We are 4 friends from Belgium who are making a trip this spring from East-Timor to Saudi-Arabia. During this trip we will be posting on our blog.
We arrived in East-Timor from Brussels Saterday the 19th of Mars at 8h P.M. Normally we shouldve been there by 4h P.M. but our flight was delayed because of a turbulence. We spent the night there in a hotel named The Esplenada. Our room had a lovely panoramic view on the Dili bay. On Sunday we took a flight to Bali which is situated in Indonesia. By noon we arrived in Bali.
The weather in Bali was very hot today, it was 28 degrees. So we decided to go to the beach. From our hotel we took a shuttle that brought us to the Hyatt Reef, also called the Bali Hyatt. This beach is known for its high waves and lovely sand and every surfer knows that this is the place to surf. Miet and I went surfing in the afternoon while Anne and Laurens went snorkeling. We first took surfing lessons an hour from a local guide to know where we can surf and where it is dangerous. Then we tried to hit the waves, which went pretty well. At first we fell a lot but afterwards it went better. Though it was sunny we still needed our wetsuit to tolerate the cold water. http://www.happytellus.com/img/bali/kuta-beach---bali_4947.jpg
Anne and Laurens saw a lot of beautiful fish while snorkeling in Bali. Lucky for us Anne brought her underwater camera with so we could watch the amazing photos afterwards. The picture that I loved the most was the one of the Clownfish. It reminds me of the film Finding Nemo. You can find our Clownfish on the picture between the Anemones. The local guide on the beach said that they often live together.
By 7h P.M. we were dressed up to go on a sunset dinner cruise. It was a trip that you could sign up for. We could have our dinner on a cruise while watching the sun go down. It was very relaxing and romantic. A lovely activity to end our amazing and sportive day on the beach.
