The latest teen craze and possible future rock icon, Tokio Hotel have sat down to answer our questions that may as well be jotted by their fans. Beside talking about their immediate plan this year, the German band also share some personal stories regarding their tour experience and how they handle their female fans, including how guitarist Tom Kaulitz wishing to reunite with the beautiful ladies in U.S..
Drummer Gustav Schafer and bassist Georg Listing also highlight on whose music become their favorites plus reveal how each of them can actually never have one unanimous favorite. Singer Bill Kaulitz unfortunately is not available for the interview since he is in recuperation post a throat surgery and that was exactly the first thing we ask.
ASB: So regarding your canceled tour dates, what really happened at the time, did Bill start losing his voice when you guys performed in France?
Tom: Yes, unfortunately Bill lost his voice after the show in Marseille. The next day he left to see a specialist in Berlin. First he had to rest and after he saw the doctor for the second time it was clear that Bill had to undergo surgery at his vocal chords. He is fine so! He is not allowed to speak and laugh for ten days (laughing) and thats a real hard task for him cause he normally speaks all the time. Now he is writing down everything in a book - thats his way to communicate these days. After the ten days there will be an intense phase of vocal rehabilitation. The doctor is very satisfied with the healing process and is positive that Bills voice will be the same after the whole therapy. Bill is really glad that he left the surgery behind him. He cant wait to go back on stage and perform!
ASB: For Tom, Georg and Gustav what do you guys do in the meantime?
Georg: We take the time to spend it with our friends and families and relax a little.
Tom: Im with Bill all the time and support him. And of course we do all the work we can do without Bill at the moment.
ASB: When do you reckon the soonest time to get back on stage in compensation of the axed dates?
Tom: We are very happy cause we just approved a lot of summer festivals all over Europe starting in June. There are also talks concerning earlier dates. (Laughing) Theres no doubt: As soon as Bill is allowed he will jump back on stage and we all cant wait to see our fans again. They were so great after we had to cancel shows. They showed so much support and love that we really want to thank them and be back for them as soon as possible.
ASB: Now that Scream has hit most part of the world and will soon hit U.S (May 6), what do you expect from the American fans?
Gustav: We just freaked out cause the album hit #6 of the Canadian charts out of the stand!
Tom: Yeah, this is really amazing. We actually cant believe it. With us its not about expectations. We just hope that our fans do connect to our music and lyrics, that they feel it. (Smiling) I personally hope to be able to spend more time with all these beautiful ladies I saw on our first trip.
ASB: Do you find audience in America as loud as those in your home country?
Tom (laughing): Oh yes! We always say that it would be a nightmare to play in front of an audience that applauses and doesnt scream. We love that excitement. Our fans a very energetic, very intense - they are the best fans in the world. And we were really blown away when we found out that the U.S. fans are showing the same energy. We loved it and we cant wait to come back.
ASB: Have you thought of doing a collaboration with other American band? Which one?
Tom: We havent done collaboration so far. But as they say: Never say never. But nothing is planned at the moment. ASB: How do you find time to write in the middle of the tour?
Georg: Writing is an ongoing process. We always find time to sit down with our instruments even on the tour bus.
Tom: Right. Sometimes I have an idea and play it to Georg. Or I go to Bill and ask what he thinks or if he has an idea for a lyric to the music. Or Bill wrote some lyrics we do the music to it. Bill writes all the time anyways. He is always carrying a piece of paper and a pen in case he gets an idea. (Laughing) You should take a look in his book, hes been writing all the time even now. There is no way to stop this guy.
ASB: What do you reckon the next album will be first, a German or an English?
Tom: Well, Bill always wrote in German. Its our native language and the language he can express himself and his feelings the best. (Laughing) And honestly our English is still way too bad to write in English. Even with an English speaking girlfriend, that would help a lot by the way, the songs will be written in German and than translated into English.
ASB: You guys won some prestigious awards like World Music Awards and MTV Europe Awards in 2006 and 2007 respectively, do you have more to expect out there after such recognitions?
Tom: We honestly dont think too much about that. But of course its great to win an award.
Georg: Specially the ones that are voted by the fans.
