24 juni is een belangrijke datum in deze streken. Je moet er aan denken alcohol en suiker in huis te halen, okkernoten te plukken en notenwijn te gaan maken. Een niet te versmaden likeurwijntje!
En het hele dorp verzamelt rond Le feu de la St Jean. Zou uit dit gebruik de buurtfeesten gegroeid zijn? Meer over dit vuur in bijlage.
24 of june and we prepare to make wine out of nuts. And we participate in the 'Fires of St John". Getting together around a big table with food to share and afterwards the fire around wich we sing and dance. And some do jump over it! An old custom that brings health and luck during the following year.
