The City of Long Beach, New York "the city by the sea"

Firefighters from Essen, Belgium Visit the City Belgium volunteer firefighters receive the "Key to the City," from City Manager Charles Theofan, left. Also pictured are Essen firefighters Geert Van Gils, Korporal Johan Somer; Sammy Groenen, Korporal Johan Broos, Scott Kemins, Long Beach Fire Chief and Scott Glazer, ex captain and current volunteer firefighter for the City of Long Beach They carried their colors at the parade and Fire Chief Scott Kemins and ex-captain and volunteer firefighter Scott Glazer brought the Essen men to visit City Hall and City Manager Charles Theofan. The City gave the firefighters City Manager Charles Thefan receives a gift from Essen firefighter, Korporal Johan Broos. the "Key" to the City and the Essen firefighters presented the City with an etched-glass plague of its city's symbol--a volunteer firefighter. City Manager Theofan also received a box of Belgium chocolates.
