1 – Enrolment is open to all pigeons, national and international, and everyone should have an official ring Federation / Association of the Year 2012

2 – To ensure the health of pigeons, with quarantine, vaccination, and creating immunity groups, the pigeons will only be received on the following days:

March / April and May

3 – Each team will consist of three pigeons, pigeons 1 and 2,your nominate birds,and will compete in  all races be eligible for any prizes up for grabs. Your 3 rd pigeon will be your reserve pigeon, and will compete for prizes up to and including the SILVER RACE. This pigeon can only compete in the final ALGARVE GOLDEN RACE , if your first two nominated are lost, or alternatively you may activate your reserve at a cost of  250 euros, no later than 20 th September 2012.
- The cost of each team is 500 euros. (3 pigeons)
- The pigeons entered in a team can not change the team.
- Each participant may enter a maximum of 10 teams in the same name.
- For every 10 teams entered the competition will be entitled to a free team.
-Replacements for lost, ,sick or injured birds, is authorized  at no extra entry cost, until  the 31st of May.
- PIGEONS No. 1 and No. 2 – will be the main birds of the participant, and will compete in the  ALGARVE GOLDEN RACE, and all prizes up for grabs . If your nominated pigeons 1-2 are not in the loft to compete in the SILVER RACE on 15 th September they will automatically be replaced by your reserve pigeon, but if your 1-2 nominated birds return, the last one to return will take the place your reserve pigeon, but you may still activate your reserve up until 20 th September ( 250 euros )t o compete in the ALGARVE GOLDEN RACE.

4 – The birds should be vaccinated against PMV, within 10 days prior to shipping, and have between 30 / 40 days old. They will be sent to the Loft Algarve  Pigeons Golden  Race, to the Faro airport,  or representatives in several European countries . More information about shipping’s  in January in the website,   goldenracealgarve.com.

5- The prize fund was decided based on 700 teams entries. How the limit of pigeons  in the loft is limited to a maximum of 1.000 teams, a place in the loft will be provided based in  “first come first served”. To enter simply email  your registration form to  golden.race.algarve@gmail.com    or directly in the website  www.goldenracealgarve.com , and after  you must then send a no returnable, deposit of 100 euros,( in case of cancellation ) for each team, to arrive no later than 15 days after registration, to ensure your place.

6 – After they enter the loft the pigeons become the property of the CFS-Algarve, and all will be auctioned after the final  Golden Race, and 50% of net revenue, will be for the participant and the other 50% to the organization, which will provide part of its revenue to support needy children in the region. The participant is entitled to 50% of the proceeds from the sale of all his pigeons, but if any pigeon is not sold in the first time that goes to auction, the participant loses the right to 50% in future sales.

7 – All birds must be accompanied pedigree in a sealed envelope will be opened only by the organization after the final race. The pigeons do not track pedigree,   the owner shall not be entitled to 50% of the auction.

8 – All birds entering the loft will be given an electronic chip and the identification ring will be officially sealed, and will only be open to the basketing final race.

9 – The basketing for the final race will be conducted by the organization, under the supervision of independent witnesses and where all the pigeons in a wing will be stamped with ink and the word ALGARVE. It will then be available for attendees, media and the club’s website, all participants in the final race pigeons, what’s your  identification ring number   and chip . The pigeons will be accompanied to the place of release by independent witnesses that oversee the release, that will be made with the support of the  national meteorologist.

10 – All prizes up for grabs are based on the input 700 payed teams ( 3 pigeons each).  The organization reserves the right to change premiums in proportion to the number of entries. The final value of the prizes will be posted up day May 31, 2012.

11 – The Loft will be followed by national rules of non-use of drugs and the pigeons will be reviewed regularly by the official veterinarian.

12 – All training and testing and scheduled to compete, may be altered by bad weather conditions, or others outside the organization. The decision of the organization is final.

13 – Any conflict, not covered by this regulation will be determined by the organization, governed by national laws of Portugal, and this decision is final.

