Coach OutletAt the annual Rolling Thunder event in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Sarah Palin will kick off a

week-long tour of U.S. historical sites. She will be accompanied by her husband Todd and daughter Piper. “The tour will originate in Washington, D.C., and

will proceed north up the east coast,” reads a statement from her PAC. “More information will follow.”
Palin has no scheduled speeches or rallies, though there may be some events she’s already been invited to along the way that she will participate in,

according to Tim Crawford, her PAC treasurer. Luxury Coach Outlet“It’s a learning tour,” Crawford says,

“a tour of getting back to places that were key to the founding of this nation. There are a number of places from revolutionary war on that are significant

to our nations history in the northeast.”

The tour, combined with a forthcoming independently produced film about her tenure as Alaska’s governor, is sure to drum up speculation that Palin is

planning to run for President, something that would radically shakeup the current field of Republican contenders. She has always said that she would be an

unconventional candidate and the newly announced tour is certainly unconventional.hermes birkin One can

only imagine the mob scene when the bus, emblazoned with “Join the Fundamental Restoration of America,” pulls up to Gettysburg with hundreds of reporters

    in tow.

Crawford would not confirm any of stops aside from Rolling Thunder. But north of Washington, there are some very obvious sites of historical significance. A

few possibilities: Antietam in Maryland, Gettysburg in Pennsylvania, the site where Washington crossed the Delaware River, the Liberty Bell and Constitution

Hall in Philadelphia, the Boston Tea Party and – perhaps most important politically – Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where Paul Revere delivered his warning of

the coming British invasion. Nike outlet We’ll soon know whether Palin’s trip is also an indication of major

    changes to come.

Coach OutletEvery now and again, Disney pulls movies out of the marketplace and places them out of consumer reach in the vaunted "Disney Vault." On the surface, this makes no sense: Why would a company, which obviously makes money by selling products, make it impossible for customers to buy the products? But what this piece of marketing engineering really does is cook up instant consumer demand, giving Disney fans a compelling reason to buy—and buy right now—that otherwise wouldn't exist. Eric Felten, in the WSJ, writes about the "scarcely scarce scarcity" created by Disney's marketeers, explaining that "the dreaded vault isn't so much about creating excitement as it is about creating fear."replica coach outlet The idea is that fans of movies like "Snow White" and "Fantasia," which both went into the vault in April—but which you can borrow from Netflix, the local library, or, chances are, every one of your neighbors with kids—will be more likely to buy these movies if they're scared a time will come when (God forbid) they cannot buy these movies. At least until the new-new, freshly digitally remastered, freshly repriced edition comes out, of course. Felten aptly compares Disney's unpredictable DVD removal practices to experiments conducted on lab rats: cheap hermes birkinThe old behaviorists found that if a lab rat knew it would get a pellet every time it hit the lever, the rat would take his time, collecting his food only when he wanted it. But if the payoff was randomized and the rat didn't know which hit of the lever would deliver, the poor, anxious lab animal could be counted on to keep up a steady tattoo. cheap nike shoes storeHow ironic: Mickey Mouse treating us all like easily manipulated rats.

Coach OutletWith a title like L'Amour Fou, Pierre Thoretton's documentary about fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his life partner Pierre Berge promises a wild ride, a story of mad love. They had a relationship that endured throughout 50 years of glamorous living, business triumphs and failures, infidelities and Saint Laurent's drug and alcohol abuse as well as his chronic, often crippling depression. Arrows first flew, Berge tells us, at a fashion dinner in 1958; they soon moved in together, sharing homes until 1976, at which point a worn-out Berge retreated to a hotel just down the street. But they remained a couple in an emotional sense and married in a civil ceremony shortly before Saint Laurent's death in 2008. It was Berge who closed Saint Laurent's eyes for the last time. In short, there was plenty of mad and crazy love between them, but this melancholy documentary (in limited release) represents their partnership as a sort of still life: a thing quieted first by aging and then by absence. Whereas Italian fashion icon Valentino was larger than life in The Last Emperor, Matt Tyrnauer's jazzy 2009 documentary, Saint Laurent in L'Amour Fou is mostly a rather sweet and anguished ghost. Luxury Coach Outlet There are tantalizing glimpses of him — at 21, he drolly tells an interviewer that he's "not unhappy" with his first collection — but it doesn't feel like a full portrait. (This is the third Yves Saint Laurent documentary; two from 2002 concentrated on his career.) Thoretton focuses on the literal and figurative dismantling of the life Saint Laurent shared with Berge: an auction of their joint possessions. The central image that emerges is of Berge, who, having lived in the shadow of the fashion giant for five decades, steps out of it and walks sadly but resolutely away. (See a TIME video on Yves Saint Laurent's art collection.) hermes birkinWhile there is never any doubt about their bond, the mad love of Thoretton's title could also refer to the constant, fevered acquisition and adoration of beautiful objects. Whether in Marrakech, Morocco, on the Left Bank or in the French countryside, their homes were crammed with paintings, sculptures and vases. Busy as he was turning out two collections a year, Saint Laurent was also busy decorating: filling up spaces, creating moods within places (their country home paid homage to Marcel Proust, with rooms named for characters from Remembrance of Things Past). And he spent a lot of time languishing in them, Berge says, too depressed to entertain any of his glamorous friends (Andy Warhol, Catherine Deneuve and Mick Jagger all appear in archival footage, and Thoretton interviewed Saint Laurent's twin muses, Loulou de la Falaise and Betty Catroux). nike dunk shoesAs the camera pans over a tasteful library in Saint Laurent's Paris apartment, with Warhol's portraits of Saint Laurent peeking down from a high shelf, Berge says the designer was particularly fond of this room. "It offered him a little more privacy, away from all the masterpieces we owned," he explains. It's a real "Say what?" moment; while everyone knows money can't buy happiness, the notion that Saint Laurent, lover of beauty, needed a refuge from his more monumental possessions is startling. In his 2002 retirement speech, much of which is shown here in fuzzy black and white, Saint Laurent spoke of needing "aesthetic phantoms to live," of chasing, seeking and tracking them down — but he did not mention needing rooms in which to hide from them. L'Amour Fou makes you contemplate your own clutter with an eye to a yard sale. Whether it's a Brancusi sculpture looming over the living room or a stereo that works properly only half the time, ultimately it's all just stuff, right? When Thoretton pans over Saint Laurent's former bedroom or living room, tellingly, it's dull and flat, not nearly as interesting as vintage shots of angular Saint Laurent posing among objects. Coach Totes Bags The point he's making is clear, but he hammers it home with a few too many shots of crowded-but-empty rooms.

