All rooms offer an extra level of luxury with comfortable beds, a unique light-desin and spacious bathrooms.
Oak-wooden floors and high grade natural materials create space for mind and soul.
All rooms are accessible by elevator and furnished with two single beds and a desk with internet connection. They are equipped with a telephone with direct access for incoming and outgoing calls, television, radio, mini-bar and a built-in vault. All rooms are air-conditioned.
*Included in our roomrates are a delicious breakfast buffet with table-service, drinks in the mini-bar, high-speed internet, safe and one parking lot per room.
These rooms are significantly more spacious than Marquise and Javanais. Two of them view over the courtyard, the other two are located adjacent to the Heilige Geeststraat. The bathrooms feature a bath with a built-in shower.
Amandine and Savarin are equipped with a toilet that is separate from the bathroom. Délice and Pithivier feature a pleasant terrace that looks over the Pas.
These suites are our showpieces. The bathrooms, in which a bathing robe is hanging at your disposal, feature a comfortable bath and a shower. Both suites feature a beautiful terrace.

Our rooms derive their name from the world of pastry and bear lofty names like Marquise, Amandine or Délice.
A colourful close-up of these culinary masterpieces is hanging at a central place on the wall of your room. In this way we tried to emphasize the affiliation with the adjacent house of Verlooy, a bakery-pastry with a rich tradition in the region.
After all, it is our guests that enjoy this cooperation: at Hotel Verlooy each day will begin in the nicest way: with an oven-fresh breakfast, straight from the baking oven of bakery Verlooy.
Pets are not allowed in the hotel.
All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
For an extra bed in the room we charge 35 per person per night.

In case of no written reaction within 24 hours after receipt of the confirmation of the reservation, Hotel Verlooy consider that you agree with the conditions concerning cancellation and the confirmation Hotel Verlooy gave you.
If Hotel Verlooy do not dispose of valid credit card details after sending the confirmation, Hotel Verlooy has the right to charge the costs.
Please give a written confirmation in case of a cancellation.

Hotel Verlooy is a project of Herwig Verlooy (48) who, after he took over a small bakery in the Heilige Geeststraat in the year 1979, quickly became one of the most prominent bakers in the region. By creating the Coeurs d'Amour, a heart-shaped chocolate filled with a tender paste of hazelnut and almond, he became well-known across our national boundaries. In 1991 this delicacy won the image-building award, an item in the competition of entrepreneur of the year.
The idea to run a hotel along with the bakery came to Herwig in Germany and Austria where this combination is more widespread than in Flanders.
'the going together of a hotel and a bakery has always fascinated me', Herwig says, 'it radiates warmth and cosiness. For the building next to the bakery I have cherished hotel-plans from the beginning.'
After eight long years of designing and building, Hotel Verlooy welcomed its first guests at January 3rd 2005, thus continuing a centuries-old tradition that seemed lost in the midst of the 90's.
In 1993 Hotel Het Lam was torn down, one year later the same fate fell to De Sportwarande. This meant, in only two years time, the city of Geel had lost its two remaining hotels in the city-centre.
Located on the intersection of roads our city has always needed a place where travellers could stay and this need has not decreased in the 21st century. Hotel Verlooy meets this age-old need in a very up-to-date way.
