i didn't want the pieces to be stuck done flat! i wanted it to look like they were simply lying on the layout so to speak, therefor i used just some tape to adhere loosly but firmly! i applied black soot distress ink to the flowers using blending foam by Ranger, i adhered the flowers and buttons with glossy accents, i know this sounds strange but the glossy acent is rteally a terrific adhesive! it wil glue almost anything and you only need a srop! and with the really fine tip it is so easy to apply! love this extra purpose for the accents! the clasp, i had to adhere with the glue gun because of the depth of the piece ah the grungeboard letters are inked using blending foam and peeled paint distress ink, no more to it, and adhered with glossy accents!
