Geen smart drugs voor Shia LaBeouf
 Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) vervangt Shia LaBeouf als hoofdrolspeler in Dark Fields, de nieuwe thriller van regisseur Neil Burger (The Illusionist).
Het verhaal van de film is gebaseerd op het gelijknamige boek van Alan Glynn uit 2002. Daarin komt een jonge schrijver in het bezit van de ultieme smart pill, een soort designer drug die de efficiëntie van de hersenen en het lichaam verhoogt.
Leslie Dixon (Hairspray) bewerkte het scenario en zal de film produceren. Ze schrijft ook mee aan het script van de Hitchcock-remake The Birds.
