Lieve jASSperfamilie,
Dit zou wel eens het laatste blogbericht kunnen zijn dat jullie lezen voor je vertrekt naar ons mooie Bohan om onze taak weer over te nemen met jullie prachtkids. Dat verdient een speciale fotoreeks en een bevestiging van samenhorigheid en vriendschap met een hoop respect voor elkaar en begrip voor ieder zijn zijn. Rond het kampvuur hebben we "vrolijke vrienden" gezongen en marshmallows gegeten, koekjes en een lekker drankje gingen er ook vlotjes in. Nu zitten de 6-10's in bed en onze jongste had geen 3 minuten nodig om in slaap te vallen! Zalig toch! De grote hebben net hun "beloning" gekregen om hun "tangle" compleet te maken. Zo'n Tangle is een "speelring" die alle kanten kan opdraaien en die onrustige handen altijd iets te doen geeft. Hij is er in alle maten en kleuren en ze hebben elk hun eigen exemplaar samengesteld.
Er komt nog een laatste fotoreeks, maar dat zou nu wel even kunnen duren. Morgen zijn het weer de families die centraal staan en het grote verhuisgebeuren. Mag ik jullie bij deze, uit naam van het hele monitorenteam, bedanken voor het vertrouwen dat jullie ons gaven om jullie kind met een extraatje aan onze zorgen over te laten en ons te laten beslissen wat we hen aanboden. We hopen dat dat hun wereld net ietsje ruimer heeft gemaakt binnen de veilige grenzen van hun comfortzone en dat ze allemaal het gevoel hebben gekregen dat ze stuk voor stuk prachtige mensen zijn die het meer dan waard zijn om ons 100% voor hen te geven!
Persoonlijk wil ik, samen met elk van jullie denk ik, de monitoren uit het diepst van mijn hart bedanken en hen een hele indianentooi pluimen geven. Zonder hen is jASSper niets en zou de droom niet kunnen bestaan. De blije gezichten zijn hun mooiste beloning geweest, denk ik, samen met een handje in hun hand, een high five, een knipoog of een gekke bek. Als we de kids morgen weer aan jullie zorg overdragen, draagt ieder van ons een stukje van jullie kids in hun hart. We hopen dan ook dat er een zaadje van vriendschap gezaaid is bij elk jASSpertje en dat ze het gevoel gehad hebben geliefd te zijn. Het feit dat ze vertellen dat ze graag volgend jaar terug willen komen is ons grootste geschenk!

Hallo The best crew ever!!
Bij deze wil ik jullie als mama enornm bedanken voor wat jullie elke jaar weer doen voor onze Remi!!
Door jullie is hij op vakantiekamp enorm opengebloeid en bij jullie leerde hij zichzelf aanvaarden zoals hij is met ASS en kreeg hij de geruststelling dat hij niet alleen was en zeker niet minder was! Jullie kamp is het enige kamp waar hij elk jaar weer over praat en telkens weer naar uitkijkt!! Ik weet dat hij me straks al gaat zeggen hoeveel keer slapen nog tot de volgende keer!
Ook voor ons was dit een enorme verademing toen we Jassper leerden kennen, voor de eerste keer lieten we Remi, met een gerust hart op kamp, wetende dat er goed voor hem zal gezorgd worden door mensen die hem BEGRIJPEN en weten hoe hij denkt, wat hij nodig heeft, wat hij WEL kan!
ELke avond de berichtjes en nieuwtjes alsook de foto's maakt dat wij als ouders echt het gevoel krijgen "er bij " te zijn!! Het is zo leuk om mee te kunnen volgen en zien hoeveel plezier de kinderen beleven!!
En ook steeds weer een geruststellling en bevestiging, JA HIJ ZIT WEER OP " THE BEST CAMP EVER!"
Jullie leerden hem dat ASS een extra is en GEEN beperking!! Dat hij kan worden wat hij wilt, doen wat hij wilt net zoals iedereen, alleen leert hij het op een andere manier!!
Jullie zijn één voor één FANTASTISCHE mensen met een groot, gouden hart en weet dat ook wij als ouders, jullie in ons hart dragen voor de steeds fantastiche zorgen!!!
En ook wij elk jaar mee aftellen!!
