My clothespins basket broke. It just fell off the line once too many.
I used a tote bag instead, since that was the first thing at hand - I was about to hang it to dry ... but I wasn't completely satisfied with it.
So I have been thinking about a more handy solution. Not a basket, because that was not a long-lasting solution, I wanted something that I could hang over my shoulder like the totebag, but also had a more stiff opening so I wouldn't grab besides it instead of in it.
I could just have added an embroidery ring at the top, but I don't have one laying around, and buying one costs twice as buying 2 new plastic baskets.
This morning, I was just about to crush a 5liter/1.32gallon water bottle, when it hit me. PERFECT!!
All I used to make it a "basket" is the brim (neck) of an old t-shirt, a cord that came out of an old jacket, and 2 cord stoppers.
I glued the brim around the egde, just to make sure I won't cut myself using it, made a hole on each side for the cord, and used the cord stoppers for hanging the basket at the desired length.
That easy :-)
Although I will sew the brim as well, as soon as I have my sewingmachine out. Untill then, it will do quite fine.
