I guess you've heard about the movie (or the comic) Hellboy. Now what has Hellboy got to do with yaoi? Not much actually... In fact it's all about Abe and Kroenen. This is a fanfic, based on those two characters of that movie and to say it with the maker's own words:
This is the story of two action figures and the girls who haven't realized that, at 19 20, they're far too old to love them. Welcome to the previously untold story of Abe Sapien and Karl Ruprect Kroenen, an online comic that proves you're never too old to play with toys. Now with 40 episodes, two holiday pictures and a Christmas special!
But at the moment there are already 52 episodes and more on their way! The story is fun, the pictures awesome and you just got to love both main characters... and the other. Even though the story is rather OOC (Out Of Character), there's more than enough canon stuff kept and the characters theirselves are kept very canon. I can only say: You have to read this online comic! It's amazing what they've done with those simple action-figures... and the action-figures they included from other fandoms ^_^

Mischien hebt u al gehoord van de film: Hellboy (of de strip). Nu, wat heeft Hellboy met yaoi te maken? Niet veel eigenlijk, maar de personages Abe en Kroenen des te meer! Dit is een fanfic gebaseerd op deze 2 personages en om het te zeggen met de woorden van de makers (Engelse versie, want de fanfic is uiteindelijk ook in't Engels):

Maar op het moment zijn er al 52 episodes! Het is een leuk verhaal, de foto's zijn fantastisch en je kan niet anders dan de personages graag hebben. Het verhaal is redelijk OOC (betekend: "redelijk uit zijn context getrokken"), maar de basis van het verhaal is behouden gebleven en de personages gedragen zich zoals de personages in de film. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen: Lees deze online strip! Het is ongelooflijk wat ze met eenvoudige actie-poppen gedaan hebben... en niet alleen met deze 2 actie-figuren ^_^

Ofcourse it's a lot better if you start reading from the beginning. I know there are already more than 50 episodes up, so it will take some time till you've read it all. It's worth it though!
Natuurlijk zou het veel beter zijn om het verhaal te lezen van het begin. Ik weet wel dat er meer dan 52 episodes zijn en het vraagt bijgevolg wel wat tijd om dat allemaal te lezen, maar het is het waard!

