Since this Tuesday I have a new mobile phone, a smartphone. For me it’s my first smartphone and I must say I actually like it. It’s like a new world that opened up for me. I bought a Huawei, it’s a Chinese telecommunication company. It is even the largest telecommunications equipment maker in the world since it took over Ericsson in 2012. The company is founded in 1987 and in the beginning it was only active in China, nearly ten years later they had their first success abroad, in Hong Kong. Today they are very active in Europe too with several big telecommunication companies as their customers. I didn’t know the brand but my girlfriend bought one of their mobile phones about a month ago and she was very enthusiastic about it so it convinced me to buy on too. I have the phone several days and till now I am very happy about it, the reason why I bought him was because of my girlfriend’s advice but also because of their payback-action. If you send them a piece of evidence that you bought the phone they will pay you 20€ back, so it’s actually a reduction of 20€ so that convinced me. I’m also not the type of guy who gives 300€ for a stupid phone.

Now back to my daily life, it will be a busy weekend because I have to finish my portfolio for English and I have to make my book presentation too. But tonight I will relax and go to a party in Dendermonde with some friends. And tomorrow it will be a day in function of school. Today I also went to Ghent for a group task for Communication and strategic marketing. For these classes we have to make a marketing plan and a strategic plan for a company and today we had a meeting with the owner of the company we have chosen. It was a pointless travel, the guy was in hospital because he had some heart problems and he had forgotten to inform us. That was a real pity!

Today my post is about music, something everyone likes. The way it can make you feel is amazing. There are so many different music genres and kinds that you can’t like them all. The music genres I like the most are very wide, I like energetic music like drum and bass but I also like country. From Netsky to Johnny Cash, what a difference will you think, I agree! But it depends on my mood. I don’t have a favorite artist but in each genre I have a few artist who I really admire because of their amazing music. One of the artists I really admire is Eddie Vedder, I really love the album he made for the movie ‘Into the wild’. Into the wild is based on a true story about a guy who just graduated and who can go to Harvard university but instead of going to university he donates all the money he has to a charity organization and he leaves America to explore the world, he wants to become one with nature. His goal is to reach Alaska, on his journey he meets a lot of new people. In the end he reaches Alaska and lives there in a bus for a few months. Then suddenly he becomes weaker and weaker and he dies. It’s actually a movie that makes me think of our society, because nowadays everybody is stressed and has to work hard. So one day I hope I will have the same experiences and journey as the guy in the movie.  And listening to the music of the movie makes me dream away each time. Now back to music, one of my favorite songs is ‘Feel the love’ from Rudimental ft John Newman, every time I hear this song it makes me crazy, every time I get like an energy boost and can’t sit still. That are the things that makes music special, if it creates a reaction. Enjoy music people!

It’s been a while since I have posted something here, so I think this a good moment. Like always on Monday I have a day off so I am planning to make some summaries and read in my English book. In this post I will talk about my weekend.  Beginning with Friday, then  I went for a drink with some mates, it was a long time ago so it was a nice time. Saturday I have helped my girlfriend moving out her apartment in Ghent, she leaves it after a dispute with her roommate. It’s actually a strange situation. I have helped her to remove her stuff and furniture’s from Ghent. Afterwards I have watched the cyclocross on the TV. Sven Nys won again after a very smart race, he defeated Niels Albert and Klaas Vantournhout in the sprint. After watching the race I went to Dendermonde to shop for new shoes and to order my new mobile phone. After half an hour me and my brother found a nice pair of shoes, so it wasn’t a long search. Then I order my new mobile phone, a Huawei, it will be my first smartphone so I am very excited about it. After ordering the mobile phone and buying a new pair of shoes my brother offered me and my mother a drink at the big market square in Dendermonde. Afterwards we returned home. In the evening I watched a few episodes from ‘De Kampioenen’ and fell asleep on the couch. Sunday I woke up with a terrible stomach ache, it was a terrible feeling so I felt bad all day. But I had to work on a group assignment and I hadn’t done a thing for it so I worked the whole afternoon on the assignment. In the evening my girlfriend came by and I went to bed early.
