I chose to watch a football game between AC Milan and FC Barcelona on 23 november 2011 . I chose this because i didn't really had anything else to choose from.
The tournament begins in July. The teams first have to pass the qualifying rouds and a play-off round to reach the real tournament itself. The 10 teams who pass this qualifying round join the 22 already placed teams in the group phase. A group consists of 4 teams. Of those 4 teams 2 of them will enter the final knock-out phase which will be concluded with the final match in May. The match between Milan and Barcelona was a match for the first place in the group. Milan and Barcelona were already qualified for the knockout phase. The game started at 20:45 AM.

The game itself was really entertaining. Barcelona eventually won the game by 3-2. It was a really exciting game. It took Barcelona only 14 minutes to opening the score it was an own goal by Milan player Mark van Bommel, but Milan quickly reacted in the 20th minute it was Zlatan Ibrahimovic who found the net. However Barcelona got a penalty as Barcelona midfielder Xavi was fould inside the Penalty area. It was Lionel Messi who converted the Penalty to get Barcelona in front once again, 1-2.
In the second half of the game Milan equalizied in 54th minute. It was a superb goal from Kevin-Prince Boateng who controlled the balld superbly and then scissor kicked it past a Barcelona defender to fire theball in the net, but Barcelona went on to win the with a goal from Xavi in the 63th minute.
All and all it was a brilliant game with lots of goals and excitement.
