Yesterday was a busy "PUPPY" day. I got new picures of Kjeld and Phil finally got his camera, so now we will be able to see what Roux looks like in Philadelphia and then I skyped with Katrin last night and I saw Kaya through the webcam. So lots of fun.
Katrin and Kaya had a retriever training last weekend with english trainer Sally Sanford. Enclosed is a collage of some action pictures. It looks like she is really enjoying herself!!!
Since the big golden retriever national show was held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA this year and it fell together with my annual visit there, we decided to visit it this year. The field part was held at a 2 hour drive outside of Atlanta and the obedience, agility and show was held at the Olympic Horse park in Madison, which was worth the visit by itself. What a beautiful location and huge!!! I met with Kelsey's breeder there and saw her sister Chili, who 's birthday it was that sunday also ofcourse and they both turned 12 and Chili looked great!! The field location was also beautiful , a private estate, with all sorts of land and very nice water (Jealous!!!) We took Kilt with us and saw lots of dogs of Sunday and then stayed at a hotel and he behaved perfect. He slept next to us on his bed and then the next day he went to the field trials with us and heard the guns, saw ducks and pheasants fly, dogs run and he thought it was just great and he was very relaxed. So lots of excitement for the Kilt. I also went to a training of some friends and took him with me and , again he saw wingers shoot the ducks, ATV's drive to put out the blinds and marks and then he decided he wanted to retrieve something also, so we let him get some ducks and he enjoyed that very much. For being the smallest puppy in the litter , he is a big dog, with a curly coat and looking good. Can't wait to see the males that live in Holland!!!
