Whispering Oaks " Kate"- Bente lives in Friesland in the north of Holland with Rones & Maaike. They have had goldens in the past and also Rones competed in Fieldtrials and Working tests at a high level. No other dogs anymore now, so starting all over with Bente and is already working with her. Rones & Maaike I need a picture of you two with Bente or some updates, when you have time. Good luck with her training!!
Whispering Oaks KIRSCH-"Roux" went with us in the plane to Atlanta for a long flight, but she did great and her new owner Phil was waiting for her for a long drive to Philadelphia. She will be living with 6 other dogs on a bunch of acres, where Phil can train her to get her ready for the Nahra and AKC hunttest, which he plans to do with her. Good luck with getting all those ribbons!! There are some pictures taken by a friend, but she still needs to send them to me and then I will put them on.
Whispering Oaks "KJELD" lives in Bodegraven, Holland with his owners Jobert and Frenny and their other 11 year old golden Faust. One daughter still lives at home and she is very involved in horseback riding at a very high level and the whole family rides, so I am sure Kjeld has seen lots of horses already. He will enjoy a life of lots of outdoor activities with the whole family. Good luck with him and keep up the pictures>
Whispering Oaks Kinclaith "FIN" went with Gina & Thomas to Switzerland and they will do hunttraining with him. They are new at this, but have lots of experts around them who can help them and I wish them lots of luck and enjoyment with Fin. Keep me updates with news and pictures please.
Well laptop fixed and we will continue. First to show is Kaya going home to Austria and we are getting lots of good feedback from them. www.morris-kaya.jimdo.com This is their home page for anyone who would like to follow her progress. They have lots of plans for her, from Search & Rescue to hunt , agility and tracking and have already started her training. Good luck.
Whispering Oaks Kane- "Fitch" went to Blaricum, Holland He is their first dog , but everyone is eager to learn and he is already taking puppy classes with their son Teun. I received a video from them with the training he is doing with Fitch and it looks really good, but I do not know yet, how to put it on the blog or even if I can ,so any pictures are welcome. Good luck with the training and enjoy him.
Please this a request to the puppy owners ( new or old),
Since I do not have access to my laptop now, I do not have any of your email addresses, so please could you all send me a quickie with your address.
Thanks a lot , Boukje
Well, back home to a laptop that is crashed again, so cannot add any pictures yet.
All went well and all the mails and calls from the puppy owners are very positive.
They are potty trained, almost all sleep through the whole night and are biting like crazy, which, unfortunately is totally normal as big molars are coming in and that hurts ( just like babies)!!!
BUT that does not mean you have to let them bite!!! Distract them, give them a raw bone or anything else, a toy that is designed for that like a kong made out of very strong rubber.
As soon as possible I will post the pictures that you all have send me.
Until then.
Well, after a beautiful Easter Weekend all the pups left for their new homes and arrived safe and sound and the reports, I have gotten , say that they are all adjusting to their new surroundings. Myself and my american friend left very early Tuesday morning for Zaventem, to catch a plane to Atlanta, a 9.50 hour flight! Kilt, her puppy went with us in the plane and the other one, Kirsch went in the hold and I had never done it before ,but she did great and was waiting for me at baggage claim and admired and petted by everyone as was Kilt on the plane and before we took off at duty free. We finally arrived at 5.00 pm at a park where we met friends and the new owner of Kirsch who also has been a friend for years and he drove up from Philadelphia to Atlanta to pick her up and then drive back there the following day. We had an outside drink and wonderful snacks that other friends brought, so all in all a great ending of a long flight and for me a wonderful litter of 7 beautiful puppies. I wish all the new owners great fun and happiness with their new puppy and I hope they all stay in touch and send me pictures ,which I then will put on the blog again , for all can to see them. When I get back home, I will put more pictures on. Till next week. Greetings from a very stormy Atlanta, which had a devastating tornado close by last night, that killed people and destroyed houses and properties.
Today's pictures. Lots of outdoor fun again and then the weather changed and looked like rain (Well it never did), so we went inside and are having fun there now!!
Today, I picked up my friend from America and she is taking Kilt home, she has ELi's brother Dutch, so he is now an uncle. We took the pups for their first car ride and let them walk one by one on strange terrains and tested a little how they would react. All did great and they went wild and are now exhausted laying outside. What a weather we are having!!!! Tomorrow another car ride.
Well today was check-up day and vaccination day and chip day!!! They all check out really good and all had their shot (distemper and parvo) and got chipped, so now they are officially traceble and got their own paspoort. And then they all fell asleep in the sun!! What a weather we are having and will continue through Easter, awesome!! Saturday we get chipcontrol and DNA taken of one puppy and lots of company to look and play at puppies!!! Eli is off the pups now, but continues to show herself and lets them know she is till their mom, but they are surviving fine without her.