Coach OutletBetter learn how to pronounce this name: Grimsvotn. It could be the cause of much travel grief if the eruption continues. If Eyjafjallajokull were any example, Iceland's volcanoes have the power to disrupt the world travel scene. And yesterday, it appears the tiny nation's hidden volcanoes are at it again. This time, the culprit was Iceland's biggest and most active volcano, Grimsvotn. (PHOTOS: The eerie beauty of Iceland's volcanoes) The eruption began Saturday, shooting a plume of ash more than 12 miles into the sky. Scientists noted that it was Grimsvotn's largest eruption in more than 100 years. Luxury Coach Outlet And as its name notes (in English, at least), the fallout could be “grim” indeed. "(It was) much bigger and more intensive than Eyjafjallajokull," University of Iceland geophysicist Magnus Tumi Gudmundsson told the AP. However, a combination of factors could help mitigate this eruption as compared to the April 2010 blast at Eyjafjallajokull, which impacted travel plans for 10 million people worldwide. Gudmundsson says the ash is coarser than last year's, meaning it will dissipate and fall to the ground faster, leading to clearer skies quicker. hermes birkin He also noted the winds were not as strong as they were last April, so the ash is less likely to be blown for miles. Nonetheless, Iceland's main international airport, Keflavik, was shut down this morning amid fears that the ash might damage jets' engines. The halt grounded 11 airplanes in Iceland, affecting about 2,000 passengers. Nike outlet Authorities have set up a no-fly for 120 nautical miles in all directions of the eruption. Scientists are optimistic that the worst will be over in two or three days.

Coach SunglassesLos Angeles Lakers fans must have hoped that their team's implosio in the 2011 NBA playoffs during coach Phil Jackson's likely last season was the end of this year's Staples Center soap opera. As it turns out, that was wishful thinking. Now, suddenly, the Lakers' faithful are witness to a more bizarre melodrama. Their legendary Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has in recent days taken to Twitter and other media outlets to express his genuine displeasure that the Lakers have not yet erected a statue in his honor outside the Staples Center, where Magic Johnson, Jerry West and longtime Lakers announcer Chick Hearn are all bronzed, along with Wayne Gretzky and Oscar De La Hoya. (See TIME's Q&A with Abdul-Jabbar.) Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA's all-time leading scorer, has never been a charmer, and he would be the first to admit it. But his griping about the statue has already raised lots of eyebrows. Luxury Coach Outlet"I don't understand it," Abdul-Jabbar told the Sporting News regarding the statue issue. "It's either an oversight or they're taking me for granted. I'm not going to try to read people's minds, but it doesn't make me happy. It's definitely a slight." In a statement, Abdul-Jabbar later said, "I am highly offended by the total lack of acknowledgment of my contribution to Laker success. I guess being the linchpin for five world-championship teams is not considered significant enough in terms of being part of Laker history." Among the slights, says Abdul-Jabbar: he was forced to take a pay cut as a special assistant coach in 2009 while Jackson earned $12 million per year (a Lakers spokesman has said Abdul-Jabbar's responsibilities were reduced and that his salary was adjusted to reflect that). Former teammate Magic Johnson has been fully embraced by the Lakers.cheap hermes birkin He even became part owner, though he sold his share last year. Meanwhile, Abdul-Jabbar says he feels like an outsider. "They just treated me like I was some stranger," he tells TIME. On the flight back from Orlando after the Lakers won the 2009 NBA Finals, Jabbar, who is 7 ft. 2 in., says the team made him coil up in a small seat while there were roomier seats available in the area where players and other coaches were lounging. Many observers are not going to have much sympathy for Abdul-Jabbar, who can seem like yet another retired star clinging to glory days and starving for recognition while the world moves on without him. The Lakers have indicated that Abdul-Jabbar is next in line for a statue, though he says he heard that promise two years ago. But perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to kick the man. "It's not like I want a statue and I'm jumping up and down about that," says Abdul-Jabbar. "It's an accumulation of things. nike dunk shoesThe principle of not being recognized is something that can really burn." (See the top 10 U.S. sports strikes and lockouts.) In his six years as a special assistant coach, Abdul-Jabbar has received some credit for helping Lakers center Andrew Bynum develop into a low-post threat. And Abdul-Jabbar, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2009 — it's in remission — isn't some ex-jock who just sits around at card shows, trying to profit solely from his name. He's an established cultural figure, whose experiences encountering racism and subsequent conversion to Islam got people talking about race and religion.Coach Belts He has written six books, including several on African-American history, and has just produced a thoughtful documentary now available on Netflix, On the Shoulders of Giants, which tells the story of the Harlem Rens, a successful barnstorming all-black team from the 1930s. (And who could forget his immortal cameo as pilot Roger Murdoch in Airplane!? "Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes." )

Coach SunglassesIt is Wall Street's job to throw money at new companies, a Wall Street economist explained to me during the dotcom boom of a decade ago, when the valuations of IPOs were being questioned. We can report today that the Street, despite the dotcom bust and the real estate bust and the financial meltdown, has not only retained its moneychucking prowess but amped it, if LinkedIn is any measure. The social network for the professional set had already marked up its IPO to $45, the top end of the range, before it opened for trading today. The stock rocketed about 125% before your second cup of coffee as investors once again rushed the doors to try to buy what may or may not be the next great internet company. It's tempting to lump LinkedIn with those featured dotbombs of an era ago, Pets.com being the most famous. But remember, most of those outfits were profitless promises of future growth. LinkedIn has a solid track record. Sales have doubled every year. It has 100 million registered members. And good golly, it actually earned money in a couple of quarters. coach handbags outletBut that means the company trades at a p/e north of crazy, upwards of 1,000. Google's p/e, by comparison, is closer to 21. Some things did remain the same. LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner, who became a dotcom jillionaire, said the requisite, “I don't care about the stock price” the way a basketball player talks about “it was a team effort” after he scores 50 points. hermes birkin C'mon, Jeff, how about a little whoopee, or even, “Are those people nuts or what?” That's the question, of course: just how much are the social networking companies that are due to hit the market, including Groupon, ultimately worth? Are we headed for Dotcom II? In important ways the world is different now. A decade ago, everyone was still trying to figure out where this new technology called the Internet would take us. Although it was clear that a huge disintermediation was taking place, particularly in retailing, the speed of consumer adaptation was relatively slow.nike sb shoes We were wary, for instance, of making credit card purchases. Nobody had a smart phone. Amazon struggled mightily. Pets.com and Webvan—an early internet grocery delivery firm—flamed out. Today, of course, there are plenty of grocery and pet sites operating. Social networking sites didn't have to wait for Internet penetration to reach a critical mass. We all have smart phones. So investors don't have to guess as much as to whether these firms will catch on and thrive. Key metrics— registered users and page views—can be known by the minute. So investors have a much deeper knowledge about web companies today. Coach- Poppy CollectionsIt's arguably more rational that they would want to get a piece of the action. What never changes is the herd mentality. Whether that's in hula hoops or real estate or planking or social network stocks, everyone wants to be in on the hot item. That's why we end up throwing too much money at some many things, just like Wall Street always does.