14 – The system of verification of arrival of the pigeons in training and testing  will be an electronic system  authorized .

15 – The birds will be housed in a loft built for that purpose and that everyone has the same conditions the lofts will only perches.
16- The best ranking in the final race of each Country ( with at least 10 teams payed) has 1 free entry in the next edition.

17- In the loft  will be using the  system “darkening the loft” in order to delay moulting pigeons.

SPECIAL REGULATIONS

-The organization will accept invitations from  county schools, and charities in the area (one pigeon per entity), to a maximum of 30 invitations. The pigeons that entered into the loft resulting from calls described above will have free registration, and participate in the first 4 contests, that is up to the test SILVER RACE, and be entitled to all the prizes up for grabs. The best bird  of these entities, in  the classification of the Aces, after the 4 th Race Silver proof will be entitled to participate in the final GOLDEN RACE.   The auction revenues of these birds will be in full for the reporting entity, not wanting the organization any amount. All entities that will be  interested in participating should request the pigeons to their partners, friends or any fancier, and will have to provide information about who will benefit from the amounts earned. The Organization will give priority to projects , in schools give priority that are presented in which the revenue accrues  for needy students to purchase books and computers. In the Charitable Institutions will give priority to projects that revenue also revert to the most needy, and in particular the purchase of wheelchairs, books, computers etc..

The organization will work to divulgate  these pigeons, and authorities, publicizing the projects proposed in order to attract funds for projects.

Apart from the support described above, resulting from participation, the organization ensures that part of the proceeds from all auctions will be for buying textbooks, computers, wheelchairs to needy children in the region.

RACES AND AWARDS IN DISPUTE

There will be disputed in ALGARVE GOLDEN PIGEONS RACE, the following:
1 – ALGARVE GOLDEN RACE – 29 September  – 500 km-   WINNER 100.000 EUROS

- Apply to this test all the pigeons initially registered as No. 1 and No. 2. The pigeon 3, only if one of the first nominated pigeons lost, or its owner has activated until Sept. 20, 2012.
2 – ALGARVE SILVER RACE – 15 SEPTEMBER-  300 km-   WINNER- 1 CAR  or  10.000 EUROS

- All birds will participate, birds 1-2 and reserve.

-The reserve pigeon, of each participant, taking part in this  race RACE SILVER, will not compete again unless your  first or second nominated birds are lost, or its owner has activated the pigeon to compete in the GOLDEN RACE  until  September 20, 2012.
3-    ACE PIGEON-        WINNER-  1 CAR  or  10.000 EUROS

- They compete for this prize all pigeons entered in the loft, pigeons, 1, 2 and reserve, participating in contests and  in the final test GOLDEN RACE. Reserve pigeons only participate in the final test GOLDEN RACE if activated until 20 September. Winner will be the pigeon with the best average in the sum of four  contests and final test GOLDEN RACE. In the event of a tie the winner will get the best pigeon in the final race classification..

4 –FIRST 3 RACES – CONTEST WINNER FROM EACH ACCORDING TO AWARDS LIST

-All pigeons in your team, 1-2 and reseve will compete for prizes in first 3 races.
5 – TRAINING – There are 8 training flights all pigeons entered in the loft, with no right to any prize, except the training day on September 22 – Beja, in which only participate pigeons who will participate in the final test GOLDEN RACE, pigeons 1 and 2.

- LOCATION LOFT

-The loft is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the most western area of Europe, the Algarve, more exactly in Monte Gordo, Vila Real de Stº António, Algarve, Portugal,.
The loft is a distance of 3 km of Spain, 40 km from Faro Airport, 0.5 km from the village of Monte Gordo, one of the best beaches in the world, several hotels, a casino, restaurants, etc. etc..

Information / Clarification

The organization  of Algarve golden Race informs / clarifies,  that comply with all rules and tax rules applicable to the event, reports that the values ​​of the final awards will be announced after the close of entries, and will be value gross, subject to deduction of tax applicable IRS  (retention at source) rate will be in effect under the IRS code.
