    De studio's in Hollywood weigeren steeds meer om tegemoet te komen aan de hoge vraagprijzen van de bekende acteurs.

    Het afgelopen jaar is immers gebleken dat de grootste filmhits net de producties waren waarvan de cast bestond uit onbekende mensen.

    Deze maand zette A Christmas Carol met Jim Carrey nog een teleurstellende prestatie neer. Een reden te meer voor de filmstudio's om alle budgetten onder de loep te nemen.

    "Niemand zegt dat een grote filmproductie duur hoeft te zijn. Het was weliswaar de trend geworden, maar misschien was het allemaal misleiding", zegt een filmbons. "Recent waren Twilight, The Hangover, District 9 en Paranormal Activity erg succesvol. Nochtans werden deze films gemaakt met een klein budget en weinig bekende acteurs. En dat terwijl projecten van Bruce Willis (Surrogates), Adam Sandler (Funny People) en Will Ferrell (Land Of The Lost) totaal niet aansloegen".
