The group is originally from Aosta. Met the keyboard player and drummer back in 1994 in Torino when they were still practising and "sharpening" their music talents. Played keyboard in Davides appartment, met his brother Andrea in Parma. On Vespa with Gianfranco Zola. Day full of fun and drum beats with roommate Domenico in the appartment. Got the music in me !

Originari di Aosta ma proiettati musicalmente verso lEuropa, i Rara Avis nascono nei primi anni Duemila proponendo una gustosa mescolanza di brit-pop e folk-rock, che trova il suo trait dunion nella versatile voce madrelingua inglese di Elisa, perfettamente inserita nel contesto di un gruppo di musicisti italiani. Accolti da un grande ed imprevisto successo che ha fatto della band la realtà musicale più conosciuta della Valle dAosta, i Rara Avis, dopo la partecipazione a numerose rassegne e festival (dal ControFestival di Castagnole Lanze a Tavagnasco Rock, fino al Festival di Saint Vincent) e la pubblicazione del cd singolo Friends, nel 2004 hanno quindi dato alle stampe per letichetta riminese Dabliu Sound Life Of A Homeless, promettente esordio sulla lunga distanza con 8 brani originali ed una delicata cover di Father & Son di Cat Stevens, ripubblicato nel 2006 in una nuova versione ampliata per il mercato internet. Il gruppo RARA AVIS propone serate live in cui alterna brani propri di genere rock - folk - britannico, a covers rock - pop inglesi ed americane. Questa combinazione gli permette di proporsi ad un ampio target di clientela, con esibizioni sia in veste "acustica" in piccoli club, sia in veste "elettrica" in locali dagli spazi più grandi soddisfacendo le esigenze anche del tipico "live music pub", creando in ogni occasione, un clima coinvolgente e festoso. Grazie alla padronanza completa della lingua inglese si può proporre per serate live anche all'estero. Il gruppo RARA AVIS ha realizzato un CD "Friends" contenente tre brani in lingua inglese, già trasmessi su RAI STEREO DUE VALLE D'AOSTA e TOP ITALIA RADIO.
