19.03.1964 -WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN' GOING ON - MANCHESTER
19.03.1964.Granda TV show with the title Whole lotta shaking gong on. He sang 6 numbers and this number was the grand finale.
It was a very wild performance and a very long version with Jerry at the end on top of the grand piano shouting minutes and minutes SHAKE BABY SHAKE SHAKE BABY SHAKE ........ and almost throwing his tie in the public, but holding on to it because he said he only had one.
The public went totally crazy and they wanted more, more, more but Jerry got exhausted after all those minutes.
Jerry continued as long as he could but collasped in his dressing room afterwards.
The press called it the wildest Rock 'n roll show ever.
Musicians : Jerry Lee Lewis : piano + vocals, backed by the British group The Nashville Teens.

30.06.1965. Jerry made his 4th appearance on the dance program of Englishman Jack Good.
He sang again 4 songs and one was his 4th millionseller HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL.
The rendition is very good and clear.
I see only Jerry and no other musicians, it looks live, certainly Jerry's voice and piano.
Jerry was very succesful in this program and it brought him back in the spotlights, but we have to wait untill 68 for a complete break, but than country.

8.03.1971 - I KNOW THAT JESUS WILL BE THERE - MEMPHIS
8.03.1971. Jerry was in his period of religious songs and the put out the gospel LP "IN LOVING MEMORIES", which contained the song : I KNOW JESUS WILL BE THERE. This song was written by all time friend and his road manager at that time : Cecil Harrelson.
This live version of the song is done, probably, in Memphis, Saint Jude's Hospital. The youtube video mentions simply : played in Church 1970. Who knows ?
Musicians : Jerry Lee lewis : piano + vocal, Kenny Lovelace : fiddle, Morris Tarrant : drums, Bill Strom : organ, Buck Hutcheson : guitar.
Jerry says a few words about the song before starting to play. His voice is very similar to the voice of Elvis Presley with the same Memphis dialect sounds in it.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

THE AUDIANCE (5000) WENT TOTALLY CRAZY AND NOT ONLY THE GIRLS AND WOMEN WERE SCREAMING, BUT THE MEN LOST THEIR HEAD AND WENT TOTALLY CRAZY. THIS I HAD NEVER SEEN AND HEARTH BEFORE IN MY WHOLE LIFE.HE WAS WEARING A BEARD THAT PERIOD BECAUSE HE HAD TO APPEAR IN A BROADWAY SHOW "CATCH MY SOUL".
