My team members and I read Macrowikinomics and especially the opportunities of crowdsourcing caught our attention.
Crowdsourcing is the outsourcing of a research task to a large group of people in the form of an open call. The papers we read explain in detail the goals for which crowdsourcing can be used and a lot of different methods for the practical implementation. But we noticed that most of the authors ignored the aspect of motivating people to participate in crowdsourcing. So as a team we decided to focus our presentation and paper on the following research question:
"What is the best way to attract people and motivate them to participate in crowdsourcing?