A nice site with friendly people. They have a forum and real helpful manga-reviews. I know, I'm going to review manga too at this blog, but do you have any idea about the amount of existing manga? ... No? ... Well, it certainly is too much for little me alone! So, check it out! You won't regret it!
Een leuke en vooral vriendelijke site met een forum en manga-besprekingen. Ik weet het, ik ga ook manga in dit blog bespreken, maar weet je wel hoeveel manga er bestaan? ... Nee?... wel, laat ik je dit vertellen, veel te veel ze allemaal te bespreken! Vandaar, check it out! Je zal er geen spijt van hebben.
Look! My very first manga review! At first I wanted to write about Fake, my all time favourite manga, but... I don't own all the volumes yet, so I thought it would be better to wait with that manga. Then I wanted to write about Wild Rock, because my lay out is based on that manga. But eventually I choose for Brother, a one-volume scanlated manga. As you might have guessed, Brother is about... 2 brothers and before I hear you screaming: "Oh! No! Incest!" Asuka and Yui are brothers indeed, but only because their father and mother got remarried and remarried each-other. That's how they became brothers, but they are not brothers by blood.
Story
I'm not going to tell too much about the story, because I hate spoilers and don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but this is yaoi-manga and I guess you can all figure out where the story will lead to. Mainly the manga is focused on the relation between the two brothers. Nevertheless, it never gets boring. There are ups and downs (yeah, literally ^_-) and most important of all: the artist made an effort to make the story believable. I like that when reading manga.
Characters
The main characters are Asuka and Yui. Asuka is the oldest, 22. Yui is 16 and pretty hot, but they grow during the manga (... errr... No comment! ) and if I'm not mistaken Asuka is 24 and Yui 18 at the end of the story. I'm not going to tell too much about them. You'll have to find out more about them by yourself ^_^
Drawing-style
I have to admit, I had to get used to the drawings at first, but it only took me a couple of pages. The characters are skinny and tall and somehow a bit stiff (NO! I didn't mean it that way! *hehehe*), but it's pretty well drawn and it suits (for lack of better word) the story.
Conclusion
I liked it and the hot and steamy scenes? Well they are hot and steamy! ^_^ Worth reading/downloading and definitely 18+
Mijn eerste manga-bespreking! Eerst wou ik deze maken over Fake, aangezien dat mijn favoriete manga is, maar aangezien ik nog niet alle nummers heb, dacht ik dat het toch beter was om daar me te wachten. Toen wou ik Wild Rock bespreken, omdat deze manga aan de basis ligt van mijn lay out, maar uiteindelijk is het Brother geworden, een ééndelige scanlated manga. Zoals je uit de titel al kan afleiden gaat Brother over... 2 broers en voordat er iemand begint te schreeuwen: "OH NEE! Da's incest!", moet je weten dat Asuka en Yui wel degelijk broers zijn, maar enkel omdat hun respectievelijke vader en moeder met elkaar hertrouwd zijn. Zo zijn ze broers geworden, maar ze hebben niet dezelfde ouders.
Het verhaal
Ik haat het te weten wat er exact gebeurd in een verhaal en wil er daarom ook niet veel over kwijt, maar aangezien het hier om yaoi-manga gaat, denk ik toch wel dat jullie min of meer kunnen raden wat er uiteindelijk zal gebeuren. Hoofdzakelijk gaat de manga over de relatie tussen de twee broers. Niettegenstaande dat, verveeld de manga op geen enkel moment en blijft boeien. Er zijn ups en downs (yup, letterlijk ook! ^_^) en heel belangrijk, de schrijfster heeft het verhaal toch geloofwaardig gemaakt. Dat heb ik graag in een manga.
Personages
De hoofdpersonages zijn Asuka en Yui. Asuka is met zijn 22 jaar de oudste. Yui is 16 en 'pretty hot', maar ze groeien... (Eh.... Geen commentaar! ). Als ik me niet vergis is Asuka op het einde van de manga 24 en Yui 18. Meer over deze personages ga ik niet verklappen, dat zul je zelf moeten ontdekken! ^_^
Tekenstijl
Ik moet toegeven, de eerste pagina's moest ik een beetje wennen aan deze tekenstijl, maar lang duurde dat niet! De personages zijn lang, dun en een beetje houterig, maar het past op de één of andere manier wel bij het verhaal en het is eigenlijk wel goed getekend.
Conclusie
Ik vond het goed en de 'hot and steamy' scenes waren.... hot en steamy ^_^ Zeker de moeite waard om te lezen/downloaden en zeker 18+

Everything that points in the direction of yaoi, deserves a place in this blog. Yaoi is a Japanese words, but nevertheless we aren't only talking about manga here. Everything that somehow reflexs yaoi deserves a place here and when I say everything I mean everything!
Sometimes more serieus topics find their way, such as explaining the word yaoi and other related Japanese words, a list with yaoi-manga, where to buy them, a list of DVD's, etc... Call it 'the Educative Corner' if you want ^_^
It's not because a manga is about yaoi it means it's a good manga. So that's why there'll be manga-reviews: which manga are worth reading and which suck? Of course there'll be a fair amount of fanvids to watch and fanfics to read. Then, there are the returning topics as well, such as: Featuring Hotness (hot guys from yaoi manga, mostly meant for drooling watching!) & Food for the eyes (nice pictures to watch... the eyes are allowed to have one and another as well, not?)

Alright! This blog is all about the eyes! ^_^
But most important of all:

Alles wat ook maar in die richting wijst, verdient een plaatje in dit blog. Alhoewel yaoi een Japans woord is, gaat het hier dus niet enkel over manga. Alles met betrekking tot yaoi krijgt hier een plekje en dan bedoel ik ook alles in de ruimste zin van het woord.
Soms komen meer serieuze onder-werpen aan bod, zoals het verklaren van yaoi en andere termen, een lijst met yaoi-manga, waar ze te kopen, een lijst van DVD's, etc... Noem het 'the Educative Corner' als je wil. ^_^
Het is niet omdat de manga yaoi is, dat ze daarom goed is, dus bespreken we manga: welke zijn het waard om gelezen te worden en welke niet? Natuurlijk zijn er de nodige fanvids om naar te kijken en fanfics om te lezen (Engels). Ook zijn er enkele steeds weder-kerende topics zoals: Featuring Hotness (be-spreking van hot guys uit yaoi manga's, vooral bedoeld om naar te kijken!) & Food for the eyes (enkel en alleen om naar te kijken, de oogjes mogen ook wat hebben, niet?)
