I'm writing this blog message just to let you guys know that Google is releasing it's newest version of Android, Android L this week. We don't know yet what the 'L' stands for. Rumors say it will be Android Lollipop, but others say it will be called Android Licorice. Both of them are possible and we're probably not gonna know what's the true name till Google releases it. We also don't know if Google is going to make it Android 4.5 or Android 5.0. What we do know for sure about Google's newest operating system is that it will be completely built using flat design, the newest rage in graphic design, web design and user interfaces. It will look a lot more minimalistic than Android 4.4 Kitkat. Also there will be a new feature called Android Runtime (ART) and it will replace Dalvik, the current Runtime-system built in to your Android-Phone.
I will keep you updated as soon as Google launches some more information, it will probably be October the 15th, as it's then when Google has invited their developers to take a look at the newest OS.
Have a good day and let me know what do you think about this all? Do you think Flat Design is cool or is it just a bit to simple for you?
