Gerard Arthur Way was born 9 april 1977. He's the frontman, the lead vocalist and the co-founder of the rockband My Chemical Romance.
Before he started a band, he worked in an comic industry in New York until the 9/11 attacks happened. This event changed Gerard Way a lot dramaticaly. Soon after that, he formed the band 'My Chemical Romance'. First song was 'Skylines and Turnstiles'. That song was inspired on Gerard Way's experience on 9/11.