Tom: Yes, cause its such a great and intense feedback. But its not that we sit down and think about which award we could win next. Everything that happened to us so far is more then we ever expected at all. Receiving a World Music Award, being nominated at the MTV European Music Award with all these big and great international artists that have been around for ever, sharing the stage with them that night and finally winning that award - none of us ever even imagined something like this a couple of years ago, when we sat in our rehearsal room in Magdeburg dreaming of a record deal. All we ever wanted is to be able to play live in front of people that like our music. Everything that happened till today already went far beyond our dreams. And it really feels unreal sometimes.
ASB: Tokio Hotel has been on many concerts, do you have special unforgettable moment in one of the concerts?
Tom: Thats really hard to pick after we played so many amazing venues and concerts. Theres always something going on thats really great (laughing) like the one show were people threw batteries at Georg. He actually loves it, so dont hesitate to keep on doing it.
Georg: Ahhhhhh!
Tom: There are always signs that make us laugh during each show - (laughing) I just wish there would be more signs for Georg.
Georg: Ahhhh! Im actually glad that I dont get signs saying Tom, f*** you.
Tom (Laughing): Oh, come on. That was in France and the girl wrote that sign in German. We all know that she wanted to say: Tom f*** me and Im sure you pray for such a sign every night. But to come back to your question, playing in Paris in front of the Eiffel tower in front of over 500.000 people thats was an unforgettable moment for sure.
Everybody: Yes!
Tom: Being able to play three European tours its unbelievable for us. And getting the chance to go to Canada and the States to play there, finding out that all shows have been sold out - thats still incredible to us and something that is totally unforgettable. That doesnt happen to a German band too often, you know.
ASB: Dont Jump music video saw Bills character falling off the building, do you guys chip in ideas in your videos?
Tom: Yes, we are always involved when it comes to our videos. We always have a ideas in our heads once the songs are written and we throw them in and work it out with the director.
ASB: Weve been curious for sometime, which musicians in both your home town and international league that inspire you musically?
Tom (Laughing): You know, Magdeburg, the little town we are from, is not really known as the city that brings out great bands.
Georg (Laughing): No not at all. And its really not the place were producers and record labels would look automatically for talents to work with and sign.
Tom (Smiling): Yeah, weve been really lucky. But we actually never had an influence in that way cause our personal music taste is so different - we could never agree on ONE artist or band. I mostly listen to German HipHop. Bill loves Nena and he likes Coldplay, Keen, Green Day and Placebo - depending on his mood.
Gustav: I love the Foo Fighters and Metallica.
Georg: I listen a lot to the latest album of Jimmy Eat World and Im still a big Oasis fan.
Tom: We always wanted to create our own sound, do our own thing. Our music was actually the music we all agreed on. And it came naturally once we started playing in our rehearsal room.
ASB: Last but not least, being a representative of young artists, do you have wise words to share to your fans here on AceShowbiz?
(Everybody laughs!)
Tom (Laughing): Unfortunately you are talking to the wrong people here! We hate people that need to tell you how to do things and how the world is running. We actually think that everybody needs to do his own thing, to find his own way and make his own experiences. Thats what we always did. We had our own ideas, we wanted to do our thing our way. People can tell you so much and it will always be different. (Smiling) So if we had to give an advice it would be: do your thing any time and if you are a musician play as much as possible.

here we go again
Mjah, here we go again.
(verder nieuws volgt zo)

back to basic
ª Ahja, nu valt mijn frank -of euro- !

Spend our cash - $848 with Tokio Hotel
Im going to start gambling professionally goodbye rock & roll!
On the eve of conquering the U.S., German teenage pretty-boy rockers Tokio Hotel wager Blenders weak American dollars at the casino. Oh mein Gott! Oh mein Gott! Oh mein Gott! squeals Bill Kaulitz, the 18-year-old glamtastic frontman of German emo-metal-pop band Tokio Hotel. His hands, with fingertips pointing towards the casino ceiling, flap against each other like hummingbird wings, his Sonic the Hedgehog coif is too stiff to keep up with his bobbing head.
