Saan's going to France after all, and she'd rather stay home. So no real posts until next Thursday/Friday and no real one tonight because she's gotta pack.
And scrambling behind the pc, back from her first day home comes...
...One tired Saan. She saw a lot of stuff in London. She only recalls the ones she bought souvenirs from, the last museum (Natural History Museum, by the way), the Millennium Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral. And the underground. And hurrying. A lot. Which was tiring all on its own. Having roommates with no sense of time and a taste for alcohol (God knows how or when they got it, or what it was), fatty snacks and partying. Ensuing in vomit and an overly tired Saan.
Normally, she takes a few weeks before she snaps. This time she took a few hours. The next day, she was a zombie; balance problems, the world spinning, half of all things said sort of avoiding her ears. That evening, she was, quite honestly, psychotically hysterical to the point that she was wishing out loud (the neighbours will testify to the loud bit) that she was home and her roommates would drop dead. And that she hated her roommates. When she still wasn't the full 100% the next morning, she got permission to leave for some sleep instead of doing London by Night on Your Own Without Supervision. She got two hours of sleep and shocked her roommates by her Amazing Ability To Be Civil. Her next breaking point luckily was about an hour after twelve, the night she got home. She got home late, but still managed to hit the pillow before eleven. Heavenly.
So today, she slept in. Checked her e-mail. Visited her daily sites. Revived the Official IFD Neopets Account. Read some. Dusted off her Nordic Walking poles because it was nice weather. Got out of a week fo Southern France (Don't argue, a week at home is good). Got visited by Yif. Updated her MP3-player until it was finished. Finished uploading Project Pi pictures. Posted a link on the Project Pi site. And filled in her blog. She hopes to do the London pictures tomorrow.
Saan is in today, 2th April 2007, and won't be back until tomorrow evening. Which is why there will be no post today. A tiny bit longer, guys, promise!
Saan's leaving for London early tomorrow morning, so she's busy today preparing for it. She's already sort of searched everything she needs together, and FINALLY finishing her Lupus in Tabula game. Another thing that's part of the preparations is making sure the site will post in Saan's stead. Then she'll probably have dinner, go look for her awesome new running shoes (Saan has running shoes. Hallelujah.), pack her bags and put on the tags with her address and cell phone number. And then she's going to try and sleep. See you all again on Tuesday.
Saan needs to develop one. She was like 'Okay, I'll just upload Saturday's pictures and then post this awesome post I've got in mind'. It's now three--no, wait, nearly four hours later and she is still uploading (It didn't seem like a lot of pictures when she was taking them, honest). She's forgotten what she was gonna post. And she still needs to clean up her stuff and go to sleep.
...New layout, new zippy-word-thingy, old poll removed, new poll put in place, rearrangement of the menu. Saan's homework's finished, she'll take the rest of her books home tomorrow and start thinking about how to pack her bag today. Someone pray for some divine help with the last bit.
Saan's weekend rocked. It was lightly tinged with sleep-deprivation-induced hilarity and Saan still has vague memories of nightmares filled with 'Free Hugs' signs, taking over Brussels-Central Station. And Li'll Miss H. in Waterloo Station, with the SECRET MISSION PLAN in full operation. Saan is vaguely frightened of trying to upload her 200 or so photos she took. Yikes.
Okay, so Saan got home with her usual reaction to rich food (here: Pringles) on a relatively empty stomach. She was half-conscious until half past way too late, when she was feeling detoxed enough to make some homework, pack her bag and try and catch up with her sleeping.
Sleeping didn't work so well, and hasn't since Friday night. Saan needs to remember where she put her alarm clock. Her internal clock works excellent, but sleeping in 15 minute shifts sort of defeats the purpose of sleeping altogether. Things, as you read, got late again on Sunday, and she had to get up early to shower again this morning. Yif didn't catch the hint of Saan's closed eyes and apparent deafness and woke her just after she got to sleep this afternoon. Saan's shiny new bookcase, which is the reason why she went to sleep late on Saturday, (One small new bookcase, and still she had to work an hour at getting all her stuff from the desk in there) got inspected despite Saan's protests. Saan's yelling woke up the rest of the house and the world's hatred for all sleeping Saans put this Saan in a pretty foul mood. Until the kinetherapist called to say someone had cancelled and Saan didn't have to come at half past nine pm anymore, but half past seven. Huzzah.
And now Saan's going to give sleeping another shot.
Saan spent her day enjoying Coudenberg and Bellevue in Brussels, picknicking in Brussels, staring at all the shiny policebulbs escorting the celebrities in Brussels, eating in Louvain and coming home dead tired. Sleep, she needs to sleep.
