In this blogpost I will tell you more about my citytrip with my mother. We travelled to Rome in January. We had vacation together because she is studying again. We went from Sunday to Wednesday. Four days were necessary to visit all the important things. We were very excited to see the capital of Italy and the Vatican City. It was the first time in this city fort the both of us. We already visited Venice a couple years ago and we loved it. On our first night we ate pasta next to our hotel, next to the Trevi Fountain. We went to the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo and the shopping street. We always had breakfast at the hotel. The next day we shopped, ate burgers and drank cocktails at the Hard Rock Cafe. We always go there when travelling. We saw the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Our hotel recommended to eat with the locals in Trastevere. We followed that advice and searched on Tuesday for a pizzeria. Also a little tradition is to get a flower ice cream at Amorino, so we did. We spent an entire day at the Vatican, but it was worth it. It was the most beautiful day of our trip. Make sure to buy tickets online in advance, not only for the Vatican. There are a lot of interesting package deals for the major things. There are also big discounts for students. On our last day we went to the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona. The weather in Rome was really nice. Most of the time we didn't need our coats.
