Ever wondered how it would feel like if you could eat inside a foodtruck? 🚌
I found the cutest little place, Mission Masala, just outside the busy citycentre of Antwerp on the trendy south.
It's a place you would rather find in the hip streets of London or hipsterheaven Berlin. So it was no wonder that the owner of the place had Indian roots but with a London twist (I knew it!).

We went with a party of 3 and it's good that we had reservations (definatelly required) cuz the little "foodtruck" was packed.
When you come in the amazing smells of real India makes you dream of the sun. They welcome you with a mix of streetvibes and typical indian lounge.
The first words you can read on the wall is "curry club" and after this dinner I definatelly want to be a part of that club.

The lady of the house, Indian roots and raised in London, makes you feel comfortable right away and expains the menu with a cute London accent.
The menu is basic but clear. It's devided in to 3 catagories:
🍽 Street snacks: those are a combination of little appetizers to share with real Indian names (pappadoms, butta and samosa)
🍽Bombay bbq buns: a burger with choises of lambmince, chicken masala or paneer (a type of cheese like halloumi) with a side of onionfritters
🍽Curries: the most amazing curries with a side of pickled, spicy onions and naan or cuminrice.

We decided to go with the papadoms (a kind of taco's topped with lambmince and a mintyogurt dressing), butta (corn on the cob with mango mayo) and bhaji (onionfritters) to share and 2 types of burgers (queen latika and pow pow paneer) and the boom ting butter chicken (omg, how amazing does that even sounds 👀) as a main.

The food tasted exactelly how it smelled, delicious. Although we did get a wrong starter and a wrong burger (maybe it was too busy?) we couldn't care less cuz it was all amazing comfort food(it snowed today so we were in need of some heat 🔥). They fixed it by giving us the right bun and they even left the wrong one for us to eat without extra charging (very well played 👌🏻)
I had the butter chicken: tender, smokey chicken in a bright red tandoori sauce with a side of naan AND cumin rice (I have to taste everything ☺️) they marinate the chicken for over 12 hours in the tandoori spicemix, after that they cook the chicken on a low heat in a steamer for about 1 hour before they chargrill it on their bbq the moment before serving. All that efford payed off because it makes a juicy tender chicken and an amazing

After our indulging meal we ordered ourself some Chai, a typical Indian tea served with milk. It's a really sweet, thick tea and tasted a little like rice milk with coco. Though I like to try everything this was not my "cup of tea".

I definatelly coming back here because it's a great place for all those times that you want that holiday vibe but can't afford the travel✌🏻
    Mission "Masala" accomplished.🥇
