It's still itching, I was getting boored, and wanted to do something, so I started snooping around in my recycle box. Read: pulling everything out to see what I have left in there, so my livingroom looked like an exploded wardrobe.. and I came up with an old sweater.
Perfect! I instantly knew what to do with it: the cold and very old bathroom chair!
So after some measuring, and measuring, and drawing the design on the inside of the sweater, and again measuring, I started sewing.
Because I wanted it to be a sweater and not 'just some cover', I kept the neck. And since the logo was printed at the sleeve, I used that to cover the back.
Not bad ... for a "quick fix for a cold butt" ...
Now let's continue with the homesocks for my hubby, I promised him to be able to enjoy them before winter is over...
Under the guise of doing some finger- and beading exercise, I've beaded some crosses. Actually I just had fun making these
I like cross pendants, have a lot of them, but none of them is beaded.
Since I still don't have all the beading tools needed, both of those crosses took me quite a while to make.
I was cleaning out my diy-cabinets and found my beads... I've thrown out / gave away a lot of stuff, but these beads brought back sweet, 35y old, memories so I couldn't give them away.
I knew I couldn't keep them either, without doing anything with them, so I started browsing the internet about beads, beading, looming with beads, ...
and many hours later i found myself beading a little bracelet ..
2 days later it was finished. My wrists and fingers hurt, and some joints were swollen, but I was so proud!
I want to do this again, but not this week anymore. First my hands have to get better. So that I can enjoy this nice little bracelet just a little longer.
Finally!! FInished my pouf!
This was a "yeah .. whenever.."project. To be done but not urgent. Although I missed it, I wasn't in a hurry to finish it. All because other things seemed more important, more urgent.
But in fact, because I did'nt have the guts to continue... The inner pouf was ready and already in use. Very annoying, because it was actually just a floppy bag filled with little styrofoam balls.
So I gave myself a hugh kick under my backside, and got started. Only the zippers needed to be sewed in, that was "all" .
Since I am not a seemstress, it took me some time to get it worked out - it was too long time ago I used my sewingmachine but smart enought to - this time - take the manual to solve the problems with the thread clogging up the spoolhouse. From then it went smooth.
So here it is, my mexican pouf! Finally finished!
Still some fabric left for some decorative pillows though ...
This used to be my pair of jeans ... a
bit worn out, as could happen with jeans, so why not make it a bag?
To warm to study, it never was a good excuse, but hey, sometimes all excuses are good enough for having fun! And I had 30 times fun with making these envelopes!
Today, the stair well was next victim of my D.I.Y- optimism. We discovered under 6 layers of wallpaper a nice wooden wall, made from old planks. It took me all morning and almost all afternoon scrubbing all glue from the wood, but hey, playing with water thats not working, thats fun!

The wood has dried out perfectly, so time for a coat of primer!
Our diner table urgently needed some TLC,
the poor thing is over 15 years old and has suffered a lot over the years. The scarfs became "a little to prominent", and since that was a pain
in my youknowwhat for a while now, I started - whistling - with sanding off the
table.
Soon the whisling stopped, and then
changed in grumbling and moaning, itching and sweating. This was harder work as I expected it to be, but
since there was nobody around to blame but me, i just had to continue.
But then, after a whole day of hard work, the
result is above expectation. Only then, the cleaning could start ..... since I sanded the table in the kitchen ...