Its the final hand of Tokio Hotels day at a Hamburg casino, where they have decided to ruthlessly gamble the $848 Blender generously provided them. Laid out before Kaulitz are the ace of diamonds and jack of spades. The singers eyes, lined like a raccoons with smokey kohl** makeup, widen as he lets out a high-pitched Woooaaahhh! Blackjack! Gasping for air, he declares through a translator, I made so much money in such a short time, Im going to start gambling professionally. Good bye Rock & Roll! As Kaulitz and his band members - identical twin and guitarist Tom, bassist Georg Listing, 21, and drummer Gustav Shäfer, 19 edge away from the gambling table, a swarm of casino employees appear out of nowhere, bearing sheets of paper and pens, faces fixed with hesitant smiles.
The boys, who have sold 6 million CDs and DVDs worldwide and packed arena throughout Europe, are used to the attention. The twins have been performing together since the age of 9. In 2003, two years after forming what became Tokio Hotel, Bill gained his first taste of fame by reaching the quarterfinalists on the German version of Star Search with a precocious rendition of Its Rainin Men.
In the controlled environment of the casino, closed off for their personal use, the frenzy that typically envelopes Tokio Hotel (think The Beatles circa 1964 or Backstreet Boys circa 1997) has been expertly headed off there are vows of secrecy from the staff, vans with blacked out windows and bodyguards who sweep the area before the bands arrival. The security measures are as much for the boys as for their fans. An offstage sighting of Tokio Hotel is likely to make girls glockenspiels explode. You might be forgiven if youve never heard of Tokio Hotel. They are a phenomenon not easily understood, unless of course you are a 14-year-old girl with a soft spot of androgynous boys and a penchant for learning German. Because of the band, the Goethe-Institut in France cant keep up with the demand for German-language classes. After 5,000 Israeli fans signed a petition for Tokio Hotel to come there, the group flew to Tel Aviv, putting on such a raucous show that more than 20 crowd members required medical assistance. In July they played beneath the Eifel Tower and more than 500,000 people showed up. And somewhere twinkling in the heavans, compliments of one zealous fan, is a star named Tokio Hotel.
If their rabid reception in Hollywood and New York cities where they played three shows in February is any indication, ther low profile here may soon change. Thousands of hyperventilating girls (some traveling as far as 1000 mile) waited in line, tickets in hand, half a day before the venue doors opened. They further proved their devotion by singing songs, not just the soaring choruses, in the tongue of the fatherland.
(The bands first U.S. album, the all-English Scream, comes out in late April) Clearly, Tokio Hotels angsty anthems - Together we can make it while the world is crashing down (Ready, Set, Go!) connected. The admiration was mutual. In New York the girls dressed sexy in very short skirts in minus degrees! Bill marvels. Georg nods his head solemnly, adding Respect. First Class.
Inspired by the twins casino-themed 18th birthday last September, Tokio Hotel figured a gambling spree was the best way to blow Blenders dough. Unfortunately, given the exchange rate, we dont have much to offer: is that all that Im getting? Bill squawks after we hand him his 145 share. Ok, its not a big start but Im going to make 4000 easily. Georg agrees, We are in a positive area when it comes to winning and money.
A few spins at the roulette table later, the twins strategy of always betting on red isnt paying off. When black comes up for the third time in a row, the both scream Nein! But you must understand, Bill says, his manicured hands aflutter, I take red because its the color of love. But now I must choose black, the color of Toms soul.
When the steel ball lands on 20 black, Tom, who is sticking it out on red, turns philosophical: Bad luck in playing, good luck in love. It fits me losing because I am very lucky with the ladies. Blender asks his secret: Is it the perfect blonde dreads? The enormous, drooping jeans? Its like with our success, I just dont know, he shrugs. Its nothing I ever choose.
After their high-stakes session of Twenty-One and the departure of the autograph seekers, the guys count their chips. Blender finally finds out what they were hoping to buy with their winnings. A house, Georg offers. A car, says Gustav. A house in the sun, Tom adds. A small island somewhere in the South where its nice and cozy, Bill chirps. While they didnt win enough for homes, the band hardily beat the house. Everyone came out ahead, raking in a total of more than two thousand dollars as Georg puts it in his attempt at English.
