Gorky Park is the answer to this question. In 1987 guitarist Alexey Belov, vocalist Nikolai Noskov, bassist Aleksander "Big Sasha" Minkov, guitarist Jan Ianenkov, and drummer Aleksandr Lvov came together to form Gorky Park. A US record deal was secured with the help of Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Sambora. By 1989 they had realesd their first and selftitled album and with that they had a hit with the song "Bang" and others singels as "Try To Find Me" and "Peace In Our Time" got mainstream radioplay.Gorky Park live shows often featured the band dressed in traditional Russian style, waving Soviet and American flags. They played the 1989's Russian "Moscow Music Peace Festival" with the likes of Cinderella,Motley Crue,Bon Jovi,Skid Row,Ozzy and the Scorpions. The band has never been officialy disband but put on inactive instead. They also realesd Moscow Calling (1992) ,Stare(1996,realesd in Russia only) and Protivofazza (1998).