Coach JewelryTake a development cycle of six years, ambitious and expensive MotionScan technology and shared responsibilities between Rockstar and Team Bondi. What do you get? One gigantic, city-sized gamble, in the form of L.A. Noire. But if the share price of Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive is any indication, it's a gamble that's paying off. (More on TIME.com: Arresting Development: 'L.A. Noire' Review) Observers who followed the development of Rockstar's latest game–myself included–knew that the interactive detective game presented a huge risk for the publisher and parent company. nike sb shoesRadically different game design than that seen in the Grand Theft Auto games and the new body language technology focused on making deduction possible meant that L.A. Noire was ripe for backlash. But reviews seem positive so far, with the game netting an average score of 90 on Metacritic. The positive reception apparently caused a jump in Take-Two's stock price, which started yesterday at $15.93/share and ended the day at $16.90/share. It hit a high of $17.24 yesterday, which is the highest it's been in the last six months. As someone who reviews games, it always strikes me as weird that aggregators like Metacritic hold sway over the financial fortunes of video game companies. hermes birkin bagThe last few months have shown negative stock price repercussions for Nintendo and THQ in the wake of the 3DS and Homefront launches, respectively. Over and over, you hear how compensation and shareholder sentiment swing in accordance with how well a game performs in the critical space. With the success of L.A. Noire, here's hoping that that Rockstar–and other game-making entities–keep taking creative risks. The results can be rewarding creatively–and financially, too.

Coach BootsEven in the best of times, Pakistan’s nuclear-weapons program warrants alarm. But these are perilous days. At a moment of unprecedented misgiving between Washington and Islamabad, new evidence suggests that Pakistan’s nuclear program is barreling ahead at a furious clip. According to new commercial-satellite imagery obtained exclusively by NEWSWEEK, Pakistan is aggressively accelerating construction at the Khushab nuclear site, about 140 miles south of Islamabad. The images, analysts say, prove Pakistan will soon have a fourth operational reactor, greatly expanding plutonium production for its nuclear-weapons program. “The buildup is remarkable,” says Paul Brannan of the Institute for Science and International Security. “And that nobody in the U.S. or in the Pakistani government says anything about this—especially in this day and age—is perplexing.” Unlike Iran, which has yet to produce highly enriched uranium, or North Korea, which has produced plutonium but still lacks any real weapons capability, Pakistan is significantly ramping up its nuclear-weapons program. luxury coachEric Edelman, undersecretary of defense in the George W. Bush administration, puts it bluntly: “You’re talking about Pakistan even potentially passing France at some point. That’s extraordinary.” Pakistani officials say the buildup is a response to the threat from India, which is spending $50 billion over the next five years on its military. “But to say it’s just an issue between just India and Pakistan is divorced from reality,” says former senator Sam Nunn, who co-chairs the Nuclear Threat Initiative. “The U.S. and Soviet Union went through 40 years of the Cold War and came out every time from dangerous situations with lessons learned. Pakistan and India have gone through some dangerous times, and they have learned some lessons. But not all of them. Today, deterrence has fundamentally changed. The whole globe has a stake in this. hermes birkin handbagsIt’s extremely dangerous.” It’s dangerous because Pakistan is also stockpiling fissile material, or bomb fuel. Since Islamabad can mine uranium on its own territory and has decades of enrichment know-how—beginning with the work of nuclear scientist A. Q. Khan—the potential for production is significant. Although the White House declined to comment, a senior U.S. congressional official who works on nuclear issues told NEWSWEEK that intelligence estimates suggest Pakistan has already developed enough fissile material to produce more than 100 warheads and manufacture between eight and 20 weapons a year. “There’s no question,” the official says, “it’s the fastest-growing program in the world.” What has leaders around the world especially worried is what’s popularly known as “loose nukes”—nuclear weapons or fissile material falling into the wrong hands. “There’s no transparency in how the fissile material is handled or transported,” says Mansoor Ijaz, who has played an active role in back-channel diplomacy between Islamabad and New Delhi. Coach Belts “And the amount—they have significant quantities—is what’s so alarming.”