After the croupier hands over a whopping 680 ($1020 to Tom, the days clear winner, the front man sings I am the champion! and beats his chest. Trailing him are Gustav with 485, Bill with 430, and Georg with 370. Georg, you can only buy a tent, teases Bill. But you can stay in my house .in the closet, with all the cleaning supplies.
Later, at the posh Hotel kempinski Atlantic, the boys sit in a green room created by their burly bodyguards and celebrate their good fortune with a champagne toast. The staff is atwitter and the guests sneak peaks at Bill. Its time to get to the origin of his goth-goes-glam looks, which inspire heated is he or isnt he debates on message boards. (The verdict: only haters think he is.)
When I was little, I was a vampire for Halloween, says Bill, laughing. Thats when I started wearing make-up and dyeing my hair." Blender retakes that when a co-worker saw a promotional photograph of the singer for the first time, he declared, Shes hot! Being mistaken for Germanys Next Top Model not only doesnt bother Bill, it inspires the return of the hummingbird wing hand claps.
Sometimes it tough to be reduced to being just beautiful, he says coyly. Its all about the music. Thats what I tell the other boys so they dont get too jealous.

even buiten Tokio Hotel

berichtje vn Bill
Berichtje van Bill aan MuchMusik
Hi, it's Bill from Tokio Hotel!
Just wanted to say "Hi" to all our Canadian fans - everything is a little chaotic these days since I had to have surgery on Sunday to get my vocal chords back in shape. Luckily, everything has gone well so far...what a relief! I am not allowed to talk for the next ten days and after that I have to start training my voice again.
It's definitely a tough time but I am getting so much support from all you fans out there, also the other three band members are coming by on a regular basis to check on me. Tom is especially there for me...practically 24/7.
I just wanted to let you know that I am really sorry that we had to postpone our Canadian concert dates but I can promise you that we are trying to catch up on them as soon as possible. Stay tuned and I hope to see you all soon!!! Oh yeah, thanks to everyone who got our brand new album Scream that was released last Tuesday in Canada - it's amazing to have the best fans EVER! Keep on rocking and take care!
- Bill

"GROUPIE SEX DISGUSTS ME"
A rule for journalists says that interviewing an 18-years-old is as reasonable as milking a stone. But it's different with Bill Kaulitz. His first kiss or the addiction to fame: the teen star who is often labeled as gay, talks more eloquent than most of the German showbiz veterans. VANITY FAIR met Bill shortly before his surgery and had e-mail contact with him after the surgery.
VF: Mister Kaulitz, how do you feel after the surgery of your vocal cords? BK: Well, just how you feel after someone shoved a metal rail down your throat while you were under general anesthesia, to cut something off of your vocal cords. Everybody knows this feeling. I'm really glad I'm over and done with this. But I'm still scared about my voice and I feel bad for the canceled concerts.
VF: For how long will you have to rest? BK: I'm not allowed to speak for 12 days after the surgery. After that I have to do four weeks of rehabilitation. I can't wait for this.
VF: Let's talk about the beginnings. It's said that creativity feeds from the memory of hurt and mortification. What was yours? BK: The thing that hurt me most was the divorce of my parents. I was seven years old and I didn't understand it. It influenced me a lot. There's a song about it on our first album. It's called "Gegen meinen Willen".
VF: Wwe know that your stephather Gordon Trümper is a guitar teacher. What is your biological father doing? BK: He's a truck driver and lives in Hanover.
VF: When you were 8 years old, your family moved from Magdeburg to Loitsche, where only 700 people live. How did you experience this move? BK: I felt terrible, because I'm not a country-type at all. You can imagine how Tom and I stood out. They looked at us like we were some aliens who are completely nuts. School was terrible too. I had to get up at half past five every morning, to catch the bus to Wolmirstedt, and wasn't home before half past four. How I hated this! And always the same faces at school. It was the worst time of my life.
