Sony introduces their new mobile phone the Sony Xperia Z1
Sony has big ambitions with their new mobile phone. And they have a good reason to have big ambitions. The Sony Xperia Z1 is a really good phone. It looks good, it has good specs and hardware.
Let's take a closer look at Sony's new smartphone.
The best thing about this phone is his battery live. It can easily survive one day on its battery. And that's rare for smartphones on the moment. This is a big advantage. The display is impressive. The colours are really bright and sharp. You can view your photos in the best way possible. Taking pictures with the 7 megapixel camera is an adventure. It performs extremely well outdoors, in the sun or shadow. I have seen a lot worse.
What is not so good about this phone?
The specs are good but not impressive. Especially if we look at the comptetion. Here Sony maybe could have done it better. The speaker of the phone is rubbish. The sound is really not good but that's not so important for me. There are no other negative points on this phone I think. In the future I will defenitely take a closer look at this phone when it's time to buy a new smartphone
Nokia has a new showpiece. The Nokia Lumia 925 has to be the new flagship of the Lumia collection. But Nokia hasn't succeeded. This phone is just not good enough if we look at competition.
Let's take a closer look at the Nokia Lumia 925. What is positive about this and what is negative about it?
Let's begin with the positive things. The design is nice. It's a great looking phone. It's slimmer and lighter than the Nokia Lumia 920. This phone is fabricated with a metal band. It gives you a pleasant feeling when you are holding this phone. The camera is also from a superb qualtiy. It has a lot of megapixels, this garanties that you can take the brightest photos possible. You also have a lot of options to modify and adjust your photos. Another thing I liked about this phone is the integration of your messages, contacts and social networking. It's user-friendly.
The negative side of this phone
The specs and the screen are not impressing. This phone has nothing new. It doesn't has any upgrades if we look at the Nokia Lumia 920. This was a big disappointment for me. I expected more from Nokia. Their is also only 16GB storage room. That is not much for such a high-priced mobile phone.
I would not recommend this phone. Only if your are a real Windows lover is this phone a must-have. Their are much better phones on the market for a lower price.
A couple of weeks ago Apple has released the new Iphone 5S. You have three versions of the Iphone 5S. One with 16GB storage, one with 32GB storage and one with 64GB. You can also but them in three different colours: black,white and gold. The colour gold is al bittle bit girly I think. These Iphone has no big surprises.
The design of the Iphone is again really nice. It's almost the same as the Iphone 5. But carrying an Iphone in your hands keeps feeling good. Apple is not knowm as an innovative company. Their target audience likes that. Apple has build up a huge clientele of Apple 'fanboys'. These people buy everything that Apple releases. They feel the need to always have the newest Iphone.
The new Iphone has an A7-chip with a 64bits system. These chip brings a huge boost in power. It assures the people that the Iphone 5S can do everything that we want. The camera with 8megapixel has stayed the same with they worked hard on the camera his sensor. Now the photos are a lot better and more bright. A big disadvantage the price ofcourse. These phones are a lot overpriced. They are too expensive for what they the consumer offer. Another disadvantage is the battery life. You can barely get to the end of the day. That's irritating. Apple has to work on it.
The company HTC has created the most beautiful smartphone that I have ever seen. It's a real beauty. The people who don't like the design of this smartphone are fools. HTC wants to compete with Apple and Samsung with this phone. And they have gold in their hands. The HTC One has everything that a modern smartphone need. A briljant design, a supreme screen and lots of power under the hood.
This phone has a full HD screen of 4.7-inches. That's big but not too big like the Samsung Galaxy S4. With the 468 pixels you have a screen that looks extremely bright. The design is so beautiful because HTC has used a metallic body for the phone. It feels expensive in your hands. Also a smart design is that the speakers of the phone are in the front. By almost every phone it is on the back and when you put down your phone, the sound is disrupted. Here we keep hearing a bright sound. But not only the outside is important. The inside is even more important. With his Quad-core 1.7Ghz processor and 32 Gb storage room, it has no problem with every task you ask from this phone. It can easily compete with Apples en Samsungs showpieces. Also the interface of this phone is an advantage. It looks really awesome and it is something refreshing on the market. If i had the money i would buy these immediately.
A couple of months ago, in March 2013 Samsung released a new smartphone, the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 is the new showpiece of Samsung. It it the most powerful and desirable device Samsung has created yet. With this high-end smaprtphone they want to compete with Apple. And with this phone they have a big oppurtunity to become the leader on the market of high-end smartphones. It is the best smartphone that Samsung has ever made.
What is so good about this phone?
It's a combination of a lot of things. This phone has the best screen that is now available on the market. It has a full HD super AMOLED screen. The hardware in the Samsung Galaxy S4 is also impressive. With his 1.9 Ghz quad-core processor you think almost that you are working on a personal computer. It does everything so fast. And the Samsung Galaxy S4 has an impressive camera. A 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front. You will always have the best photos possible. The battery life is also a big advantage in comparison with the Iphone. Maybe a little disadvantage is the building quality. This smartphone is made from plastic and that can feel cheap for some people perhaps. But for me it is the best smartphone that you can buy at the moment
Google has released a new smartphone. The Nexus 5.
This smartphone is made by the comapny LG. LG is the company who has also produced the Nexus 4.
But what is so incredible about this smartphone? That's the price. In Belgium it wil only cost 399euro.
That's unbelievably low for this sort of mobile phone. The features that the Nexus 5 has are top quality. It has the newest Androidversion namely Kitkat. Also an eight megapixel camera and a Quad-core processor. And a lot more.
This phone is the best on the market if you look at the comparison price-quality. It leaves Apple far behind.
But why is the price so low?
We thank Google for the low price. They sell the phone with a really small profit margin.
This is also why I hate Apple so much. Ofcourse they produce excellent smartphones, Ipods and tablets. But the price is really too high. They make huge profits on their products I think. That's also a reason why a lot of people choose for Samsung, Nokia or other cheaper brands. And problably Apples market shares will keep going down. Especially now a lot of unknown Chinese brands come on the market with mobile phones. The battle for the consumer will become bigger and harder than ever.