coach factory outletWhen House Speaker John Boehner calls for trillions of dollars of spending cuts, the message is clear. Any deal to raise the federal debt ceiling must include significant savings in Social Security and Medicare benefits. Subsidizing the elderly is the biggest piece of federal spending (more than two-fifths of the total), but trimming benefits for well-off seniors isn’t just budget arithmetic. It’s also the right thing to do. I have been urging higher eligibility ages and more means-testing for Social Security and Medicare for so long that I forget that many Americans still accept the outdated and propagandistic notion that old age automatically impoverishes people. Asks one reader: Who are these “well-off” elderly you keep writing about? The suggestion is that they are figments of my imagination, invented to justify harsh cutbacks in Social Security and Medicare on the needy. Just the opposite. Nike outletWe see every day that many people in their 60s and older live comfortably — and still would if they received a little less in Social Security and paid a little more for Medicare. The trouble is that what’s intuitively obvious becomes lost in the political debate; it’s overwhelmed by selective and self-serving statistics that cast almost everyone over 65 as being on the edge of insolvency. The result: Government over-subsidizes the affluent elderly. It transfers resources from the struggling young to the secure old. To correct the stereotype, consult a government publication called “Older Americans 2010, Key Indicators of Well-Being.” It reminds us that Americans live longer and have gotten healthier. luxury coachIn 1930, life expectancy was 59.2 years at birth and 12.2 years at 65; in 2006, those figures were 77.7 and 18.5. Since 1981, death rates for heart disease and stroke have fallen by half for those 65 and over. In this population, about three-quarters rate their own health as “good” or “excellent.” hermes birkin“Most older people are enjoying greater prosperity than any previous generation,” the report says. Consider: l From 1959 to 2007, the proportion of the 65-plus population with incomes under the government’s poverty line ($12,968 for a couple in 2009) dropped from 35.2 percent to 9.7 percent, which was half the poverty rate for children under 18 (18 percent). l  The proportion of elderly living in the “high income” group — defined as four times the poverty line, or almost $52,000 for a couple in 2009 — rose from 18.4 percent in 1980 to 30.6 percent in 2007. l  In 2007, the median net worth (that is, assets minus debts) of 65-plus households was $237,000, about twice the amount for households aged 45 to 54. Among 65-plus married couples, median net worth was $385,000. Coach BeltsIndeed, half the nation’s wealth is owned by people 55 and older (a third of the adult population), report Eugene Steuerle and Stephanie Rennane of the Urban Institute. The old feel more secure. The National Opinion Research Center regularly surveys Americans about their financial “satisfaction.” In 2010, 82 percent of those 65 and over said they were “satisfied” or “more or less” satisfied. For those under 65, the comparable figure was 66 percent.

nike dunk shoesDivorce is often nasty but once in a while, the details of a particular breakup grab ahold of the soul and won't let go. One such case involves Alaina Giordano, a mother of two who is battling Stage 4 breast cancer. On April 25 Giordano lost custody of her children, when a judge ruled that they would need to relocate from their Durham, N.C., to live with their father in Chicago by June 17 because, essentially, the judge said, a healthy dad is better than a sick mom. Giordano was stunned. She had expected an open-and-shut case. Quickly, an elementary-school friend leaped into action, slapping up a Facebook page that he hoped would spread the word and help Giordano attract a pro bono lawyer who could challenge Judge Nancy Gordon's ruling. She's seeking an altruistic attorney because Giordano doesn't earn an income — she's a stay-at-home mom (SAHM, natch), the toughest of jobs — a fact that was used against her in the custody battle, igniting a wave of support from fellow SAHMers. (More on TIME.com: Should a Mother Lose Custody of Her Kids Because She Has Cancer?) Concern over Giordano's health was also a primary issue in the custody battle.coach factory outlet Her cancer was diagnosed in 2007, about six months before she moved with her family to Durham so that her husband, Kane Snyder, could study for his M.B.A. at Duke University. The cancer has since metastasized to her bones, which is hardly a good thing. But her treatment regimen is keeping the disease at bay; she says it is not actively spreading. And it's anyone's guess how long she'll live. In the meantime, she says she's able to parent and, if her recent media schedule is any gauge, rival the stamina of a triathlete. On Wednesday, Giordano was in New York City for a publicity blitz. She awoke at 5 a.m. to arrive at the Today show set with her kids, 11-year-old Sofia and 5-year-old Bud. She did her interview; her kids met Matt Lauer. luxury coachAfterward, she knocked out another few interviews, including The Gayle King Show and CNN, where they ran into Michelle Obama's brother and Anderson Cooper. Then there was lunch with Giordano's cousin and dinner with the kids at the Hard Rock Cafe (the haunted Jekyll and Hyde Club having proved too spooky for Bud). They gallivanted through Central Park and finished the day in the audience of "The Addams Family," a Broadway musical. "I'm totally functional," says Giordano. (More on TIME.com: What We Can Learn from the Schwarzenegger-Shriver Split) As she waited with her kids for her return flight to North Carolina, Giordano spoke with Healthland about fighting — for her life, but mostly for her children. (Kane Snyder was also asked to comment for this post, but he did not return emails or phone calls.) Healthland: How much do your children know about what's going on? Giordano: They know there was a court case and I had to tell them the judge said they have to move. I told them the night of the ruling. I was still in shock at that point. I tried to be matter-of-fact. cheap hermes birkinI did say I wanted them to stay with me, but the judge ruled otherwise. My daughter can be a bit stoic, like me, but when it was just me and her, she started screaming, crying. She didn't get out of bed, didn't want to leave the apartment. My son has been very anxious. He doesn't want to let me out of his sight. He sleeps with me. They know that when someone forces you to do something, that's not love. Healthland: What kind of relationship do your children have with their father? Giordano: He's their dad, and I do my best to be honest with them but also be protective of their relationship with him. They love their dad. When my son says, "Daddy hates you and you hate Daddy," I say, "I don't hate your dad, but I'm not happy with his behavior." Healthland: Does he visit frequently? Giordano: I can't really say how often. He came to visit for one night in February, one night in March, and the judge ordered [the kids] go there for spring break, so they did. There were about eight weeks in the fall when he didn't come to see them. Healthland: What did you do before your kids were born? Giordano: I worked as a paralegal in Philadelphia. Coach Earrings [Snyder] was a waiter. I took the LSAT but when I had kids I stayed home, and he was finishing his undergraduate degree and working. In Aug. 2005, he became a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers so he was away a lot. ... I went on every [school] field trip. I was the room mother. My kids always came first. Healthland: It seems like there must be something else going on in addition to your illness to warrant a custody decision like this. There are allegations of cheating and abuse. What's going on there? Giordano: I admitted my cheating. He won't admit his. In North Carolina, if there is an affair you don't get alimony so he has really gone after me on that. ... It's always been an abusive relationship. There is documentation. I had a witness testify that she saw him physically assault me in front of my son. Coach Jewelry The judge heard that, then wrote there was no domestic violence that qualified under whatever statute it was.