VF: How did the teachers react to the brothers Kaulitz? BK: Tom and I were always together until 7th grade. Then we were parted as punishment. It was a real slap in the face which really influenced us. Until then we did everything together. We're identical twins and really close. Of course we fought the disciplinary transfer, but the teachers said that they wouldn't be able to stand up to us because we were both bigmouths. I wasn't somebody who raised his finger and then talked in a hushed voice. I always shouted. My mum was called to school every second day.
VF: It was your specialty to appeal class tests if those weren't given back to you in due time. Where did you get this know-how from? BK: I always knew that I don't need the school, because I'd be a singer. Because the teachers annoyed me to no end, I studied my rights. I knew what they were allowed to do and what not. I sometimes had a teacher that was completely awful. Some of them didn't want to say "Good day" to me because my hair was styled up and my fingernails were painted black. They said that I couldn't go to school like that. One of them didn't want to teach me because I look like I look. He said things like "Your head isn't only for nice hair." I was an anti-pupil and did not put up with any of this.
VF: How were your marks? BK: Great. I always had a grade point average of 1,8. That's what annoyed the teachers most.
VF: Were the teachers able to hurt you? BK: Not at all. I wasn't a sick freak, chewing on my nails. I was very self-confident. I went to school like this because I knew everyone would look and the teachers would talk about it. I enjoyed this. I wanted to attract attention with my styling. The people were supposed to talk about me.
VF: A short time ago, you finished secondary school via correspondence school. How important is it to be able to differ omelette from Hamlet? BK: Well, one should be able to tell the difference. But the school system is too less individual. Why should I study maths when I know that I will never ever need it again in my life? I dropped music in 8th grade. Everyone was dumbfounded. But we only learned the CVs of some people by heart - zero inspiration. I always got bad grades for singing because we had to warble folk songs. It was horror!
VF: Does the old cliché , that music was the ticket to escape the melancholy of the province apply to you? BK: Yes. I always thought: I just have to get away from this jerkwater town, where everyone knows everyone! The worst thing for me is everyday life. I hate everyday life. That's why Tokio Hotel ist he right thing for me. Every day is different: new cities, new people.
VF: Thanks to paparazzi and so-called reader reporter, you're now on a watch 24/7. Is this impertinence or completion? BK: When I was a little boy, I always imagined how everything I do is being recorded by cameras and how this is going out to the world. I wanted boundless attention. Now I achieved it. How can I be annoyed by this?
VF: Will someone ever be as important to you as Tom is? BK: No. It tops everything. I couldn't imagine a life without Tom. One can't describe how close we are to each other. It's something extrasensory. We often have the same thoughts and dream the same things. We actually don't have to talk to each other anymore.
VF: Many identical twins sense their symbiosis as a torture and provide murderous sceneries. BK: We argue of course. And if we have an argument, it's bad. We attack each other and punch each other. One year ago we attacked each other with chairs in a hotel room. But we don't bear a grudge. We slam the doors, one of us disappears and ten minutes later we talk to each other again.
VF: Who's closer to you: the natural Bill or the painted one? BK: Definitely the painted one. the natural Bill is like a masquerade to me. I would also walk around like this if I wouldn't be famous. It totally belongs to me.
VF: Who sees you in your original state? BK: My family. And that's it.
VF: Famous kids are the most corruptive species of artists, because they destroy themselves the older they get. Will you perform a fall from time to time, to keep your image interesting? BK: It's definitely good to show that you're not perfect. But I don't stress about this. To plan something like that so that your fans don't run away, is bad. What I hated from the beginning, were older bands or some people of record labels who wanted to explain to me how this works. There's no such thing as advice! In our first meethings with the record label, they wanted to give us a stylist who was supposed to work on our appearance. I still don't have a stylist who tells me what to wear. It would constrict me. We also decide about every concert and every contract by ourselves, because I think it's really bad not to be self-determined.
VF: Who is allowed to say no to you? BK: Job-related: no one. Neither the management nor the record label. The only ones I'm still listening to are my best friends and my family. My mum can tell me: "Bill, that's sick!" and I'd think about it.
