Meeting Brooke Delano the captain of the Nebraska Huskers and coaching the Huskers
My Dad is currently doing a Volleyball camp for girls in Lincoln Nebraska. My sister and I usually go with him to his training and play volley with each other or against the wall and sometimes help my dad getting the balls. My dad has the camp for three days and then a day off and every time there are new girls. During the period we are in Lincoln my dad will have three camps and on the second camp I became coach of my dad's second team . I was playing against the wall for a long time and wanted to have a drink so I went to the basket to put the ball away and Brooke Delano, one of the students at the University and captain of the Huskers started talking to me. We spoke for more than half an hour and continously asked each other questions. That was on the second day and on the third day my dad usually has a tournament. The next day I again went with my dad to The Coliseum and was asked to stay and coach with Brooke in that hall because my dad, mum and sis were going to another hall (There were almost 300 participants). I stayed and coached the team to two wins and one loss. Now its getting quite tricky because my dad also has three day sessions, morning, day and evening in the evening we played our second round of matches and won all of them. We were champions of the camp. Nowadays I've been asked to join freindly matches and play peppers with players. Its so fun down here mail me if u have reactions comments questions or ur own story.
Walt Disney World was so cool. From fun fairytale rides to fast and wet splash mountain, Big thunder Mountain and Space Mountain. Also fireworks and Buzz Lightyear made me do push-ups.
On our way from Nebraska to Orlando Florida, Disney World we came past Missouri where the biggest flood took place since 52. The water had washed away houses and we only could see the top of some silos. We came real close but went on.
This period I've been really busy because my family and I are moving country. I'm moving from Cyprus where I had a great time to Belgium were my parents married. So we packed our stuff in one week, sayed goodbye to everyone and left Cyprus on the 25th of May. We arrived in Belgium and stayed in an appartement until we find a house. After three days there we took the plane to America. Newark. New York was great. We went to central park and saw the statue of Liberty. To be Continued...
A museum, maybe sounds boring but not at all. It was educating and fun at the same time. We started of with a suprise we didn't have to pay an entry fee because my dad works here on the camp so we just entered the fun. On our way throughwe saw old skeletom of a mammoth three times the size of my dad's. The biggest mammoth found until now on Earth. What the cool thing is about it is that it was discovered by a couple of chicken, picking above the mammoth's skeleton . We went past giant turtles (dead). I saw the largest tree trunk 1.5 times my dad. I saw many other cool stuff, believe me and u!!! From remade aquarium to the first horses. and the longest fishbackbone. The coolest part was the planetarium where I watched supernovas and the galaxies. It was quite a big museum. Want to hear more, don't hesitate to mail me.
Wow The Lincoln children museum is so cool. Its actually for kids under my age but I liked it more than my sis. It was based on a city for children, there was a Police department were you could communicate with someone sitting in the cabin of a real firetruck and a hospital made of wood. A veterinary clinic, a pizzaria, a tree house, a post office an airport, a spacecraft, a theather a hot air balloon and much more what I liked most was the farm were u could sit on a horse or mik a cow and because American football is a big sport they made a miniature feild and a locker room and of course last but not least a volleyball.A day of fun.
