Cedar Breaks National monument Before you are heading to the stunning Bryce Canyon national park, don't forget to stop by at Cedar Breaks National Monument. A lesser known place,but standing at 10000 feet with a nature made amphitheater it will definitely take your breath away. On the same exact spot, 60million yrs ago there was a Lake 'Lake Claron' ,after millions of years by uplifting &erosion the canyon was formed. Santa Ynez Canyon Trailhead
Santa ynez Canyon Trail,is a not maintained trail in the Palisades close to
Santa Monica .
It goes to some falls but last years there is no water anymore.
It's not that beautiful trail but many beautiful flowers and you are all on your own there.
It's more used by the locals than by tourists.

elevation of 7,984 feet, is the highest point on the Newberry
Volcano. This site offers a grand overview of the Newberry Caldera,

We stayed at the historic
Crater lake lodge wich is open since 1915.
When you enter the lobby you
will see a stunning fireplace ,its very rustic and peacefull
inside. A lot like
1920s style.
Outdoors there are great seats
with view on the lake.
if you lake after a long day
you can make awesome hikes starting from the lodge. a long the rim of the
lake.
The rooms are not very big but
they offer you very relaxing time and just a tip If you book a lakeside room
you can watch the sunrise from
your room. Staff is very friendly .
For dinner at the crater lake
lodge dining room ,dont forget to make a reservation its obligated .
To eat I can recommend
you the steak with fries , very helpfull & friendly staff will make
your stay very relaxing.
you don't have to wear any
chiek clothes just be you.
Because I care a
lot for nature and the planet I want to mention
that for them it's important to be sustainable
in every way they can.
The lodge is passionate about

Dean Creek
Since the 1930's the Dean
Creek Elk Viewing Area is the year-round residence for a herd of about 100
Roosevelt elk.
A mild winter climate and abundant food allow the Roosevelt elk
to remain at the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area all year.
In addition to the elk,
beaver, muskrat, and Canada geese all spend some time at Dean Creek,

coyotes, red-legged frogs, and the great blue heron. Migrating ducks use the
Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area
as a rest stop on their long journeys between
winter and summer homes,
and resident waterfowl raise their young at Dean Creek