VF: Do your parents still try to parent you? BK: I have to say, our mum never really did this. Doing homework was optional. She left us free space but always watched over us. There's a huge confidence between us. We are like friends. There's really nothing I wouldn't tell my mum. And I never had a secret she didn't know about. When I came home drunk for the first time, she said what she thought about it, but I didn't need to be afraid of her.
VF: Does your mum ask you to leave your hair at least on christmas alone? BK: No. She really doesn't care. I colored my hair for the first time when I was 9 years old. They were alternating between green, blue, white and black. I got my eyebrow piercing when I was 13. She was really laid-back.
VF: About 200 female teenager collapse from ecstasy during your concerts, they hold up posters with slogans like "Fuck me through the monsoon". How does it feel to know that millions of girls project their sprouting sexual fantasies onto you? BK: I don't think about it much, to be honest. Sometimes we look at each other and have to laugh because we just can't imagine that someone has posters of us on their walls. But I always thought it would be cool to hang at someones wall. In the past, I often sat in my room, thinking about what my idol Nena is doing, where she is and what she's thinking. I can't quite believe that other people now sit in their rooms and think about me. To me, I'm so normal, we are so unspecial to each other. We are oblivious to ourselves.
VF: How often do you think about yourself in third person? BK: Sometimes. But accidentally. When I'm unmotivated to do something, I think: Bill should do it nonetheless, because it's good for the band.
VF: Your aplomb appearance in public appears to be eldrich for some people. Is there a difference between the character Bill and the real Bill? BK: You keep some things to yourself. But apart from that, there are no great differences perforce. The last three years were a run without break. There wasn't a cut when you arrived somewhere and had some private time. Even on tour we had cameras all around us, 24 hours a day. How can you experience something that not everyone knows about only a few hours later? But that's what I always wanted. Thus I have to cope with it.
VF: Those we envy rarely feel enviable. What's the most annoying thing about being Bill? BK: The main problem of people like me is to trust. It's hard for me to believe someone and let myself go. During the past years I didn't make any new friends and I didn't fall in love. When I meet someone, I'm really careful and skeptic and ask myself: What's behind this? One unfortunately often meets people who turn out to be weird or tell something to the press. If I wouldn't be this famous, I would have probably fallen in love with someone I know a long time ago.
VF: Who betrayed your trust the worst? BK: I never let myself go so far that someone would have been able to do that. I wear a shield. To go out and get to know someone without telling someone beforehand is the biggest thing you have to forgo. Still, my current life is what I always wanted.
VF: Is the problem of trust the reason why stars often hook up with stars? BK: Yes. Angelina Jolie doesn't have to worry that Brad Pitt only uses her for becoming famous. A celebrity prefers someone who has the same life and is into this lifestyle as well. My girlfriends never understood why I went to our rehearsal room right after school and why I preferred to perform in clubs at the weekend, instead of sitting in front of the TV with them. Of course it's so much more difficult today. Who wants to live this life with you? And of course the person would also have to understand that you can't just get out of this life.
VF: When were you last in love? BK: Three and a half years ago. I haven't found the one big love. I don't think everbody finds it. And if so, only once. In my situation, I would need much luck to find it.
VF: With 18 years, don't you prefer to make out endlessly anyway? BK: I don't know. Precisely because of this life I would prefer to find the one big love instead of making out. I want to share my little time with someone I know about: This is the one!
VF: Did you already say "I love you" to a girl? BK: Yes. But I didn't mean it. I should have said "I like you." The older I get, the more serious I take those differences. Tom probably always says "I love you" to a girl to get her into bed.
VF: Do you compete for the same girls? BK: We like the same type. And our girlfriends were always friends with each other. It was godawful, cause they did always gang up on us. Our first kiss happened with the same girl. Tom was first. The day after that, she started kissing me. Then we were both over and done with it. Oh god, we thought it was shit - as awful as the first kiss is.
VF: How old were you back then? BK: Eleven. She was three years older and experienced.
VF: When had Tom his first sex? BK: He was 14, if I remember correctly.
VF: It's said that Tom goes through women like there's no tommorow. BK: I let him do whatever he wants. That he has the nerve to get someone else every night. I wouldn't fancy this. But we were always different when it came to that.