nike dunk shoesAcross the South and lower Midwest, floodwaters have covered about 3 million acres of farmland, eroding for many farmers what could have been a profitable year for corn, wheat, rice and cotton, officials said Thursday. In Arkansas, the Farm Bureau estimated that damage to the state's agriculture could top more than $500 million as more than 1 million acres of cropland are under water. "It's in about 10 feet of water," Dyersburg, Tennessee, farmer Jimmy Moody said of his 440 acres of winter wheat, which was to be harvested in the coming month. coach factory outletOther farmers in Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas rushed to salvage what wheat they could ahead of the rising water. As for corn, farmers who were able to get into the fields during a soggy planting season in late March and April are seeing their crops in some cases under several feet of water. Farms near and on the Mississippi River are no strangers to flooding, but the 2011 flood is definitely one for the record books. "This is new water that has reached areas for the first time in 75 years," said Lee Maddox of the Tennessee Farm Bureau. Of course, the flooding is covering more than farmland. replica coach handbagsIn Louisiana alone, Gov. Bobby Jindal said, as many as 3 million acres -- of farms, forests and towns -- could be affected. In Mississippi, 600,000 acres of farmland are only part of 1.4 million acres likely to be flooded, said Andy Prosser of the state's Department of Agriculture and Commerce. With the overflowing Mississippi River bearing down on New Orleans, where the water level was already at flood stage, the Army Corps of Engineers said Thursday that it was opening more bays at the Bonnet Carre Spillway. Another 113 bays were being opened, bringing the total to 223 open bays, authorities said. The 350-bay spillway, just north of New Orleans, diverts water into Lake Pontchartrain. The National Weather Service said that as of Thursday afternoon, the river was at 17.13 feet in New Orleans, about an inch and a half above flood stage. It is expected to crest on May 23 at more than 19 feet. hermes birkin"Nobody can wrap their heads around what's going to happen," said Caroline George of Baton Rouge. In a CNN iReport from her hometown, where the 19-year-old is on summer break from college, she said, "I've never seen the river anywhere near where it is now." The floodwaters that have inundated tens of thousands of acres of Missouri farmland and lapped at downtown Memphis, Tennessee, are on a steady, soggy march through Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana, bringing damage and devastation to some areas. In Memphis, which endured a record river crest this week, flooding affected between 800 and 1,000 properties, said Steve Schuler of the local emergency management agency. Many small businesses and farms were affected in Shelby County, and the river level was still high Thursday, he said. Rain moved into the area Thursday night, according to county officials, and Shelby residents were being reminded about five shelters. Coach Scarves"Many people who chose to stay in their homes during the flood are now surrounded by floodwater and are in need of food and other supplies," the Shelby County Emergency Operations Center said.

Coach SunglassesThe echoes were unmistakable. On April 24, 1980, President Jimmy Carter sent eight helicopters to rescue the 52 Americans held captive at the U.S. Embassy in Iran. One crashed en route; one turned back; one malfunctioned. Spooked, Carter decided to cut his losses and abort the mission—but not before one of the remaining choppers sliced into a transport plane, igniting a blaze that killed eight servicemen. Carter’s presidency never recovered. For a brief, anxious moment, President Obama’s national-security team, gathered in the West Wing on May 1, suffered a sickening sense of déjà vu. As the helicopter carrying a team of Navy SEALs dipped behind the high concrete walls of Osama bin Laden’s headquarters in Abbottabad, Pakistan, it sputtered, then stalled. The moment was “indescribably tense,” a White House official tells NEWSWEEK—not only for the soldiers, who were about to enter enemy territory without a clear exit strategy, but for President Obama himself, who had ordered up the risky mission, forgoing safer options. replica coach handbagsThe entire Situation Room was thinking the same thing: is this Iran all over again? By now, the whole world knows it wasn’t; the commandos landed and got their man. It was a stunning success that will likely end the comparisons to the Georgia Democrat that conservatives have been leveling at Obama since 2008, when they first started calling him a “Carteresque rerun” (The Washington Times) who is “tough on America’s allies and soft on its enemies” (National Review). nike sb shoesThe question now, however, is whether “one of the…gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory,” as U.S. counterterrorism chief John Brennan characterized the mission, will help Obama avoid Carter’s larger fate as well: a one-term presidency that petered out when a tough-talking Republican insurgent convinced voters that their commander in chief was too weak to lead. The early evidence suggests that bin Laden’s death is improving public opinion of Obama. A NEWSWEEK/DAILY BEAST survey found no immediate bump, but other polls have him on the upswing. And the president’s numbers were likely to rise further after his scheduled May 5 appearance at Ground Zero—a reprise of the bullhorn address that united the country behind George W. Bush in the days after the towers fell. But ultimately, Abbottabad alone cannot create a renewed sense of purpose among Americans or ensure Obama’s reelection. In a week or two, voters will go back to fretting about unemployment and the national debt. For that reason, bin Laden’s demise is best understood as an opportunity for Obama—an opportunity to regain control of the national conversation, strengthen his hand in preparation for 2012, and bring the country together. If he seizes it, and if a new terrorist attack doesn’t change the game yet again, the Abbottabad raid could become the defining moment of his presidency. “Throughout history there have been pivot points for presidents, from Truman ’s Berlin Airlift in 1948 to Bush after 9/11,” says historian Douglas Brinkley. Coach Shoulder Bags“Americans have always liked Obama, but they never knew whether he was a real commander in chief. Now they do.”

