    Geen derde Narnia voor Disney

    Geen derde Narnia voor DisneyWalt Disney ziet af van recht The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn te produceren/financieren. Dit hebben Walt Disney Pictures en Walden Media vandaag bekend gemaakt. Budgettering en logistiek zouden de aanleiding zijn tot dit besluit.

    Het derde deel in de Narnia reeks staat gepland voor mei 2010. Welke consequenties het besluit van Disney zal hebben is vooralsnog onduidelijk maar er zijn geen directe redenen om aan te nemen dat regisseur Michael Apted niet aan het project verbonden zal blijven. Ook de cast uit de eerdere twee delen, o.a Ben Barnes, Georgie Henley, William Moseley en Anna Popplewell, zullen wederom hun opwachting maken.

    Toekomstige partners zullen wel over een diepe buidel moeten beschikken aangezien de eerdere twee delen gemiddeld bijna 200 miljoen dollar per stuk hebben gekost.
