This is a poem I wrote a few years ago to cope with everything that was changing in my life.
It was back when I was diagnosed with severe depression and was told I had to take anti-depressants, this was a less then fun moment so I dealt with it the only way I knew how. WRITE!
I know I'm not the best writer out there, and don't consider myself a poet, but I hope you will like it.
My head, medicated
My body, sedated.
Lost all sanity
Crushed by many.
Eyes cried hazy
Feeling crazy.
Done trying
Slowly dying.
I recently heard a song that connected to me in the same way that writing this poem did. It's called Medicate by Gabbie Hanna.