cheap nike shoes storeNo magic football helmet can prevent players from sustaining concussions. But thanks to new research out of Virginia Tech, football players, and their parents, now know which equipment could reduce the risks. Over the past decade, the Virginia Tech researchers have compiled data from more than a million head impacts at Virginia Tech football practices and games. From these statistics, scientists were able to specify the speeds and tackling angles that would most likely to lead to concussions. (More on TIME.com: Fan Rage: How Home Team Losses Contribute to Domestic Violence) The scientists tested the safety features of 10 different helmet models, measuring the accelerations, at impact, when the helmets were sped from these multiple distances and angles. Coach JewelryThe data yielded an overall STAR value — Summation of Tests for the Analysis of Risk — for each helmet. Taking these values, the Virginia Tech researchers created a ranking system: the safest helmet, the Riddell Revolution Speed, was assigned five stars — the top grade — and the least safe helmet, the Adams A2000 Pro Elite, was slapped with the label NR: Not Recommended. A paper describing Virginia Tech's methodology will be published in the Annals of Biomedical Engineering. This important work could shake up the helmet market. Luxury Coach Outlet"For the first time, consumers can go to a website and see which helmets have the best chance to reduce the risk of a concussion," says Stefan Duma, a professor of biomedical engineering at Virginia Tech and head of the Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences. The problem of concussion exists at every level of football, threatening players who sustain multiple hits with long-term brain injury. Recent studies of retired pro football players have shown that a history of concussion can lead to dementia-like brain damage associated with depression, suicidal tendencies and memory loss. Studies of former NFL players also show that they are at significantly higher risk of Alzheimer's than the rest of the population. (More on TIME.com: Football Searches for the Cause of Another Tragedy) Better helmets could mean less risk of concussion and brain damage. hermes birkin handbagsThe 10 helmets rated by the Virginia Tech researchers were as follows: Five Stars: Best Available • Riddell Revolution Speed Four Stars: Very Good • Schutt ION 4D • Schutt DNA Pro + • Xenith X1 • Riddell Revolution • Riddell Revolution IQ Three Stars: Good • Schutt Air XP Two Stars: Adequate • Schutt Air Advantage One Star: Marginal • Riddell VSR4 NR: Not Recommended • Adams A2000 Pro Elite Coach New ArrivalsPrice was by no means the strongest predictor of safety. The Adams A2000 Pro Elite, with an NR rating, costs $199.95, while the four-star Riddell Revolution and Schutt DNA Pro + cost $182.99 and $169.95, respectively.

nike dunk shoesPakistan will allow the United States to question or take into custody the apparent wives of Osama bin Laden only if their "country of origin has been asked for permission," a senior Pakistani intelligence source told CNN on Monday. Pakistani officials have said bin Laden's family members will be repatriated to their home countries after initial interrogations. One of bin Laden's wives is from Yemen, the official said, while a well-placed U.S. official who would not speak on the record said the other two are from Saudi Arabia. All three were taken into Pakistani custody after the May 2 raid by U.S. commandos that killed bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda terrorist movement. The raid succeeded in scratching the man behind the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington off the U.S. most-wanted list, but it has strained ties with a key American ally in the battle against al Qaeda and the Taliban. The 29-year-old Yemeni wife, Amal Ahmed Abdulfattah, was wounded during the raid. coach factory outlet The U.S. official identified the other two women as Khairiah Sabar, also known as "Umm Hamza," and Siham Sabar, or "Umm Khalid." The official identified the other men killed in the raid as bin Laden's son Khalid; two couriers, known around the town of Abbottabad by the aliases Arshad Khan and Tariq Khan. The official would not provide their real names. The wife of one of the couriers also died, the official said. In Pakistan's parliament Monday, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani rejected allegations that his government had failed to adequately pursue the world's most -wanted terrorist.hermes birkin While calling bin Laden's death "justice done," Gilani repeatedly assailed U.S. violation of Pakistani "sovereignty" in conducting the operation without Pakistan's knowledge or involvement. "Allegations of complicity or incompetence are absurd," Gilani said. "We emphatically reject such accusations. Speculative narratives in the public domain are meant to create despondency. We will not allow our detractors to succeed in offloading their own shortcomings and errors of omission and commission in a blame game that stigmatizes Pakistan." Bin Laden was found in a compound in Abbottabad, a city with a heavy military presence about 50 km (31 miles) from Islamabad. That has led several U.S. officials to question whether some within the Pakistani government or military helped shield bin Laden or failed to look for him. Gilani said Pakistan "attaches high importance" to its relations with the United States. But in a fiery speech frequently interrupted by applause from some lawmakers, he added, "Unilateralism runs the inherent risk of serious consequences." The prime minister insisted that Pakistan's response to the sudden arrival of U.S. forces deep within its territory in the nighttime operation deserves praise. "The air force was ordered to scramble," he said. "Ground units arrived at the scene quickly. Our response demonstrates that our armed forces reacted, as was expected of them."coach outlet Still, he added, "there is no denying the U.S. technological ability to evade our radars." And in an apparent reference to longtime rival India, Gilani said, "No one should underestimate the resolve and capability of our nation and armed forces to defend our sacred homeland." Gilani spoke as Pakistani news reports raised the possibility that a top CIA officer's identity had been disclosed. Pakistani news outlets Monday named a man they identified as the CIA station chief there, but a senior Pakistani intelligence official said the name was inaccurate and he did not know where it came from. "If we were going to release the name, we would release the right one," the official said. A senior U.S. official with knowledge of the matter said that if the report were true, identifying a CIA officer "crosses a red line in intelligence protocol." The CIA would not comment on the issue. But a U.S. official said there is "no current plan to bring home the current chief of station" in Pakistan. "The current CIA station chief is a true pro, someone who knows how to work well with foreign partners and is looking to strengthen cooperation with Pakistani intelligence," the official said. Pakistani armed forces chiefs issued a statement last week admitting "shortcomings in developing intelligence" on the terrorist leader's presence in the country.Coach Scarves Dozens of people in Abbottabad have been arrested because of their suspected connections to the compound where bin Laden was shot and killed, a Pakistani intelligence official said last week, and investigators want to know whether any of the people are al Qaeda members or sympathizers.

cheap nike shoes storeLAGOS, NIGERIA– I’m in Lagos to speak at an event and decided to come a week early to check out the country’s tech and entrepreneurship scene. Apparently Arrington thought I was kidding when I told him this. But he should know by now, I don’t need a lot of arm twisting to visit a country of 150 million people chaotically surging into modernity. Where there’s that much opportunity, there’s always entrepreneurship. Nigeria has fascinated me for the last few years: It has the largest population of any country in Africa. It has abundant natural resources, most notably oil. And it has a ton of potential outside of oil. According to the World Bank the non-oil economy has grown at 8% per year for most of the last decade. The problem is employment hasn’t budged and the country has fifty million unemployed young people. Those are the official figures, but people in the country tell me it’s actually much higher than that.Coach Handbags That helps explain why Nigeria is more known in the West for 419 email scams than its vast economic potential. Simply put: Nigeria is a nation desperate for more entrepreneurship, but there are some significant challenges for local entrepreneurs and foreign investors. More on the good and the bad in a future post. A lot more. One story includes guys with machetes. But let’s talk about Nigeria’s tech appetite first. Like anyone else they lust for that new, new thing, and many of them go to a place called “Computer Village” to find it. It’s the Nigerian answer to Shenzhen’s SEG Electronics Market, a crammed, multistory building that holds booths and booths of nearly any component and hardware knock-off you can imagine. SEG is simultaneously thrilling and horrifying for techies, summing up why China is so central to the Valley’s modern gadget boom and why its low-cost, copy-cat goods are such a threat at the same time. hermes birkin handbagsYou know you are getting close to SEG, because the street hawkers stop pitching you massages and start offering up illicit copies of Windows. In Lagos, we could tell we were getting close to Computer Village because of the rows of parked trucks of busted out boom-boxes, televisions and other has- been electronics being fixed and rehabed for parts. Hawkers try to get your attention with a sound that’s a combination of a kissing-noise and a hissing noise. It surrounds you as you walk through Computer Village, making you feel like you’re either walking past a rowdy construction site or a den of snake charmers. That’s a good way to describe the sales tactics too. Nigerian tech entrepreneurs I’ve spoken with this week have complained that many of the developers who apply for jobs are too book-trained; that they lack that raw creative problem solving or “jugaad” as the Indians call it. Coach Kristin CollectionsJugaad is core to what makes startups able to thrive within constraints and outperform giants. And as you’ll see from the photos below, it’s on full-display in Computer Village.