VF: Your colleague Robbie Williams once told us that there are two kinds of groupies in Germany. One kind wants to take a photo during the sex to have a proof to show their friends. The other kind would ask "Robbie, are you sure your feelings for me are real?" during the sex. BK: Tom also tells me this. Since we're on the road so much, I didn't take anyone to my bed. It disgusts me, to have someone I don't even know in my bed every night. I didn't reach this point yet. I wouldn't have the confidence to take a girl up to my room for one night. The only private thing you have while on tour, is your hotel room. And to let someone sleep there for one night - no, I'd be really skeptic.
VF: Did you already have sex? BK: I want this to be my secret.
VF: Does it surprise you that some people think you're gay? BK: Not at all. Most of them have this cliché way of thinking: make-up plus styled hair equals gay. I wanted to set this statement, that this is not the case. Everyone can do what he wants. One thing doesn't necessarily have to do with the other.
VF: What would you do if you were a girl for one day? BK: I'd definitely not hook up with my brother.
VF: But? BK: Oh my god, what would I do? Probably the same as I do now, cause I don't tell it apart.
VF: What would you like to forbid girls? BK: Not being jealous, because jealousy is very important. When I'm in love I immediately claim everything and don't let go anymore. It would drive me crazy if my girlfriend would tell me: "Bill, I don't care about all those screaming girls. I totally trust you."
VF: Were you ever deceived? BK: No. I also never deceived someone. Faithfulness is the most important thing for me.
VF: How did you annoy your girlfriends? BK: I speak really loud. The whole day. And always with hands and feet. And I never let people talk. Everyone's annoyed by that.
VF: Which is harder: loving someone else or loving oneself? BK: Oneself. It's really hard to stand by everything you are. There are incredibly many moments in which I'm insecure and would love to dig a hole to crawl in, pull a blanket over myself and stay there for a year. Sometimes I'm glad we're in this rush and have one concert after the other, this way you don't have time to think much. You just don't have time for loneliness.
VF: Can you still live without a celeb-sitter? BK: I can't just go to the bakery. So of course someone else does this. But I'm still suitable for daily use, because my problem is that I'm incredibly perfectionist. I can't let other people do things. It's abnormal - and gets worse. Everything has to be fixed into detail, cause I need to know exactly what's coming up. Or else I go crazy. Tom's also this stressed out. Although we pay so many people to relieve us of some things. But we created all this, so it's hard for us when other people lay hand on Tokio Hotel.
VF: Do you also control your finances yourself? BK: Yes. I already did this when I was 13. I have access to all accounts and control this just like I control my career.
VF: Do you know how many millions you've got? A woman with clipboard from the record label shouts from the background: "No talk about money!"
VF: When will you buy your parents a villa? BK: As soon as I can afford it. I definitely want to live together with my parents. We're so close, I wouldn't think of it being a strain. There are no limits where I'd say: "Oh my god, now please go out."
VF: Let's assume that you're kidnapped. What would be a reasonable amount for a ransom? BK: As much as all my friends could get together. Of course they should get their money back in the end.
VF: What do you think about the fall of Britney Spears? BK: I can understand how something like that can happen, because I live the same life. Other people probably think: "She has money, she achieved everything, why doesn't she just relax?" I couldn't imagine myself being a solo artist and to be alone on the road all the time. I don't trust myself to carry this huge pressure alone.
VF: Madonna said in 1991: "I will only be happy when I'm as famous as god." Are you congenial? BK: Of course it's a funny statement. But I can totally understand it, cause there's no stop. You don't just say: "Well, now I'm famous in Germany and that's enough." You aspire to be everywhere as succesful as possible. Even if I'd be immensely wealthy and would own my own island, I'd still go on. It's right: Fame is a drug. The detox would be a blow, I would hardly be able to handle.
VF: If drugs weren't illegal which would you like to try? BK: Something relaxing that leads to me not needing to control everything anymore.
VF: Are you a star in your dreams? BK: I once had a nightmare: I lie in bed, in a room made of glass and all around me are photographers, who take tons of pictures of me. I say to our team: "Shit, shit, can't you just get them out of here?" But one guy says: "No, I can't do that. You've got an appointment and you overslept." But I never missed an appointment. I always have three alarm clocks, so that I don't oversleep. And I'm never unpunctual.
