Past mistakes, past wrongs, and past memories, shape us who we are today, however these things do not define us. These are the reasons we have knowledge in certain aspects, they are the reasons we have strength and some weakness, these are the reasons that make us better people, and pushes us to become better human beings on this earth day in and day out. It takes special people to see these things not only in others but within themselves. And this to me defines true love. True love is seeing every hole in someone you love's heart, every frown line, every dose of pain they have felt or dished out, every physical scar and emotional scar as pure and utter Beauty. This is all seen, while this person carries these scars, guilts, pains and memories as weights and believes them to be flaws, and when you find this person you cant help but view there "flaws" as sunlight beaming on a diamond, surreal and cherishable. And with this, you connect with this person and help shape their thoughts, and make them see their true inner beauty and make them see that sunlight beaming down on the diamond for themselves. And when they finally see themselves this way, they will be on their way shaping your thoughts, eventually growing together in ways not anyone would of thought possible.

Dit heb ik net gelezen op de social media. Quasi direct, slaat bij mij de twijfel toe. Zou het dan bestaan? Zou er dan echt een plaats zijn , waar ik mezelf mag zijn; waar ik even niet sterk hoef te zijn? Of is dit toch slechts een utopie?
Hoe vaak word ons zijn, niet beïnvloed door wat anderen over ons denken en zeggen? Zowel op het werk, als in de vriendenkring, komt het voor.
Waarom voelen we onszelf verplicht, om dingen te doen omdat men dat van ons verwacht?