nike dunk shoesThere has rarely been a starker juxtaposition of evil and innocence than the moment President George W. Bush received the news about 9/11 while reading The Pet Goat with second-graders in Sarasota, Fla. Seven-year-olds can't understand what Islamic terrorism is all about. But they know when an adult's face is telling them something is wrong — and none of the students sitting in Sandra Kay Daniels' class at Emma E. Booker Elementary School that morning can forget the devastating change in Bush's expression when White House chief of staff Andrew Card whispered the terrible news of the al-Qaeda attack. Lazaro Dubrocq's heart started racing because he assumed they were all in trouble — with no less than the Commander in Chief — but he wasn't sure why. " hermes birkinIn a heartbeat, he leaned back and he looked flabbergasted, shocked, horrified," recalls Dubrocq, now 17. "I was baffled. I mean, did we read something wrong? Was he mad or disappointed in us?" (See pictures of people celebrating Osama bin Laden's death.) Similar fears started running through Mariah Williams' head. "I don't remember the story we were reading — was it about pigs?" says Williams, 16. "But I'll always remember watching his face turn red. He got really serious all of a sudden. But I was clueless. I was just 7. I'm just glad he didn't get up and leave, because then I would have been more scared and confused." Chantal Guerrero, 16, agrees. Even today, she's grateful that Bush regained his composure and stayed with the students until The Pet Goat was finished. "I think the President was trying to keep us from finding out," says Guerrero, "so we all wouldn't freak out." Even if that didn't happen, it's apparent that the sharing of that terrifying Tuesday with Bush has affected those students in the decade since — and, they say, it made the news of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's killing by U.S. commandos on May 1 all the more meaningful. Dubrocq, now a junior at Riverview High School in Sarasota, doubts that he would be a student in the rigorous international-baccalaureate program if he hadn't been with the President as one of history's most infamous global events unfolded. Coach Handbags"Because of that," he says, "I came to realize as I grew up that the world is a much bigger place and that there are differing opinions about us out there, not all of them good." (See pictures of the evolution of Ground Zero.) Guerrero, today a junior at the Sarasota Military Academy, believes the experience "has since given us all a better understanding of the situation, sort of made us take it all more seriously. At that age, I couldn't understand how anyone could take innocent lives that way. And I still of course can't. But today I can problem-solve it all a lot better, maybe better than other kids because I was kind of part of it." Williams, also a junior at the military academy, says those moments spent with Bush conferred on the kids a sort of historical authority as they grew up. " Coach ScarvesToday, when we talk about 9/11 in class and you hear kids make mistakes about what happened with the President that day, I can tell them they're wrong," she says, "because I was there." (Watch TIME's video of the celebration at Ground Zero after Osama bin Laden's death.)

nike sb shoes"Of course it explains why the royal couple postponed their honeymoon to Abbottabad," joked Jimmy Kimmel, one of the first U.S. television hosts to start mining Osama Bin Laden's death for comedy. The funniest thing about Kimmel's quip was that it appeared to contain a grain of truth. The announcement, the day after the wedding of the newly styled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, that the couple had "chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately" and that the groom would instead report back for duty at his air force base in Wales after a "private weekend" in the U.K., caught royal-watchers on the hop. Yet the wedding had been so meticulously planned and its secrets so jealously guarded (The dress! The Aston Martin!) that the newlyweds' decision to opt for a short budget break over long-haul luxury seemed just another exercise in wrong-footing the paparazzi who had already packed their Speedos in preparation for following them to a tropical paradise. Then came news of the storming of the compound in Abbottabad, planned in the week leading up to the nuptials and carried out two days after the event. hermes birkin bagThe British tabloid newspaper, the Daily Express, diligently found a security expert who agreed there could be a link between Kate and William's homespun holiday and the covert operation to eliminate the world's most wanted terrorist. "I would not be surprised if the reason the royal honeymoon was put off had to do with forewarning that this might be happening," said Professor Anthony Glees, director of the Center for Security and Intelligence Studies at the University of Buckingham. "The Government would probably have been told that now would not be a good time for the royal couple to travel off to the other side of the world." The theory was not implausible. It was, however, wrong—assuming in a skeptical age that demands documentary proof of births, marriages and deaths we are prepared to take palace officials at their regal word. coach factory outlet"There is no link between honeymoon delay (a personal choice of the couple and one made weeks ago) and OBL," emails one such official. "The decision to delay a honeymoon was taken several weeks ago," concurs another in a separate conversation. Sources in Westminster and Whitehall confirm their version of events. What is also true is that the police and security services are now alert to the possibility of revenge attacks directed at prominent sites and public figures. Five men were arrested as they photographed the Sellafield nuclear plant in northwest England on Monday, and a Scotland Yard source told the Daily Telegraph that Bin Laden's slaying had changed the "threat picture" ahead of the state visit to Britain of the President and First Lady later this month. Coach Madison CollectionsThe Obamas will be guests of the Queen at Buckingham Palace; whether they get to pass on congratulations directly to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge depends on the scheduling of that delayed honeymoon, which the Daily Mail confidently reports is planned for "mid-May" at an Indian Ocean resort "surrounded by coconut groves."