VF: Why did no one ever see you dance? BK: I never dance. I just sit in the corner - unless I'm really drunk. I do it then. I think, dancing is a girls-thing. Even though is might sound chavvy: Only girls have to dance everywhere.
VF: Do you somethimes think about your own funeral? BK: I have to say: Yes. My friends, who are the same age as me, also think about it. You imagine who would be there and who would really cry for you.
VF: Which music should be played at your burial? BK: "Magic Dance" of David Bowie from the movie "Labyrinth". It's a really funny song and "Labyrinth" is a movie from my childhood and I still love it to pieces.
VF: What will you wear in your coffin? BK: I wear everything black and a leather jacket. My last will would definitley be that my hair is styled. I'll hopefully have enough hair left. If not, someone should definitely put a wig on my head.

Bill spreekt!
Enjoy.
Wish me luck!

klein berichtje over Bill
Another news report about Bill and his surgery:
- Tom and his parents were with him the whole time - After 30 minutes everything had been done - The Tokio Hotel singer isn't allowed to speak for 10 days
He made it. Yesterday afternoon Tokio Hotel singer Bill (18) had surgery on his throat. A cyst on his left vocal chord had been removed. His twin Tom and his parents were by his side the whole time.
"Bill's doctor is one of the best doctors in this department. The surgery went as planned and the doctor is confident." Tokio Hotel producer and manager David Jost told the B.Z. a short time after the surgery. But Bill is still worried. Understandable. Because of the surgery it could be possible that the voice has changed. It can be higher or deeper.
"Right now, you can't tell if Bill's voice will sound the same as before", said David Jost. Bill had moral support by "his talisman", his twin Tom and his parents. "They are with him in the hospital the whole time." said Jost. He will be allowed to leave the hospital today or tomorrow. "He has to go to the doctor almost every day this week for aftercare.". And Bill is not allowed to speak a single word in the next 10 days.
But so that he can still "talk" Tom gave him a small black board as a present. Chalk instead of speaking. He wants to be back on stage in may...

*grmbl*
After his successful vocal cords surgery Tokio Hotel singer and frontman Bill Kaulitz (18) eloped with his longtime lover and gangster rapper Bushido (28) to the Maldives. He left a short note for his twin brother Tom (18) on his bed in hospital, saying he now wants to start a new life after his marriage with rapper Bushido earlier this year, in February - and won't come back to Germany.
What a shock for Tokio Hotel fans!
A lot of trouble with screaming fans and stalkers, a stressful tour through Europe, concerts in the United States, the recent complicated and dangerous removal of a cyst on his left vocal cord, the hard life of a teen idol - all of that was too much for him. From this day on Bill's twin brother Tom will replace him as the frontman of the worldwide successful rock band, he was already seen entering the Capellmeister Studios near Lueneburg with vocal coach star Marc Benotti!
Manager and producer David Jost says: "Well, I accept Bill's feelings for Bushido. It's not something we have a word in. It's quite understandable that Bill wants to change his life after working hard every day to his limits, he's still very young. We now have to consider every option that's left for the band. Tom has a very nice voice, it's different to Bill's so this will give a new feeling to Tokio Hotel songs. He's skilled enough to handle both singing and playing his guitar! Maybe a new band member will join, we currently started negotiations with several still unknown musicians." Asking him if there's anything he wants Bill to know, he looked very sad and after a short moment he said: "Bill, we really want you back here, but I know this won't happen. Live your newly weds live, be happy and smile like you always did. We miss you, but we won't take away your happiness ... Live to the fullest!"
We're looking forward to their new Single "Breaking up" which will be released wordwide on 1st of May 2008.
Good luck, Tokio Hotel. Be happy, Bill!
Mjah, geen commentaar zeker ...

operatienieuws (2)
Alé, al een stukje vervolg op Bill. Mjah, dit heb ik jullie zonet verteld ...
Tokio Hotel Manager: Bill's operatie verliep goed.