cheap nike shoes store"Is money important?" my 3-year-old asked this week. I answered truthfully with a hearty "Yes." I explained it to her simply, telling her that we need money to pay for our house and our food and her ballet class. Maybe it's because we're trying to claw our way out of a recession, but financial entrepreneurs seem to have jumped on the fact that, historically, parents haven't done a very good job of teaching their kids to manage money. And so, piggybanks, around for ages, now have a new twist: you don't just collect pennies anymore; you manage them — divvying them up between saving, spending and charity. (More on Time.com: When Parents Favor One Kid Over the Other, Is It Okay to Admit It?) The issue of money and why we need it has come up a lot in our household lately. My 6-year-old is smitten with the idea of selling anything she doesn't like anymore, from cast-off pebbles in her rock collection to formerly beloved dolls.hermes birkin bagRecently, she channeled her commercial spirit into doing good — creating artwork and selling it on the street to raise money for Japan. Where should the money she raises go? First stop: her Moonjar. A three-piece tin box, the Moonjar does the heavy lifting of creating a money-savvy citizen of the world for you. Each container is labeled "spend," "save" or "share." My husband found out about Moonjars when the company became his client; he told me about them because we'd been struggling to figure out how to instill smart financial habits in our kids. Mary Ryan Karges, Moonjar's CEO, says 13 states have financial literacy educational requirements — but not until high school. "That's too late," she says. "Our notion is that if you start teaching save, spend, share when kids are young, they'll grow with that. Coach OutletIf we teach save, spend, share with the same vigor that we teach stop, look, listen, we won't run into so many financial problems." (More on Time.com: Should Radiation from Japan Scuttle Spring Break in Hawaii? A Mom Agonizes) According to the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, 45% of college students carry credit card debt (the average debt is upwards of $3,000). That's hardly surprising considering that just 21% of students between the ages of 16 and 22 say they've studied personal finance in school. Parents aren't picking up the slack, either: just 26% of kids ages 13 to 21 say their parents taught them to manage money. Any parent who's ever strolled the aisles of Target with a kid begging first for a Pillow Pet, then for Silly Bandz, knows the drill: no, no, no, O.K., fine, but just this once. But meting out allowance, as my husband and I are finding, reframes the dynamic. "It changes that moment in the store from, 'I want that,' to, 'How much money is in your spend box?'" says Karges. Coach Madison CollectionsTeaching kids the discipline of saving — what my dad called "delaying gratification" — is as vital as teaching them to read and write, says Lori Mackey, founder of Prosperity4Kids, which sells products she created because parents told her they didn't know how to teach their children about money. Nike outletEven before the sun had risen, the crowd attending the beatification of Pope John Paul II had overfilled the square around the St. Peter's basilica. By the time dawn broke, the faithful had spilled down the road towards the Tiber and into the side streets around the Vatican, where the ceremony — the first major milestone towards sainthood — was set to take place. Many had spent the night, in tents or on blankets spread over the cobblestones. More than a million had risen early Sunday morning in order to join in the veneration of a larger-than-life Polish pope, who many felt had personally touched their lives. "I felt, when he was alive, that if I met him on the street, he would know my name," said Danuta Kowalik, 36, a teacher who had driven from Poland for the occasion. (See a photographic look back at the papacy of Pope John Paul II.) As the hour approached, the air above the crowd waved with flags: Mexican, Slovakian, French, Cuban, Lithuanian, but most of all Polish. "The entire world his here," said one Ecuadorian pilgrim.birkin bag Kowalik and her group of Polish Catholics had risen at 2 a.m. and driven through the dark in order to get to Rome on time. "In every gas station [on the three-day journey down through Italy], everybody was speaking Polish," she said. On the outskirts of the crowd, pilgrims sat down for picnics. Children tucked into biscuits and Nutella. An Italian priest led a group of worshipers through Ave Marias. Elizabeth Langenkamp, a 20-year-old sophomore at the Franciscan University in Steubenville in Ohio, had traveled from Austria, where she was studying for the semester at the university's overseas branch. Coach Outlet She had come to Rome with her class after the school had rescheduled the finals to allow for the trip. "It's important to us and for the world to recognize the great man that he was," she said. (Read "Is the Vatican Rushing John Paul's Path to Sainthood?") Pilgrims held up their cameras as Pope Benedict XVI arrived by open-top popemobile and ascended to the altar. The timing makes John Paul's beatification the fastest in modern times, initiated just days — instead of the customary years — after his death in 2005, from Parkinson's disease, when millions gathered outside the Vatican to chant "Santo Subito" — "Sainthood Now." Though John Paul remains the most popular pontiff in recent times, and perhaps even church history, some have questioned the speed with which he is being moved towards sainthood — particularly in the light of his handling of the sex abuse crisis, which unfolded during his papacy. But few were in attendance Sunday. Coach OP Art Bags"If the Lord had not wanted him beatified now, he would not have granted the miracle," said Carl Anderson, head of U.S.-based the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic lay organization. Before John Paul could be beatified, a miracle had to be attributed to him. In January, Benedict announced that the recovery of a French nun, who had lost her symptoms of Parkinson's disease after praying to the late Pope, satisfied that condition.

nike sb shoesOver two months after she was badly beaten and sexually assaulted by a mob in Cairo's Tahrir Square, CBS's Lara Logan is recounting the ordeal for Sunday's 60 Minutes (I can't embed the CBS video in our blog template, but here's a link). She's also done an interview with the New York Times' Brian Stelter, now online, in which she details the attack—“For an extended period of time, they raped me with their hands"—but also the process of publicly acknowledging it and the stories of assault against other women in Cairo, and female journalists elsewhere. Maybe the most unsettling thing about the video linked above is the camera footage taken moments before the assault began, as the camera lights go out and Logan and crew realize that they're in danger. hermes birkinI would expect that CBS would not have used the footage had Logan not approved and felt it necessary. For her part, she tells the Times, she "decided almost immediately that she would speak out about sexual violence both on behalf of other journalists and on behalf of 'millions of voiceless women who are subjected to attacks like this and worse.'” She also adds, understandably, that she does not plan to do further interviews about the rape after 60 Minutes airs: “I don't want this to define me.” Coach OutletThe 60 Minutes pieces airs Sunday night; Logan had her first day back at work yesterday.
